Excellent news.

Unfortunately, i'm able to grab a screen grab for those outside the UK, but if your able to receive BBC Four, check out Charlie Brookers' Screenwipe (variable times throughout the week). Not only is it a hillarious take on the trash on our TV screens, but Charlie now has Wii Remote and Nunchuk controller on the table during his trademark rants on the sofa.

Some websites are advertsing Batallion Wars 2 and even Metroid Prime: Corruption in march.
-
The reason that people are underwhelmed by certain titles is that they still think the Wii will suddenly grown a High Defination Beard and put on a pair of Blu-ray socks.. Get over it. Its not gonna happen.
-
Batallion Wars 2, is BWii.
-
I think Mario Kart is a given to be online. I seem to recall Matt over at IGN hinting that third parties are now working on online games.
-
Its all gone rather strange here. I thought, judging by the title of this thread, we were discussing Konami's confimred Wii games and speculating if any more are to be announced. We all have differences in opinions, just part of human nature, but can't we all live and play nicely together?

I wouldve been really interested in this. however, since my Wii is a tight squeeze in the AV unit, and cable lengths are at critical, i'd have to rearrange the whole room. Wireless dancemats please!

So, more are expected according to the news. They're not specific on which platforms, but there's certainly alot of Wii love about the place

Dewy's adventure does look nice. I wouldnt say it looks leagues ahead of current Wii software though, but certainly looks an improvement. I'm not surprised that we've only seen one game. Let each game have its time in the limelight.

Actually in answer to my previous question: here's a comparison of Sonic in PAL and NTSC. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b0llsb77Esc -
Favourite Mario Kart game?
david.dakota replied to THE ganondorflol's topic in General Gaming Discussion
I always regarded the original Mario Kart as my favourite. It did something new, was constantly interesting, with creative courses and loads of detail. Sure, as we've progressed the games have been refined with Mario Kart DS being the pinacle of the Mario Kart series. -
There are loads of titles coming up: Mario Galaxy, Batallion Wars 2, Metroid Prime 3, Sonic, Eledees (AKA Elebits)just for starters. If your looking at more simple games, check out Wario Ware (also uses Mii avatars), ExciteTruck, Wii Music (no date as yet), Big Brain Academy, Mario Party 8.

I think Marvelous are well aware that they need to remain profitable, and thats why theyre concentrating on Wii and DS. I recall some head of a development studio stating that with HD gaming they need to reach sales figures of 500,000 to just break even - thats a big risk for any company. Although critisised for being SD hardware, Wii does not come with such a high risk and therefore it becomes quicker and easier to hit profitability.

Telltale seeking for Wii programmer to port PC games
david.dakota replied to Teppo Holmqvist's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Does it matter if they're ports of PC games. I'm sure they'd be updated with Wii specific controls - and with the Wii being far more approachable for gaming and aimed at a wider audience (for gaming), PC ports could be a success if done well. -
I have two - one that came with the Wii and another with Wii play. neither works.

I'm getting really naffed with this issue. Its happened yet again. I've tried everything, and its still not working. This is the first Nintendo system which i've ever had problems with, but its so fundemental.

Finally! Gameplay have dropped their Wii Prices!
david.dakota replied to david.dakota's topic in Nintendo Gaming
I got both a free game and £10.00 voucher. Yippee! Anyways, I like Gameplay (sure, i think they're now part of GAME). Either way, they're not Tesco, are they. -
With almost two months past since the Wii's launch, Gameplay have finally, dropped their prices for Wii software. Not entirely unexpected, since most other retailers including Amazon and Play have been selling at discounted prices since launch, but its good to see they've finally caught up. Its also worth mentioning that when ordering multiple titles in one transaction, you can opt for £4.99 Express Delivery and you're only charged this £4.99 once, no matter how many titles you order. A quirk of their system, which may or may not have been fixed since my last order. Edit by Moria - In case anyone can't be bothered checking, the prices have gone down from £39.99 to £34.99.

Virtual Console - All you need to know
david.dakota replied to Tellyn's topic in General Gaming Discussion
I was reading teletext yesterday, and they gave a link to a video on youtube. I'm guessiung it was a comparison of NTSC games currently available on Virtual Console, as this was the detail of the letter they were responding to. The address given gives a 'malformed video id' response from youtube. Anyone know of this video, or anything similar? -
Its no big loss for me (since I was never going to purchase this anyway), but its worrying that the development team were unable include online options due to the online components 'not being ready'...

Virtual Console - All you need to know
david.dakota replied to Tellyn's topic in General Gaming Discussion
We were once promised that games which were not released, could, possibly, maybe be released on Virtual Console - SNES Star Fox 2 was an example. In practice, its not working out that way. -
Virtual Console - All you need to know

VC Cards are £14.99 for two thousand points. One thousand points are therefore half the cost, ie £7.945 - rounded up to one penny. That said, they are cheaper to buy direct from the VC shop, so we are both correct.
