  1. Oh FFS, what a stupid thing to say. I may have gotten a few facts wrong or shared some worst case scenario concerns, but not once did I outright lie. It's the same thing where Ashley gets the price of the Switch Pro controller wrong, or Rummy says Nintendo said something at the press conference they didn't. They got their facts wrong, but they weren't LYING. And as for spreading misinformation, again no. I shared my personal concerns about the mid-generation hardware upgrade and got shouted out from all sides. Meanwhile sharing concerns about the Switch is fair game, because hey, it's Nintendo. And let's not forget, given by that point there were no facts about the PS4 Pro, there was nothing to lie about! Is this a guess or have you heard as much?
  2. Fair enough, then as you say, don't buy a Switch until you're told exactly how much online will cost in Q4, whether it's £20 or £40 a year.
  3. Unless of course it's £5 a year in which case it's an absolutely fantastic offer. Again, arguing without knowing the facts.
  4. It's online (and free) from day 1. Party chat later in the year. If that isn't enough information for people to know whether to buy a Switch now or not then
  5. Not revealing the price (yet!) is a HUGE issue for a service that's launching properly in Q4? Really? Zelda, Bomberman, MK8, Arms, Splatoon 2, Mario, Street Fighter, Sonic, Sonic Mania, Steep, Rayman Legends, Binding of Isaac, Fast RMX, Has Been Heroes, SnipperClips, Shovel Knight, Rime and Redout for me in the first nine months. So far at least.
  6. You ridiculed my suggestion they'll talk about it before launch calling me a blind fanboy, but fine mate, whatever.
  7. Xbox's disastrous E3 was so bad they had to reverse course and change things. Switch's hazy online details isn't quite on the same level.
  8. I will absolutely admit I was wrong. I won't apologise because I've nothing to apologise for.
  9. I didn't call him a blind fanboy. I read the above, and assumed you were joking. Then read this... I guess not :| So you think Kimishima saying "we will announce details at a later date" was referring to the website saying "more details at release"?
  10. Ok, I expect an apology if Nintendo do a Direct or announce those features before release.
  11. Instead of jumping to conclusions based on one probably inaccurate graphic on the website, why not wait you know for sure. If we get to March 3rd and nothing's been spoken of, then feel free to go off on one.
  12. No, that never happened. They never said anything in the conference about details coming after launch, they just said at a later date. Careful @Ashley will call you a liar for saying something like that. The most likely explanation is it's just some poorly worded statement some designer put up on the website, and that there'll be a Direct in the coming weeks that'll go into more detail. First of all, that's a ridiculous argument you're trying to make, but more importantly I didn't mean what you're suggesting. I meant I was pissed off about the speculation that a PS4 Pro was going to be released, everyone shouted me down (obv) saying that I should wait until we know for sure before complaining. So which is it, can we all complain before we know facts or not or is it a different rule for Playstation?
  13. Hyperbole. Information will come out. They just did a huge drop of information about the console and there'll be more. What's there to say about an online service? How much it'll be, what the app looks like, what free VC games you get. A few minutes later, done. I think we should all follow @Ashley's suggestion during the PS4 Pro debacle and wait until facts come out, before moaning.
  14. Sounds about right, apparently things are just getting worse and worse. and then when a Nintendo Direct happens in a couple of weeks outlining everything, all this uproar will conveniently be swept under the rug.
  15. I don't understand the uproar about that comment on the Nintendo site? Where does it say the online service won't be ready for launch?
  16. This is now £48 on Amazon. £46 if you're on Prime. If you'd already pre-ordered you get the new price.
  17. Yeah I'd be amazed if Nintendo don't release a D-pad joy con at some point. Probably didn't want them at launch so as not to confuse the messaging.
  18. I seem to be watching the trailer pretty much every day. I love this shot, especially having spotted Link watching the goings on at Hyrule Castle
  19. I'm just overjoyed they've put the Feather back in. SNES battle mode tracks + feather, yes please.
  20. I think the Switch hardware being so good and the gimmick being so clever bodes well for the future, at least compared to the Wii U. Even if it struggles for sales after the initial few months until Mario arrives, the core concept of the system is appealing. The Wii U got great games over the years but the system itself just wasn't particularly attractive; no one cared about the Gamepad so it didn't sell. If the Switch develops a big library of quality games in the next couple of years then this thing should have legs, sales wise as it's on a much stronger foundation than the Wii U ever had.
