I'm not assuming that at all, what I'm saying is that saying otherwise, that it has to be inaccurate, outright is narrow-minded. If a theory is updated, then the original theory was inaccurate, hence the update. That is classed as being proven wrong. Wrong = Inaccurate. Just because it gets updated with more observations which originally contradict or disprove something does not mean that it was right all along. Our science is primarily based upon observation. We once thought that atoms were the smallest particle possible, but we then split that open and saw otherwise. It is in a constant state of flux. My problem is with people thinking it is absolute, when it clearly isn't. So many are treating science like a religion. If something appears that may counter what they believed, they dismiss it outright. I'm not saying we shouldn't hold some level of caution with this, as it could be an error, but they have tested for errors repeatedly and found none, so they published to get other scientists to double check because it is such a profound discovery if accurate.

It's the scientists themselves who posted it online, not the media. They thought it was human error, it wasn't. They thought it was computer error, it wasn't. They are baffled at it. While there may be an error, are you really going to be narrowminded and claim it's impossible just because one intelligent person came up with a theory that it contradicts? This is what I don't like, people taking these theories as pure fact, they're not. Our science is routinely proven wrong, this is just possibly a big part being proven wrong.

New profile doesn't go live until next friday unless you're signed up as a developer

So, I got access to the new profile earlier today, and it's actually amazing. It lets you see so much and you can even post details about things like breaking a bone, buying a car, moving house, through systems other than status updates Pretty creepy and awesome at the same time

I know. I'm just so used to dealing with people who think of our science as an absolute. As a constant, that what we know now is complete and utter fact. It's almost as if they treat it as a religion :/ That said, so much of our current scientific theory and "laws" are based on Einstein's theory of relativity, and this kind of destroys that... Good man, you legend! As am I. I've got lead lined gloves and various hazmat gear and a few radiation detectors so I'll be fine.

Perhaps, but this has completely eradicated the whole basis of the scientific theory for the last 90 years. Quantum mechanics is pretty much out the window. We need to rethink things

I run a business. I have studied business. Just because I can see the longterm doesn't mean I have my "ass in Nintendo's ass". Your post was just like the investors posts, demanding gratification in the short term, not within the longterm. I'm not saying this situation is ideal, what my post was indicating was the error on all the articles saying that sales of the 3DS dropped considerably after the price drop.

Sales are sales. Doesn't matter if they're making a loss in the long run. Before too long at all, the cost of the components within the 3DS will drop and it'll become profitable. In addition to that, as Nintendo is also a video game creator and publisher and as such, the 3DS selling well is brilliant as it means the software they release is more likely to sell, plus they get money from the third parties making games. Stop trying to be negative. Yes, in the short term, this is a loss...however the factor is longterm. This is why you don't run a business
