Bluey I've payed hardly any attention to what you've posted above but judging by what you earn you shouldnt be on BR. I found out a couple a years ago that I was on that by mistake. Quick call to the Inland Revenue and it was sorted. I was £1800 richer the week later too.

Man you don't know what you're missing. Coming in where you did, you missed the best years of ER (3-8). The DVDs are going so cheap nowadays, you'd be clinically insane not to pick them up. Don't get me wrong, even in it's later seasons it was still better than half the dross on the box nowadays but it just wasn't the same without the backbones of Greene or Carter. I think season 6 has probably my favourite ever TV storyline that spans the entire season for one of the above characters. As you've mentioned, I liked the way they ended things, showing that hospital life will continue as normal once the cameras stop rolling. It's just sad that it's finished. In my view there's never been a show that can reach the same heights of drama and intensity when those trauma situations arose. *Reaches for kleenex* Jay, as I think I said to you a while back, I did half watch the first episode of Southland and quite enjoyed it. I never fully base my opinion of a show off just one episode but having just bought the complete Wire collection, I can see what you mean by Southland trying to imitate it. Which is no bad thing in my view. I still found it quite hard to take the Rookie officer seriously. He should be in California with the rest of The OC gang! I think i'll wait for the DVD to come out so I can watch it all in one sitting. -

And that's why Spain had always underachieved internationally until recently. They finally realized they had to toughen up. That's one of the reasons why the SPL is one of the toughest leagues to play in, it's a very physical league and and you don't get time on the ball like you do in La Liga. Without time on the ball you can't pull off all your fancy tricks.

Pretty shocked by the match if I am honest. Can't believe the sheer gulf in class between the two teams. Barcelona barely looked out of 2nd gear, they just passed Utd off the pitch. So much was made of the make-shift Barca defence, yet it was barely even tested. My man of the match was definitely Iniesta, he just ran the show, taking on Utd players left, right and centre. I thought the ref had a great game too, kept it running when ever he could and not blowing his whistle every 2 minutes.

Props for what Coyle has done but I'd rather have a higher calibre man in charge. I'd be up for Bilic, always liked him as a player and now as a manager.

I agree, you can't really blame the small clubs for asking over-the-odds prices for their young stars. In someway it's inevitable when they unearth these players they're gonna be off to bigger clubs, so they might as well recoup some of the time and money they've spent on them over the years. This is one of the things that the 'sugardaddy' culture of football, this will only happen more and more. To me there is still nothing better than a club picking up a player for a couple million (or whatever) that you've never heard off and by the end of the season he's a club hero. I'm a Celtic supporter and it's something we've been quite good at over the years. Viduka, Moravcik, Agathe, Boruc, Petrov and of course the legend that is Larsson. Of course it doesn't always work out and you're gonna uncover some duds, Brattback, Zurawski, Rafael Scheidt, etc but it's always worth the risk to uncover that one great player.

Where do you come up with these random thoughts from? Choze's book of bullshit Facts perhaps? When it was first released it wasn't the best, but with the big software update it made a lot better. I've used it for a month after borrowing it from a friend and found it pretty awesome. I have a lot of media stored on my Mac and there's no point in having a hdtv in the room if I'm just gonna use my macbook to watch everything. It's a lot less hassle than burning discs everytime I want to watch something. I don't rent movies, but i'd imagine quite a few people do, thus saving you ever having to go to Blockbuster again.

So I've not watched any of season 4 but I skipped ahead and watched the Final Break and pretty much agree with what Retro said. It was a very fitting ending to what's been an awesome adventure of the 4 years.

Incorrect. Crosas is done nothing but score one decent goal, he drifts through games anonymously. I don't doubt he's a good player, he's just not showed at Celtic. Hinkel is another that has hardly set the world alight. He was awesome at Stuttgart but has not replicated the form so far for us. I'm hopeful that the new manager coming in can get the best out of these players as they could be awesome.

I feel a bit sorry for Gordon. He never had the support of the fans yet his record is second to none. He's been a bit unfortunate in some of his signings being duds, when looking great on paper (Graveson, Donati etc). He never got the financial backing that O'Neil was given yet he progressed further in Europe then anyone else has done. To say there was no competition is bollocks. It didn't change when Jansen, Barnes, Vengloz and O'Neil were all in charge, it's always been the old firm. If anything, the gap between the rest has gotten smaller in the last few years. That said, I never thought Strachan endeared himself to people in the way he handled interviews. So many times he was a dickhead for no reason, always trying to be a smart-arse. That's one of the reasons the fans never got truly behind him.
