I still think it's too late for the full reveal. They may well lose potential buyers thanks to it not being prior to Xmas. People will spend at Xmas whereas they may not have spent as much if they thought they'd save for Switch too. And if the dock truly does nothing more than charge and TV out the console then no matter what Nintendo say, or their fans, this is a handheld device! Now if the dock does do something more, a boost of power, adds memory or features, then fair enough... but until we know for certain, it's like we're calling an apple an orange just because Nintendo say it's an orange.

I still think they should've given us an earlier reveal. They could've then done Directs for upcoming titles to keep the hype going.

If Nintendo are wanting me to pay more than £250 for Switch plus a game I want a bloody blowjob off Kishimoto himself to go with it! Unless they show me something that makes the price worthwhile. ...best bloody have Party Chat too!

[tweet]790918055266254848[/tweet] I can see Nintendo going the way of Sony now and extending the generational gaps by upping specs of the tablet portion of Switch akin to the PS4Pro, albeit a little more seamless; if you want the upgrade you could buy just the upgraded tablet part and slot your existing JoyCons onto that.

Looking at what they showed, even though they said games shown weren't representative of what the games would look like, that it's predominantly a handheld console (no matter how they say it is a home console first) and the limitations that would bring to the hardware, there's no way I'd pay more than £250 for it! I'd want a game with it at that price too.

They should just have a gyro/accelerometer in the joy cons and use them to compensate for not having an IR pointer

I don't think I'll ever believe that 3rd Parties are truly backing the Switch unless RDR2 gets announced for it.

Nintendo don't half make things difficult for themselves sometimes. People could do with knowing if they should hold off on buying things for the Switch, especiall in the run up to xmas, they need reveal more info about the system. That 3 minute trailer isn't enough for the mass market.

How do you mean via USB? I'm talking about the console itself, not the controllers..? The console charges when it's in the dock... and I'd have thought the dock will plug into a socket, no?

Oh I don't think it will either. I was just spitballing as to the reason why the dock is so beefy. Another though as to why it may be is because it houses a power brick within it. The Gamepad charge cable had a power brick on it so if it's included within the dock then the cable needn't have one.

Remember the rumours that said you'd be able to play "a version" of the home console games on the go? What if it holds true and that it means thing like online play, DLC, Virtual Console etc can only be played when the console is docked? So the dock has the HDD to store/run all this, then the handheld lets you play the basic game itself minus additions and some features..? That way you could say it is a home console predominantly, as Nintendo have done... I'm not suggesting this will be the case or that the features I've mentioned will definitely be the ones removed... I'm just spitballing.

We seem to be playing a lot better since Conte scrapped playing the formation we'd played the last couple seasons and adopted one of the formations he prefers to employ. It seems to suit our players better too who have gone from playing awfully to now seeming fairly competent and some playing well again! On the up for us I hope!

As always when first starting BF, it's a bit overwhelming... but oh boy, it's oh so good! Soooo good!

Just picked up a PS4 copy whilst on my lunch break Although I'll not be on tonight as I'm off to see Ross Noble... I'm not really a fan of his but I thought I'd go with a mate as he fancied it.

"Please, please, pretty please Switch from Sony/Microsoft to Nintendo!" :p But moreso a tag-line of "Don't Switch off", "Make the Switch" or something like that.
