I just love Shantae, she's so beautiful :3 And I agree with the strange change of visual direction you posted about. Maybe it's because she is a 1/2 genie in that game...

A little bit lackluster. The games are surely looking fun though, but it just missed that big BOOM moment. Like a high-end F-Zero or Metroid or new Franchise.

I've also brought this up from time to time. After having playing Metroid Fusion and experiencing the survival-horrorish elements in it, I could see how lonesome and scary space exploration would fit the Metroid Franchise. I'm still game for a Samus X Captain Falcon bounty hunter game though. A game that could span many genres.

I think we'll see Metroid again with another unexpected partnership or perhaps Namco Bandai is involved. Come to think of it, is Sakurai still working on Smash DLC and all that or does he have something else going too? My absolute wet dream for Metroid would be NINTENDO partnering up with VanillaWare and bring us a Metroid in a gorgeous art-style.

Oh how Smash has fallen. Actually, I was surprised when I joined this forum that not everybody loves Smash Brothers. It was one of the first times when I stopped to think that it might not be for everyone despite it's celebration of everything NINTENDO and more. Voted for Pikmin 3 Haven't played it yet, it's on my shelf, but trust me on this one.

I wouldn't want Miyamoto anywhere near F-Zero what with the way he butchered Paper Mario. I can see it now: "Hey, remember all the vibrant characters and their backstories in F-Zero GX ... They're all gone! Fred not though my fellow gamers, you have the option of customizing the 4 remaining racers with Helmets and their vehicles with bumperstickers." Having seen Platinum Games's style of games, I'd always figured that if they were to ever make a racing game there'd be no better choice than F-Zero. Crazy Speed, Crazy Neon Worlds, Crazy Characters.

It is true that one can play through this entire game in co-op right? The Wii version has been waiting a long time for me and a friend to have a crack at it once we finish Paper Mario and The Thousand Year Door.

This is what makes that series so great. Next Level Games has given less notable characters such as Waluigi and Daisy, but also the side characters Koopa Troopa, Shy Guy, Boo, Monty Mole etc.. lots of personality I also enjoy the overall gritty yet cartoonish artstyle: Man, I played the fuck out of this game back in the day, because it was the first game I was able to play online with my Wii. I could do with a new one, but then again, I could also do with a new F-Zero or Advance Wars. I really hope Next Level Games bring us another project out of left field like Punch-Out!! Wii.
