Well from what I've played the maps have been varied. There's a courtyard map similar to one in Rainbow Six Vegas, which has tight close range combat and then one big room. There's another map that takes place pretty much all outside bar a couple of rooms either side of a road. Sniper country I think. Finally there is my favourite level that has multiple heights and variety. Graphically it is stunning, and there's combat is situated at the bases of the map, occassionly firefights on a walkway between the two. There aren't really any moving parts of vehicles, but there's ladders, a few explosive barrels and unmanned machine guns. The weapons have a great weight to them and when you get off a good shot it is immensely satisfying. (You need a Dual Shock 3 if you buy this).

After a break playing through this I did a bit more stuff today, now at level 18and I have basically got insanely high skills for big guns and small guns. (The Fat Man now does 1180 damage or something ridiculous. My friend bought oblivion the other day so once he's done with that I may have to try it. Yet my speech and sneak skills are still in the 20s.

Sounds like cool stuff. I've never played a God of War game before so it should be fresh.

Yeah I was like that, when I switched from PS2 to Gamecube I went anti-playstation/xbox because it was great, but then now I have found my home again with PS3. I was kidding myself that the Wii and the DS were great, there were good games for both (as there is for everything) but not enough, and it was all first party and average graphics.

It was more of a joke than a serious comment. It is all opinion of course - I could buy an Xbox now but I don't want it - that's my choice.

I'm sorry but Dantes post for the PS3 Exclusives and games wasn't that great, here are the games I chose Playstation for: Resistance 2, Killzone 2, Motorstorm: Pacific Rift, Little Big Planet, Metal Gear Solid 4, Uncharted: Drakes Fortune, Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm, Yakuza 3, Infamous, Gran Turismo 5, God of War 3, Wipeout, Tekken 6, MAG, Singstar. (Tekken 6 is shamefully multiplatform now ) Then there's the multiplatform games that I really want and may already have which include: Call of Duty, BioShock, Resident Evil 5, Timesplitters 4, Fallout 3. Plus tonnes of other PSN games. And Dyson please don't say that you aren't at all interested in Resistance 2, because it would be a joke. http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=4ZcjZdbZnC0&feature=related Personally I love the look at both games and it would be ridiculous to ignore one of those 2.

Meanwhile I'm loving it! Just discovered the brilliant levels in LBP, completed the amazing Fallout 3 and at the final stages of Ratchet and Clank. The system screams out awesome.

I have it now, gonna play it in a minute. Wow this game is great, so many things you can do in create, my favourite level from the NE team so far is the mirrors edge one, eldorado was also great.

Imagine if Earth was as big as Antares... There would probably be no way of communicating across such a vast space, you wouldn't be able to travel over much of the place. In fact there would probably be 50-100 worlds in one planet.

After years of being on sale you'd have thought they could have resolved the Ring by now, ah well, I guess it's not my problem because I have a PS3. Ho hum.

I thought the rocket launcher was the coolest weapon because you could actually see the body parts blowing away in the blast. That or the combat shotgun, because it gave you the feeling of power (DS3) and was basically a limb destroyer.

Really looking forward to it, hope it arrives tomorrow! I guess I'll be spending the first few days on tutorials and then I'll have a bash at create and single player. This game is gonna be whoopass.

Wow I'd go mental if mine broke now. But hey! Before you send it away try a system restore by holding on until eventually it switches off, keep holding, it'll come back on and then you do a restore. It did mine wonders.

I really like the Dual Shock 3. It looks fantastic (in white) and in the end the controls map out easily, are easy to remember and during the game you don't think 'I wish I had a 360 controller'.

Well, I don't see much original stuff on Xbox either, but I don't mind too much because the more traditional games are getting so much better.
