  1. £40 would be expensive for a HD port, but this is a remake so it's more understandable
  2. Got mine too yesterday. Been down the Pokémon Adventure Tour at the Bournemouth Air Festival the last few days. Met some cool people and battled a few good trainers Great times. Can't wait for XY
  3. Well it's not like we'll see his face. Unless you're familiar with his voice, you wouldn't notice or care :p
  4. It didn't "bomb hard". It didn't do brilliantly, but it's not like it sold 4 units. Come on, ease up on the hyperbole
  5. The design is growing on me a bit, and the white one looks really nice
  6. I think this, and Wii Fit, will be among the games that don't get eShop versions
  7. If it doesn't do CoD numbers, it's a "bomba" according to the Internet
  8. Todays picture
  9. It'd be possible, sure. However, it'd require a significant rewrite of the OS, akin to the one MS did for the 360 as this feature didn't exist on that until like 2010
  10. Well the Dark World was the Golden Land before it changed
  11. Took me forever to find this thread October 25th Comes with the Wiimote, the game and possibly that GamePad stand, but I can't quite zoom in far enough. The box looks like it includes stuff in addition to the game, controller, jacket and AA batteries Anyone getting it? I'm tempted because it'll be a cheap way to get a new Wiimote Plus, which are like £50 in GAME.
  12. A picture of the bundle
  13. Purchaseable on the eShop now btw
  14. Few new passwords for you guys 13307436 - Charizard 55188682 - Hydreigon 46585756 - Shiny Garchomp 23740396 - Serperior 86228367 - Chandelure
  15. Having two screens is a little less jarring to the mind than having essentially two displays on one screen
  16. So basically "Sony's taking a loss, so why can't Nintendo?"?
  17. That's in line with what I said, yes. That is a good bundle, though, great way to save money. However, they are taking a loss with that. The standard price for a 3DS XL is £170. Just because you managed to get it cheap does not mean everywhere is selling it that way. As such, there are bound to be places that charge less for the 2DS, too. Also, Nintendo aren't like the others. THey believe once you pay for a console and a game, you shouldn't have to pay more to enjoy it. They have specifically stated this in various interviews. They don't want a subscription service, or ridiculous DLC that is necessary for a game. It's amazing how people look down on them for not screwing the consumer. And yes, specs determine value. However, you questioned it in regards to the Wii U and then proclaimed that the Vita should be destroying the 3DS due to price and "better specs". I hate logic like this so much.
  18. £110 is about right. Vita is like £160 for WiFi, and £180 for 3G...not £130 as you put, so I don't know where you are getting this from. That's without a game or memory card, too. So out the gate you're already losing a lot of money Sony took a huge loss with the PS3, and it drained their finances. Anything they made with the PS1 and PS2 got depleted. Why you would want Nintendo to do this with their systems, I have no idea. Them actually earning money is beneficial as it means they can actually survive as a company. It's absolutely ridiculous that people come up with their own arbitrary view of what a console is worth, rather than what it is actually worth, and then insist that their view is the case. Also, specs don't sell a system, games do. This is always the pattern. People always insist the best selling one will be the most powerful, and it never is. So it doesn't matter that the Vita "slaps the system into submission in terms of specs". Seriously, who the hell cares?
  19. Really though, the three pillar thing was just PR bull in case the DS failed. They don't need two handhelds running concurrently. That would be ridiculous You know that even though they don't, they suggest the same price to all. How on earth is it untrue? Wii U was being sold at a loss ergo it's not being overcharged. With the 3DS units, the profit margin is relatively slim. The idea of a business is to make profit on a product, not to lose money on it just so people can buy it
  20. Overcharging? I assume you mean the Wii U was overcharged when it was at launch, despite the fact it was being sold at a loss? Ever consider that these things are priced in accordance to what they are worth? Other than the original price inflation of the 3DS, Nintendo is very conservative with these things
  21. Platinum are among the best developers in the industry. For them to be buddy-ish with Nintendo would be fantastic.
  22. It'd have a similar but not as strong effect. People like to deride it but the Wii's userbase really helped open people's eyes to certain franchises more. It made Mario Kart and Mario household names again so there will definitely be a push.
  23. That's exactly why. They were hoping DK would lead the thanksgiving push, but realistically, Mario would. In an ideal world, they'd have Mario Kart 8 on the December 6th day and it'd be just like the 3DS. That combo pushed the console up 11m sales in just 4 months. With the Wii U, it'd not have been as high, but just half that would be a success.
  24. It's good fun But I paid £50 for it on the eShop
  25. Na, we're a long way off.
