Sadly I don't think the hype would be anywhere near as big if they were easy to find and in stock everywhere. Nintendo are repeating what happened with Wii, out of stock = demand = hype.
The whole point of NintendoLand was to show of the asymmetrical gameplay the Gamepad offers for LOCAL multiplayer. Not everyone is as obsessed with online play, especially not for little mini games like that. Voice chat especially would have added nothing to Wii U launch sales.
If NintendoLand had been packaged as a budget £30 game like Captain Toad I would have had no issues getting it. Fantastic set of games and I like the whole collectable aspect as well. As well as the obvious gems I really liked DK's Crash Course, the Balloon Fight game and even the F-Zero one (once I realised to just play by watching the tv).
Nowhere near as accessible as Wii Sports obviously, but far more fun IMO. Great arcadey feel to the games and the visuals and sounds are just perfect.
@Wii doesn't like "pukemon" (another bit of genius) remember, therefore, Nintendo should stop making it.
Yes, by releasing well over a dozen titles in 2015, that really sounds like they want to get the year over with.
Aonuma a few weeks ago: "it's released next year"
Miyamoto: "wow, you'll really have it out next year?"
Aonuma: "yes, absolutely"
They didn't have to say any of that, but chose to make a point of it. No way will Zelda get delayed. Though not sure why I'm arguing with someone with such a terrible history of release date predictions
Agree with most of the above
- X and Zelda to be released in 2015. The latter for sure, they wouldn't have made a big point of saying so otherwise.
- Captain Toad DLC
- Dedicated Amiibo game. I'd love a platformer but some party game board game nonsense seems more likely
- Metroid 3DS. Not exclusive to new 3DS. Think they'd rather take advantage of the 40million install base than start from scratch on that front
- Animal Crossing U maybe?
What's been revealed + some of the above would be a pretty incredible year.
I've not been warned about anything, I was asked to calm things and stop poking you with a stick, which I did. But the comments about being "disgusted" with the Shovel Knight devs for daring to put on such a massive discount of 4 quid are very hard to ignore. Stop acting like they wronged you personally because you had the misfortune of recently buying a 2 month old game.
If you stopped being such a drama queen and didn't post like Nintendo and the gaming world at large need to focus their efforts on pleasing you and only you and I will stop going on about it. What's obviously not true?
Oh I'm sorry, 2 months minus 5 days. That obviously changes everything.
You're "disgusted" that a game that's been out for 2 months is slashing a massive 4 quid off its price for a week? And because of that you've decided not to buy indie games at launch? Get a grip man.
It's going to be a barren year for you, because of your limited tastes, not a barren year for Nintendo. It'll be a packed year for Nintendo.
"Project Rubbish", and I thought Captain Turd and amoeba were bad, but we have a new winner.
2014: Donkey Kong, Mario Kart, Hyrule Warriors, Bayonetta and Smash
vs
2013: Pikmin 3, Wonderful 101, Wind Waker HD, Mario 3D World
Yep just about agree 2014 wins.
Don't forget Starfox, Mario Maker and more MK8 DLC all set for 2015 releases. It's going to be a great year for Nintendo, I wouldn't be surprised to see one major title a month, and that's before any ND or E3 surprises.
Classy.
Once again, the gaming world doesn't revolve around what you want or when you buy. You may have bought it last week but the game was released nearly two months ago. Regardless, even at full price it's worth every penny of its budget £13 price tag.
Serebii may have a high opinion of himself at times but he's never downright nasty like you often are. He's courteous to a point and it's something you should try yourself sometime.
@Hero\-of\-Time you and I should make a pact like the NVC crew that if either of us find a Little Mac online we'll inform the other immediately (after ordering :P)
