  1. My posts were in reply to this: Apart from being confused why "intensity" matters, I'd argue that a nicer visual style trumps an "impressive" one.
  2. Nice header!! I'm very tempted by this game but I'm worried it won't be for me. Is there much platforming or is it mostly just battles and conversations? I loved Sticker Star and Super Paper Mario for the platforming.
  3. Mario Kart 8 looks stunning and will continue to look stunning for decades. Uncharted 2 looks dated now, and will look even more dated in ten years. You can argue a lot of things against Nintendo, visuals are not one of them.
  4. That reads like nonsense I think. Going through it sounds like educated guesses without even delving in that deep. "Interact with your games on go" would never be a slogan. Way too clunky sounding.
  5. You've made a great choice, there's loads of brilliant games to choose from and a lot are cheaper these days.
  6. They push the boundaries in gaming all the time. Excessive narrative is good but not at the expense of gameplay like in so many other titles. I play game to have fun not to watch an interactive film of cutscenes. More IP would be great but you can't blame them when they're in the fortunate and unique position of having lots of internationally recognised IP. Larger breadth of games will be catered to with third party support. When considered as one developer they put out an excellent breadth of games, IMO.
  7. Personally, whilst I love my PS4, give me Nintendo games any day of the week over the mainstream stuff on the competition. I find PS4 games to be akin to summer blockbusters, impressive popcorn flicks that you soon forget for the next one around the corner. I don't believe "the fore" of the industry means lots of terraflops and more power. And before you mention voice chat and online infrastructure, then yes I agree with that being something that Nintendo do lag behind on, but when it comes to the games, Nintendo games stick in my mind a lot more and I find overall a lot more fun. The Wii U has some amazing titles.
  8. Thanks for the heads up, ordered Wind Waker Link and 8-bit Link! Not only are they cool figures but in a couple of years time they'll both likely unlock content in 50 different games. Love it.
  9. Really? I think it's quite likely tbh, especially if NX doesn't do well. The only unlikely part, which you may have been referring to, is them competing with Scorpio/PS5 on power.
  10. I'm pretty sure Nintendo said they would talk exclusively about NX in Q4, so I'd be surprised if they kept everyone waiting that late.
  11. Shudder. Funnily enough Nintendo revealing NX shortly off the back of that disaster might have actually been for the best!
  12. Definitely getting this, all the best NES games in one tiny package for a great price? Yes please. If that's what you're looking for, I have just the thing
  13. What! Ages and Seasons were great! The video reminds me how great and creative the dungeons were too.
  14. No wonder they wanted to keep it under wraps till as late as possible.
  15. A professional PS4... nope still doesn't make sense to me. Neo sounds way cooler, Pro sounds generic and boring.
  16. Glad you're enjoying it. It's heart pounding stuff at times but so much fun. Visit the blacksmith and armoury to unlock other attacks and level up your heroes. Also be careful about your party's positioning to make best use of their attacks. Personally I turned corpses off in the options menu, it made a lot of people angry when they first introduced that mechanic so they put in an option to switch them off.
  17. Wow! Wish there was a way of getting that stand without Mario Party
  18. That's it exactly, or at least my take on things. I think the people who devote time every day for COD or FIFA (and nothing else) are just as casual as the ones who played Nintendogs on DS and not much else. Anyway, as Serebii suggests, they're just labels, it's really not important.
  19. I'd say she was a gamer. Someone who enjoys the games industry and all it has to offer.
