  1. Or it makes sense because Game Freak and Nintendo have access to metrics that we lack. I still question the idea of "potential" being left. Nothing proposed here can only be done on home consoles, especially since your comparison, Xenoblade Chronicles, is on the 3DS
  2. That'd have required people to buy the Wii U in order to sell it to CEX
  3. Soft reset when you receive the gift
  4. Been wanting a slow Yveltal to use in my Nationals team, so was soft resetting my Shiny Yveltal. Got this one #717 Yveltal [serious] IVs: 31 / 31 / 31 / 29 / 31 / 31 Kept it, because man that spread. Jumped over to Y to soft reset my other shiny Yveltal #717 Yveltal [Modest] IVs: 31 / 1 / 31 / 31 / 31 / 30 I don't know if I can soft reset something so beautiful, but I'm out of soft resettable Yveltal now... my game is currently suspended while I make the decision.
  5. It's mostly in Japan, since that's where Splatoon is huge, but there are many competitions, all streamed on NicoNico. Pokkén has similar. Many arcade competitions, but shifting to Wii U. In the UK, NUK has been pushing it at a variety of events. Most recently at HypeSpotting in Scotland. In the US, it's at Evo, CEO and various others. Basically this year, if Smash is at an event, so is Pokkén.
  6. Nintendo have actually been pushing eSports like crazy lately with Smash Bros., Splatoon and now Pokkén Tournament. The Smash Invitational was just the beginning. Don't forget was also had the Nintendo World Championships last year. The Pokémon Company, separate from Nintendo, has also been doing eSports with Pokémon for years. They have shown a massive commitment to eSports and that's likely to continue through since they have seen how much love it is getting. Whether it'll be built in? I don't know. Probably not
  7. To be fair, the question was "Will you buy it?". Of course the answer to that is Yes for me :p
  8. So? What does it being in Hylian rather than English have to do with that?
  9. I'd prefer voice acting if it was all in Hylian, so if there was bad actors, we wouldn't really know it :p
  10. Some rumours have cropped up from Emily Rogers and various others
  11. I too support @Cube's suggestion of Colt Express. That game is ridiculously fun.
  12. Those Pokémon pixel badges are live in Europe
  13. Really want to go to your McDonalds if their Happy Meal Toys are the quality of amiibo :p
  14. Nope. Hoopa Unbound is not in X & Y. It's an ORAS exclusive form
  15. Wii U The Wii U is the latest console from Nintendo but nobody really knows about it which is part of why it hasn't sold. It's got a great library of games and just oozes fun :p Sorry, I couldn't resist. KillJoys Here's something I've been watching lately and really liked. It's a show on SyFy called Killjoys. Essentially about Bounty Hunters in a solar system in the future. It's great sci-fi fun.
  16. Then I have no issue with it. We've had Action Adventures where you go around and interact with Pokémon in the field before. However, if it's a main game like some here are wanting (such as those who tell me I'm resistant to the series evolving), then no that shouldn't be done.
  17. How is it progression of the games, though? That's the thing I have been arguing because it's not. Those aren't main games. If they did a spin-off like that, then yes I'd be all for it, but that's not what people are asking for here. I'm not against it evolving. I'm against its fundamentals being shifted away from what the series is. The idea that the only way it can evolve is by going home console is ridiculous, when that isn't an evolution of what the series is. It's regression You guys dismiss the portable aspect of the game, but it's key. Removal of it is a major thing and would have to be severely augmented with amazing stuff, not "oh look, there's a Pokémon in the overworld and graphics are pretty".
  18. I'm not saying it can't be done. I'm saying it shouldn't be done. Why would it being on home console rather than portable be "moving forward"? That's quite dismissive of games on portable devices. And no, hacks get through the current Pokémon cloud service as is. Stadium wasn't a main game. This would be. Game Freak are very protective of the main games and are the only ones who develop them (they consider Colosseum and XD spin-off games)
  19. It's not that simple, and it's irrational to assume so. People are limited by location, cost of hiring a place, signal coverage etc.
  20. Not every one does. In November, I went to the London Regionals and I commentated it. However, the Internet there was shocking (our stream kept cutting out) and since there were so many people in such a confined space, phone signal was spotty at best. And this was in London of all places
  21. Then if you only have the home console one, how can you attend events if there's no way to connect to the cloud at the event/
  22. I was talking Colosseum and XD. Home console story based games. And "literally" the whole gaming community is quite an erroneous exaggeration.
  23. That's just the Play Pokémon events. People take their 3DSs with them. A friend of mine was playing on a train in Switzerland, saw someone else, and battled right then and there. There are countless instances when that happens. What if there's no/bad internet/signal? What would the course of action be there? And yes, yes it would :p
  24. You were comparing it to real life. That's what made it illogical. It's just all these suggestions, they are aesthetic. They don't add anything to the actual core that is Pokémon in a way that would warrant the removal. Would they be cool? Sure. Is it worth dropping the portability? No.
