At this point I think they'd be smart to look to a December release, to put some distance from Odyssey next month.

I reckon it'll either be this week or next. I think we've seen last minute eShop releases before.

A Switch version would have likely sold more than the other two platforms, maybe even combined. People are hungry for games to play on their new toy, releasing games for a new platform in its 6-12 months would be smart.

Ultra Street Fighter 2 sold more in its release weekend in the UK (Nintendo's weakest market), than the latest big Marvel v Capcom game on PS4/XBO. Very embarrassing for Capcom, who laughed off porting it to the Switch when asked a while back. Joke's on them.

The shocking lack of Steamworld Dig 2 in this thread makes me think people must be playing it at the moment or have already finished it.

I might save Mario Odyssey for a little later in the year, I like to play Mario games around Christmas time. So there's that + Zelda DLC, and Rayman Legends + will likely pick up LA Noire. eShop wise, there's easily twenty games I'd like to play this year including Steamworld, Cave Story, Sonic Mania, Binding of Isaac, Thimbleweed, Golf Story, Axiom Verge, Rime, Stardew Valley, Hollow Knight, Celeste, Owlboy, the Sexy Brutale etc etc Crazy amount of (great) games on Switch so far.

After this is finished I might do a top 10 games from any publisher on the general gaming board, that could be fun and a bit less heated!

The demo was 720p and from reports Nintendo do their usual upscaling late in the process, the previews during the week all mentioned it has been up-resed to 900p at least, so should look even better

Really hope we see a Pilotwings game on Switch. I loved the SNES and 3DS ones

But aren't the two results tables calculated the same way? How can Mario Kart 8 be above Red/Blue in the second one if it doesn't have more points?

The world 3 boss is fantastic !! Im giving each new hero I pick up a good 5 or 6 chapters each, works well and they all bring something different to table.

Yeah looking good, but how come Mario Kart 8 is above Pokemon Red/Blue in the second list but not the first? Here's by console: Gamecube: 3 SNES: 2 N64: 2 Wii: 1 Gameboy: 1 Switch: 1 (Suspect the Switch would have two if we'd done this list in a couple of months)

The only other Switch game I played was Dandara, which was pretty fun but with so many great games around probably one I'll skip. Played some Metroid and liked it, but again may wait and hope they port it to Switch in a year or two. Made me laugh though, queued for an hour and a half for Mario, literally walked straight up to a Sonic Forces demo and started playing instantly. Non Nintendo game wise, Cuphead was beautiful but a little too unfair/tough and Detroit Become Human was a holy fuck, wow moment. Saturday will probably be much worse! I'd suggest waiting until the very end of the day, queues for everything were much shorter then and I played Mario a second time after a 10 minute wait. Don't wait too long though they close the queues for the bigger games about 30 or so minutes before closing.

There's a fair bit of complaining on places like Reddit and gaf about certain Switch games having ugly home menu icons. Snake Pass started it all when they updated their nice one to the current fugly one. Lego Worlds, Kingdom New Lands and Sonic followed suit, and the latest is Steamworld Dig 2... Thankfully the awesome guys at Image & Form are listening...

Played this today at EGX, as amazing as all the previews are saying. Mario controls like a dream. Got there half an hour after the show opened and the queue was an hour and a half!
