  1. Oh, it went live? Sweet :)

  2. Oh believe me, it'd come up (especially considering how my friends introduce me) and I'd roll with it, it's just getting to that point is the issue.
  3. Thing is @jayseven, I am very comfortable with myself, but not with other people at all. I can't talk to people I don't know...I can barely talk to people I know. It's really an issue. I've tried forcing myself in situations which I'm not comfortable with, but it doesn't always work. It's not really guilt or shame :/ Also, it is the top site. Most popular, most up to date (seriously, the other top site is ridiculously behind with X & Y stuff, and they're user edited while I am one man), most beloved. Who cares about layout? :p It is nice to hear that some people do seem attracted to me, because I never see it. I don't se anyone interested in me and that's further cemented by the lack of responses. Alas.
  4. Do you count Super Mario Bros. and Super Mario World for the NES/SNES? Wii Sports wasn't packaged in Japan. It also wasn't packaged with EVERY console in the west.
  5. That's the thing. I've been going for years. My friends don't go out often anymore. Half of my close friends are now engaged, one has a kid. As such, any meetups are round someone's place, so minimal chance of meeting people there. I work at home which is awesome for flexibility, but horrible for meeting people. Dating sites were necessary, but they just don't work for me for some reason. I just need to give up and focus on building robots to take over the planet. I'm closer to 30 than 25 now and it's getting a bit ridiculous :/
  6. Of course not. Damage is done :/
  7. [uPDATE 2, 2:58PM:] Good news, everyone! GameStop Italy and our U.S.-based source have both said that this was all a glitch in the system and that Watch Dogs is—or will soon be—available for pre-order for Wii U again in Italy and the U.S. Apologies for making everyone nervous about this and for not getting that all sorted prior to publishing the first time. http://kotaku.com/gamestop-is-canceling-watch-dogs-wii-u-pre-orders-this-1508273787 There we have it
  8. Has anyone actually had their pre-order cancelled in the US?
  9. And still I get next to no responses. When I do miraculously get a response, I respond as you would when having a conversation and get no response. I give up.
  10. New(?) trailer
  11. Hell, they seem to be upping their game a bit. Look at Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze with the online replays etc. and even Mario Kart 8 has Mario Kart TV in it
  12. I read somewhere that Nintendo is not a company that fires people often. If they want rid of you, they'll just shift you to somewhere where you'll be miserable and wait for you to quit. Don't know how true it is, but yeah.
  13. The retailer that cancelled the pre-orders and removed listings has now added it back
  14. I liked the idea of being able to manipulate the entire electronics of a city to my whim.
  15. It's the sort of game that screams out GamePad integration too, for unique ways of play. They've even done GamePad stuff for the companion app. Such a shame
  16. I was starting to lose interest in this game, but it will be an absolute shame if it gets canned :/
  17. A bit niche? The PSP sold the same as the PS3. If the PSP is niche, so is the PS3
  18. Don't fret. Once he's settled into the role, he's awesome The tonal shift takes a little while to get used to, too. That season took a bit for me to enjoy it...sort of fell into it at Episode 10...that's what convinced me
  19. I do, yes.
  20. Was just making an observation There is nothing untrue in that statement.
  21. I completely agree that they shouldn't remove it. However, the issue is that the GamePad is something that most people just don't get until they get their hands on it. Anecdotal but many of my friends were sceptical about it, despite previously being Nintendo fans, and had no intention of getting the Wii U because of it. Then they tried it out for an hour and went out & bought a Wii U I myself struggle to play games without it, even for just a map and inventory. However, the first issue is a big issue. People just don't get it, so they don't see the value of it. Off TV play was the original intent of the Wii U, and it's great if you only have one/two TVs and you live with your significant other. Maps/Inventory are great, but as people will say, you can just press a button to load them (and take several seconds). People just don't see the point of it, and that's the issue that is putting a lot of people off, especially as it is such a focal point of the console. As such, separating it from the main SKU and selling separately as a peripheral to IMPROVE the games is the only way Nintendo can attempt to get a bigger market with a lower cost console. If they just lopped $100 off the price now, and it took off, it'd do far more damage than the Wii U selling poor-to-moderate amounts (although still higher than the Vita...you don't see people seriously telling Sony to go third party/mobile)
  22. http://techland.time.com/2014/01/23/nintendo-like-apple-needs-to-control-the-experience-from-nuts-to-bolts-to-keep-being-nintendo/ Another positive article. Glad to see not everyone is calling doom
  23. If they make a GamePad-less SKU, they need to start selling the GamePad separately. Basically do what I suggested last week when the news hit They can't just drop the GamePad, but sidelining it and offering an alternative is not an option they should ignore. They should continue to push it.
  24. Which is where I think Iwata's business structure change comes in. He mentioned not going smartphone. He implied not going third party, but he explicitly brought up the pricing model as an issue. That's what is going to change.
  25. Because, as @flameboy said, if they replace him with someone from within, then nothing will change, so they would likely go with someone else to stir the pot and make things actually go well. It's not as simple as a CEO not being able to do things without board approval. Things aren't as cut & dry as that. Hell, again, look at Square Enix for evidence of this. The new CEO could easily scrap Iwata's strategy and go with his own.
