  1. Well after NBA and Skyrim were both "unannounced" for the Switch people have a right to worry once more. To allay our fears they should have announced games that were coming!
  2. Bethesda have refused to confirm Skyrim is coming and just chose to say that they'll reveal any titles in the works at a later date. They just pledged support and helped out with the reveal trailer. Skyrim being shown was confirming Bethesda support as opposed to Skyrim itself.
  3. You mean like the Call of Duty games did on the Wii and WiiU? The WiiU is exactly the reason I'd not be buying this if it doesn't have Party Chat!
  4. Yep, @Hero\-of\-Time has said it perfectly. I think this is what the WiiU should've been but tech wasn't quite ready for it. It was a clear message, with a name that makes sense - you understand the reason for the name. But there was nothing that wowed me, nothing that said "all these games can't be done on WiiU"... because let's face it, they could! Yet the bigger thing, as HoT said, is that they've done absolutely nothing at all to allay any fears about their attitude toward online and social features. Until there's Party Chat, no more Nintendo consoles for me!
  5. Bloody hell Nintendo, let me know if it'll have the feature that'll make me buy it! God damn it!!!
  6. This what the WiiU should've been. Part of me thinks Nintendo are 5 or 6 years too late with this. It's a decent bit of kit but nothing to wow me. For me to get it, Party Chat is a must. If it doesn't have it, I don't buy it!
  7. There's got to be a press release with it right? I'm dying to know features... and yes, that one feature in particular.
  8. I'm not going to find out if it'll have Party Chat or not am I? Just a preview trailer... whereas I'm looking forward to it, I'm still a bit gutted it's not a full reveal.
  9. Well she still thinks we'll see something this week... [tweet]788827935897587712[/tweet]
  10. The only reason I think they need to push hard is because it's Nintendo. The general perception of Nintendo isn't the best and if their new console comes out stuttering then it won't do them any favours in winning over the mentality of their detractors. Or even those who don't particularly hold any view toward them one way or the other. Now if they do hype it and storm out of the gates, with sales doing well, it'll at least put in the mind of people that the console is hot property and might just be a must-have purchase... but this also must go in hand with attractive marketing and price for it to come off.
  11. Whatever their thoughts toward Nintendo, Kimishima and co have to be doing much more to court them and win them over. If it's the case that the cost of porting is once more too high when weighed up against predicted sales revenue then Nintendo only have themselves to blame once more and it'll more than likely be another stupid hardware decision for yet another generation.

  13. It's a shame it seems Nintendo still aren't doing enough for 3rd Parties, with RDR2 being confirmed for PS4 & XBO with no NX version in sight.
  14. 1st and 2nd Party games would still be exclusive.
  15. That Chalobah assist though...

    Battlefield 1

So who is grabbing this on PS4?
  17. I figured it must have been confirmed as you sounded quite certain here..? I didn't realise you were meaning if Nintendo are footing the bill.
  18. @Dcubed where's the confirmation this is NX exclusive and Nintendo funded ala Bayonetta 2?
  19. It certainly is a strong foundation, but also one that is shrinking. That foundation didn't help the WiiU and, whereas 60m+ sales are good, didn't bode as well for 3DS than it did for the DS. We all know die-hard Nintendo fans will flock to the NX but how many die-hard Nintendo fans are left? 10 million maybe..? I think a hybrid has the best chance of selling most consoles for Nintendo than a separate handheld and home console would. I'm looking forward to the reveal and seeing if they can recapture lost gamers. I'm still hoping they do!
  20. It's true @Ronnie, @Goron_3 is right, you can't gauge hype amongst the general public by referring to gaming websites/forums.
  21. You guys have seen the patent right?
  22. They both have been playing a little more Splatoon today, seeming to enjoy it a little more... although the prefer Battlefront because of the different modes.
  23. I'd like a hybrid in the sense that the NX is two devices that are actually one console. The first device is the "portable" part of the device and is where you insert the cartridges. It's a fairly powerful machine, powerful for a portable for sure, at least allowing enough for a relatively decent battery too. When playing at home, you detach the controllers and connect the portable to the second part of the device, the "dock", which is the Supplementary Computing Device (SCD) we saw the patent for. So the two devices combined form the "home console" which then has increased power thanks to the SCD, power in the same breadth as the other consoles and it also has more functions/features. So the handheld has similar features to the 3DS, but when plugged into the dock it's range of features increase... Party Chat, Netflix, game recording/streaming etc. What you'd expect from a home console basically. Subscription service for Virtual Console for sure, like Netflix but full of Nintendo greats. I'm ok with their games generally, but would like online when a game is multiplayer and I'd like to see them bring back Waverace, 1080 and F-Zero. I'd like to see new IP and a greater focus on narrative in some games, Zelda and Metroid for example (gameplay doesn't need to be sacrificed for this, not sure why some say it does). Lastly, I'd like 3rd Party parity with the other consoles.
