Yeah, Brawl had a lot of cool secret stuff like that, no matter how minor. Like I only just noticed the hold down B to exit character screen a few days back, which made its appearance on the site today. That's actually quite a useful tool, seeing as you spend a lot of time choosing etc. One of the best tracks in this game is the sunshine one, everytime I play the stage everyone starts humming the theme.

Yeah, I saw one of the many channel 4 top 50/100 programmes, in tge cartoon one that clip was in it. Like it when there is subtle adult humour in things like this and games, which kids would not notice or would find funny for other reasons. Mutley's laugh is classic.

Well its because it isn't 'like a glove' freedom. If it doesn't flow naturally don't put in in. If those moments in MP3 moved freely it would be fine, but you have to be measures and forceful instead of using one quick motion. Doesn't usually detract from games that much.

And then a lightning bolt fumbles that lifeline shroomy and another blue shell is fired for a bit of overkill. The smell of victory being wiped away from a person which had little influence on the outcome otherwise. Thing is you never get shrooms in first.

Yeah, those stages just aren't fun, but can be good for some types of Brawl. Temple is much better than New Pork City it has to be said.

You know as I wrote that I thought 'instant respect points -100' but after thinking about it I seriously had more fun with Sunshine. Galaxy, while the initial impressions were amazing, it was a short-lived romp through the park.

Thing is, it is very weird thinking that he is actually dead. We won't see any more of him and he is virtually wiped from existance this point on. Its like I just had an epiphany! But seriously it's a saddening thought of him just loosing hope after the shattering death of his fiance. The happy, cheery guy who made us laugh on kids T.V has suddenly felt the need to put himself out of misery.

Challenge is fun though. And yes every game can be improved but certain games you sort of sense that it has missed a trick. Metroid Prime 1, I didn't feel disappointed at all with, it struck most chords and even the minor things that could've been adjusted didn't bother me. Crash Bash, massively flawed, didnt have the 'but they could of done' factor. Sunshine set out and achieved what it was aiming to do even if at the outset it didnt look like it would succeed. Galaxy I felt it could have been much better and taken the elements further to make the experience a lot deeper, instead it was just a slight change. Love the addition of spin attack too, a helping jump at times yet not too powerful. (I still like F.L.U.D.D) Ok these are quite random selections, and Crash Bash isnt better than Galaxy, but Im just trying to clarify my point. (probably confused though)

Well I wouldn't knock Ronaldo's freekicks too much, because he can hit long range ones that a little Hargreaves curl wouldn't manage. That said Hargreaves could probably strike the ball hard if he wanted.

^That being correct, I don't think it spoiled it. But harsh refs annoy me. Some just abuse authority and love halting play and it's quite irritating. Hargreaves free kick was quite special eh?

Yeah, and also use the Long jump for the gap-sections and you can control the length of it by using control stick, there's a lot of coins and you get a decent amount of time on each square, so finding a place to recover is quite easy if you feel like you're stuck. The most difficult star for me was the one where you have to point and click the bubble things in the Boo stage to collect the purple coins. Took me quite a few goes, and yet I did it first time with Luigi.
