Nah there are loads of cool pubs and stuff in Manc, they're all just tucked out of the way, you need a local to show you around. I only started discovering some of my favourite spots there in my third year at uni. Oh and Stevkov, yeah, some of the coolest people on this planet hang around outside the Urbis getting in everybody's way...

House Season 6 Episode 6 Alright, but I was hoping for a better episode due to the 2 week break. Fringe Season 2 Episode 6 Shit! I was hoping for a better episode due to the 2 week break. Curb Season 7 Episode 8 Okay, typical Curb. Episodes like this that stick to the formula too much are wearing a little thin. Dexter Season 4 Episode 7 Below par for the season but still awesome. Best season of Dexter yet. Next ep looks AWESOME. Heroes Season 4 Episode 8 or 9 "Shadowboxing" Only watched the first ten mins but already looking awesome. Heroes has really improved this season. Dudedazz, I wasn't trying to be a dick to your personally. I know it sucks for you as you should legitimately be able to buy it and I'm sorry, at least you got it in the end though. I just think that overall, it's a good thing that they were being more strict. The 25 thing is the case at a lot of places nowadays. It is telling that a lot of people there didn't think they'd need ID. Confirms what I said about public/retail perception about games. I just think it's a good thing overall that they're cracking down on it.

Err just for the luls. This seems like a good idea now but I'm drunk so... it would. Basically, PM me if you wanna participate, include your gender preference and I'll choose one knee-er to be the main person. They have to ask 3 questions, one at a time to the three people I choose in secret who PM their witty and innuendo laden answers which I post. Then the main person chooses one person, all is revealed and the main person and the winner engage in sexual activity live on webcam for us all. Probably not that last bit. This embarrassing idea for a thread will come back to haunt me. I'm going for another beer.

Been trying not to buy MW2 all day. As I have only 30 quid to last a week and a half and hardly any petrol in the tank, I thought I'd better not Got a meeting with some job agency on Friday, the first positive thing to come from 6 weeks on the dole. Sounds like I should get SOME work even if it's temping. Confused as fuck as the girl I went on a sort-of-not-really date with mentioned that it was only last week that we met. And it is, to the day. Feels like at least 3 weeks. My perception of time is truly fucked. That's really confused the hell out of me, doing not much all day is definitely dragging. i'm probably just getting antsy as I've not had much indication of how keen she is to meet up again. Every time I've not heard from her in a while and think not, she suddenly wants attention again. Crazy thing is, I'm not even that into her so no idea why I'm getting bothered about it. I wanna move somewhere new. Possibly Exeter, mebbi London. I just want a change. Sick of Cornwall!

I'm disappointed. Bought that hat from the hmv point store thing but the shipping address on it is an old address of mine. As SOON as I noticed I emailed the fuck out of them. That was a week ago. Still no reply. As my old address is halls, chances of me getting my hat back = zero

To be fair, not really that ridiculous at all. Kids are looking increasingly older than their age these days, especially the females. You should have brought your id or just got it the next day.

I am loving the level of outrage over this that's radiating from facebook friends. Completely ridiculous. Just got invited (and obviously declined) to a BOYCOTT THE XFACTOR group. People seem angered that Simon voted to keep Jedward in or something, claiming Mr Cowell and the show have now "SOLD OUT TO THE RATINGS"... Well duh. It's a fucking prime time TELEVISION SHOW. It's always been about the ratings! The only reason Jedward are in the competition is because they're shit (but seemingly nice enough people) and being British we love laughing at the freaks. MANY people tune out from X-factor as soon as the freak show auditions are over so this year they decided to keep two of the freaks in to try and tie down those of us that like lol-ing at them. (Oh, and it's definitely AT them, not WITH, whatever you tell yourself.) Also, the whole bickering between the judges, especially Simon and Louis over the whole thing is so pantomime and staged it's hilarious, can't see how more people don't see through it?! Kinda depresses me though that the people that get so wound up about shit like this are usually the ones who don't give a rat's ass about things that... y'know... actually matter. If only that anger could be redirected!

Yup quite enjoyed the latest ep too... Not sure what it means for the flashforwards though. Are they potentially pointless or just a shadow of what could be without drastic change? I also learnt something new this week. JOHN CHO IS CALLED DIMITRI! So that's Mark and Dimitri that I know now. Brilliant.

Happenstance, I feel for you, the Job Centre are total shite. I had to go to a Back to Work meeting recently. Basically all I got from it was "look in the newspaper and the internet to find a job!" Also the chap, who hadn't used facebook before, said it was a good idea to "update your status thing or something to 'looking for a job' because people get jobs that way!" I can just imagine some of the replies I'd get if I put that as my status...

The last mission is awesome! Rockstar are probably the first company to really do episodic DLC type gaming justice. These shorter, more focused snippets of GTA action have really reinvigorated the series for me after the fairly bland GTAIV. The crossovers have been so much fun to spot. Love seeing Roman and Brucie hanging out at the clubs for example, really made the whole city feel that much more alive and real.
