  1. It's best that you leave the default Admin account, as disabled.
  2. Don't know, but you still start off in the Administrator group.
  3. What Windows have you got? Total control of what you can do (Administrator wise), is a bit limited on Home premium versions. You need to create a new account and give that account Administrator status. Login to the new Administrator account and change your normal account to a standard user. And whatever you do, don't hide or lock the new Administrator account. It's also a good idea to rename your default Administrator account.
  4. I think it's because, it would get a bit confusing for the average user.
  5. Here's the solution to that problem:
  6. OK, just one more question, it doesn't take up many resourses does it?

  7. I can actually get a discount on that kaspersky(sp) internet security.

Is it worth getting and does it work OK with Windows 7?

  8. I'm currently using Avira (free edition), but have no firewall software. Do you know a good (free) Firewall I could use?
  9. Well, on my username, I use Firefox. I'm scared of virus's through Internet Exporer though. If I set my Mom's user name to a power user, would that eliminate the possibility of virus scripts being run through IE?
  10. I wish my mom would stop using Internet Exlorer. Makes my life difficult.
  11. Ok! SO it doesn't matter if I set my user to admin, permanantly(can't spell, whatever)?
  12. Well I've finally got Windows 7 installed. Is it a good idea to change the user name of the Admin acount and change my user to a normal user? Or does that not matter anymore? Fuck Norton.
  13. Probably a stupid question, but have you downloaded the latest drivers for your Nvidia graphics card? That's all I've got.
  14. Well I looked on Ebuyer and it was more expensive. http://www.ebuyer.com/product/149430 Edit: I know why. The HDD' you showed me are 3.5", I need 2.5 (for my laptop).
  15. LOL! Pretty much all off my mates have an Xbox and are relectant to get a PS3. There must be some way to persuade them to buy a PS3!
  16. I only have room or one HDD.
  17. Ok, but I don't need to have my old HDD to start off, I just boot from the disc and install it to the the HDD?
  18. I mentioned earlier, that I've ordered a new internal HDD and Windows 7'update version'. What I want to do is install Windows 7 to the new HDD, but because it's the update version, does that mean I need to install Windows Vista first?
  19. I actually go to Dudley College. It's a decent college, in my opinion, but the townsfolk are a bunch of fucking morons. To be fair, everyone (including the audiance), pissed me off! The host (the old guy in the middle), needed to be punched in the face.
  20. I've ordered Windows 7 Ultimate and got myself this new HDD.
  21. Did you try looking on Google first, for information? Sorry, can't help.
  22. I wonder if there will be some good deals on SSD, in the Xmas sales?
  23. Cool, I was searching though some private messages on a site I used to visit and I noticed I had an n-gamer email address. I couldn't remember why I had the address though, I had a look on the website via wayback machine and as I was checking out the staff on there I noticed your name. Small world. What happened to that site btw? To keep this on topic: Man SSD drives are expensive!
  24. But then wouldn't that cause problems with program files, because it would no longer be on the C:\ drive? or would you keep program files and games etc... on there too? I didn't think you could install 2 internal drives?
