I managed to get my circle pad working.. somewhat... I'm scared to try anything too intensive, but at least I can work on getting the character trophies through classic and all-star on lower difficulties. I'll probably still have to get it fixed soon, though - I can't go on like this until the New 3DS release. ...welp, guess I'm not clearing all the challenges in this game either. I should've figured as much, I suppose - the Smash Bros. games are always absolutely awful for completionists like me. ; _ ;

Oh, great. My 3DS XL's circle pad just broke. I thought the reports about Smash Bros. taking a heavy toll on circle pads was just people being excessively forceful while playing, but still decided to be careful just in case... Looks like that didn't help, though. It's all them tilts, probably. I guess my Smashing days are over (for a couple of months, anyways). I was enjoying the 3DS version so much, but I can't keep playing like this... Even if it gets fixed, it'd be risky to continue playing just to have it happen again (and I hadn't even gotten to the challenging parts yet)... EDIT: To clarify, it's gotten stuck and won't move properly. I hope I can get it loose so I can keep playing my other games without having to get it repaired or replaced... Be careful, everyone.

The Norwegian Nintendo website says late November. ...So probably pretty close to the Smash Bros. release, yeah.

That probably wasn't a surprise to anyone ever, yeah. ...I imagine that somewhere, in an alternate universe, people will still be holding on to the hope that Ubisoft will suddenly announce that "we're not gonna release DLC for the Wii U version... because we've already added all the DLC to the game!!!!" But knowing Ubisoft that probably won't happen no matter how many alternate universes you went through. I'm really glad I couldn't care less about this game. :P

Now, now - Bamco are definitely not as bad as many other third parties. They already gave us the Wii U's best third party game - and we even got all the DLC! Also, they're at least releasing a decent number of Wii U games (over half a dozen just this year, I think, though I guess not all of them are too amazing...) Combined with their collaboration efforts, they're definitely one of the Wii U's best third parties, I'd say. Ubisoft, on the other hand... well, let's just say there's a reason I haven't bought a Ubisoft game since 2011.

The eShop says 8 AM GMT... this is gonna be a looong night. (I should probably just go to sleep already.)

Teslagrad is looking mighty fine, yeah. For once I'm not ashamed to be Norwegian! :P (...Though personally, I'm waiting for the retail version coming later this year. Hopefully the wait won't be too long!)

Bergsala announced that this promotion will be making its way to Scandinavia too, so that's good for some of my friends that are looking to finally get a 3DS for some Smash and/or Pokémon awesomeness. It's great that they're working to give us the Club Nintendo exclusive promotions that we otherwise wouldn't be able to participate in... ...is what I would say, but it's kinda outweighed by the fact that we still don't have Club Nintendo over here (I have so many unusable cooodes). I guess they have their reasons and reasonings, though. Oh well...

This is a biiit of a big bump, but I'm pretty sure all the (planned) DLC for the game has now been released (as of a week ago, actually - this is the first week since the DLC releases started that there has been no new DLC, and I think we now have all the DLC that Japan got)! There are 15 DLC packs available for purchase, alongside two free packs. Altogether, there's around 15 new costumes for the Straw Hats and around... 25 new quests. Not 100% sure on the numbers, but they should be pretty close, at least. ...Also, I wanted to brag about finally reaching 100% on Unlimited Cruise SP 2!

In Norway, and I assume the rest of Europe, we have Beedle's Shop music from The Legend of Zelda games (The Wind Waker, Phantom Hourglass, Spirit Tracks and Skyward Sword) playing, because of the Zelda sales. It's a really nice touch.

From what I can remember, some of the Home Menu skins will be free, some will be purchasable and some will be unlocked if you own the related game. Not sure if they ever went into more detail...

Nintendo once again showing the world the right way to do DLC!! Dry Bowser was one of the only characters I missed from previous Mario Kart games (alongside Dry Bones and Bowser Jr.), and now we're getting him PLUS so many other awesome new additions! And the new racing courses! And the vehicles! I'M SO EXCITED! (I was just about to fall asleep when I saw this... HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO FALL ASLEEP NOW?!)

But... I wanted PokéPark 3 or Ranger 4... ; - ; Never been a fan of Tekken-style fighters, so this is a pretty huge disappointment for me. Oh well...

Bamco should still be on the list, surely?

I'm throwing money at my (GamePad) screen but nothing's happening. I really, really, REALLY hope this will be the announcement of a spin-off game for the Wii U - I'm finally 100% done with Pokémon Rumble U after completing my figurine collection, and I need more HD Pokémon in my life! Just give us PokéPark 3 and/or Ranger 4 already... D:

Mega Slowbro is the most hilarious Mega Evolution ever. I haven't been able to stop laughing since I first saw it.

This is actually one of my least favourite parts of the update, because I always - after every single race - watch the highlights reel. Not a big fan of the coin counter either... For a perfectionist like me, that just means I'll have to stop playing at exactly 10k coins (and strive to reach exactly 10k coins, of course...) and never ever be able to go back to the game after that... Hopefully that'll be the only statistic that will have a chance of hindering my enjoyment of the game, because I love playing it. Perfectionism is a curse. (At least the rest of the update sounds great.)

Yeeeesss! We're getting the scarf! I knew NoE wouldn't let me down! ; w ; (Still waiting on Groose to appear as a secret playable character though... That's all this game is lacking to achieve GOTY status in my book.)

Here's another retail game to add to the list, at least: Disney Magical World (3DS) confirmed for European release on October 24th!

What a coincidence - I just fully 100%'d the game last week. You must have JavaScript enabled on your device to view Miiverse posts that have been embedded in a website. View post in Miiverse That StreetPass crown... Diabolical! But yeah, great game, so I'd definitely recommend it to anyone interested now that it's going on sale. Even if it is incredibly infuriating at times...

The (free!) Red Stands Alone DLC quest is now up on the Wii U eShop. I assume it's up for the 3DS version, too. I still haven't started playing this game (beyond the first save point), actually, because I'm working on finally 100%-ing One Piece: Unlimited Cruise SP 2! The release of Unlimited World Red finally gave me the motivation I needed to get through the last bit of grinding. Almost there...!

what ... WHAT?! O _ O Okay, this is the kind of news I like waking up to. (I kid you not, I thought I was still dreaming at first.)

The game's second mode is inspired by events that occur in the Dressrosa arc, and features characters introduced in that arc. So although it doesn't follow the story of the arc, there will still be quite a few spoilers. Catching up seems like the smartest thing to do, yeah. That said, I don't think there are any Dressrosa spoilers in the main story mode (because the 3DS version of the game was released in Japan last year - definitely tons of Punk Hazard spoilers, though), so I guess you could just hold off on playing the second mode until you've caught up with the Dressrosa arc.

My Wii U copy just arrived in the post! Don't have time to play before the evening, but that's fiiiine. Everything is good now that it's here!
