  1. A sequel to Excite Truck would be amazing, what a gem that was in the early Wii days!
  2. Yeah completely agree. Plus a new Mario announcement would take all the hype away from Mario Maker.
  3. More trustworthy than the competition that's for sure. I just think this is different to them delaying Zelda. That was forced on them because of extra development time needed. Unless they are deliberately trolling us I see no reason to not believe them when they say it won't be at E3. They got that disappointment out of the way early.
  4. People should stop getting their hopes up about Zelda at E3. They may show off an image or something like that but I doubt very much it'll be part of their presentation. They've categorically said "it will not be there", that's a little different than showing a far off game in a Direct focusing on the present. I'd like to think I have a little bit of vision thanks. All I said about Animal Crossing was that a lot of people would welcome it. 1 fifth of all 3DS owners bought it, that's an excellent attach rate.
  5. Nintendo have said "Zelda won't be at E3" therefore it won't be at E3. The EAD team in charge of Pikmin are busy working on Mario Maker at the moment. A lot of people would welcome an Animal Crossing. New Leaf sold 9 million copies.
  6. The BBC is a UK service. We pay a license fee to have it. The rest of the world doesn't therefore they don't get it.
  7. You finally got Little Mac!
  8. Great post @tapedeck, couldn't have put it better myself
  9. It's so simple! Make more! Why didn't Nintendo think of that genius idea
  10. Then don't stupidly call them retards for not just producing more if you realise the problem and solution aren't that simple.
  11. You really should stop equating filesize to quality. It's bad enough when you do it with games.
  12. Great news! Plus it'll be nice to have the improved Villager design
  13. I get where you're coming from but do you not think the fact that the unlockable amiibo content is so low-key and how you get multiple unlocks for a variety of games is a huge mitigating factor that should be taken into account? One Mario amiibo will probably end up unlocking things in 15+ games by the end of the Wii U's life cycle. If you look at it like pay walled content in one title fair enough you might have a point, but the majority of figures unlock far more than that.
  14. What's your bank card number @Hero\-of\-Time
  15. It's extra development work that wouldn't have been in there without amiibo. It's not a case of them partitioning it off, more a case of them putting extra hours into the project because of amiibo.
  16. An example of unlockable on-disk content that IS obnoxious and disgraceful are the treasure chests in Assassin's Creed Unity that you can only open if you've signed up for a paid service or have downloaded one of Ubisoft's bull$hit apps. I'm sure there are plenty of other examples like that in modern games.
  17. Why should we get something that's taken extra time and effort to develop for free? Buy a £10 Mario amiibo and as well as the figurine you get a racing suit in MK8, bonus items in Hyrule Warriors, a trainable AI fighter in Smash, a Yoshi skin and a Mario board in Mario Party 10 (and probably other things I'm forgetting) not to mention dozens more to come over the next few years). All of that from 1 figurine. Again, why should we get content that's taken extra development time for free? And in reply to your original point, yes I do think it's a bargain.
  18. Can no one else see that he just doesn't get it?
  19. Oh FFS. THEY ARE FIGURINES!!!!!!! Get it through your head that they are cool looking COLLECTIBLE FIGURES and that that is the reason people buy them! jesus. Stop finding things to annoy you, stop nitpicking every single f-ing thing. Sit back. Relax, and just shrug your shoulders. They're wildly popular, people love them and your life or well being is in no way threatened because you miss out on Yoshi skins or Mario Kart racing suits. Again, in case you missed it, one more time: THEY ARE PLASTIC FIGURINES. THAT is what you are paying for. Not the unlockables.
  20. No worries, I'm sure you'll scrape a complaint from something, anything, else in no time. Refreshing to read the comments about the amiibo unlocks in this game on NintendoLife, not a single negative word: http://www.nintendolife.com/news/2015/05/video_discover_what_happens_when_yoshis_meet_amiibo_in_this_new_yoshirs_woolly_world_trailer Edit: Didn't take long... Nintendo have said 40+ amiibo will unlock skins. The list on Eurogamer only has 27 characters in it. The Youtube video clearly shows Sonic, Pac-man and Megaman at the bottom.
  21. Certainly is, especially when you get content from more than half a dozen games from the same figurine. A figurine which would cost just as much in shops without NFC functionality.
