  1. After 20 days (18 since I shipped it) my 360 is on its way back to me!!! Its been repaired which I think I'm glad about rather than getting a refurbished unit??? Anybody had theirs back from repair and then have it break again? I used to have mine flat but I think I'll have it stand vertically this time around with my cheap ass Tesco fan wafting it so as to make sure it doesn't overheat!
  2. I'm having problems with GamePlay. I pre-ordered Tomb Raider Anniversary on the 360 on the 11th of October. It came out on Friday and I STILL don't have it. I also bought Senko No Ronde for 360 off them on the same day and it took over a week to get to me. This was the one and only time I would use them (mind you my 360 has been gone for repair for TWENTY days now so its not as if I can play them but still:heh: ) I use a site called Softuk.com. Very quick postage and always helpful but sometimes a tad more expensive than say Play or Amazon.
  3. I wish I could play VF5 but Microsoft are pissing me about with regards to my 360 repair. Its been gone 17 days and they are telling me I might have to wait until November 5th at the earliest before they will even send it back to me:shakehead I have sealed copies of Senko No Ronde amd Tomb Raider Anniversary sitting on a shelf and no console to play them on:(
  4. HoT - I've pre-ordered Tomb Raider Anniversary 360 from gameplay. Can't wait to play it, mind you my 360 is off being repaired at the mo so I hope I get it back soon - its been two weeks. If you do (or anyone else) decide to get it let me know what its like - you'll all be playing it before me:(

    Okami

Thrilled that Okami is coming to Wii. Still need to finish it on PS2 - I was going to wait and just complete it on Wii but its such a good game I may as well play it now on PS2. I don't think I'll mind doing it again on Wii. Okami is the best PS2 game ever.
  6. I'm with King_V on this one - I LOVE P.N.03. I loved the simplistic art style and clinical feel to it although I thought Vanessa looked exactly like Jill Valentine from the RE Remake. So although I don't think we'll see a sequel on Wii, if we ever did I would definately buy it (so long as it wan't on PS3 cos I don't have one).
  7. I have 57 GameCube games. I've traded a few in usually either because I just didn't play them anymore or I was shit at them but the games I still have I will never trade in. The Cube was my main console of the 128-bit era (after the premature death of Dreamcast) and so the games remind me of that time and I will never get rid of them. I play more Cube games on my Wii than I do Wii games. It was (and still is) an amazing console.
  8. My 360 has been away for 8 days now Microsoft were pretty quick with me - 360 died last Tuesday and the UPS man was round on Thursday to pick it up. Mind you, Microsoft's site still says that they are waiting for my console at the Service Centre even though UPS say that they delivered it on Monday. I never thought going 360 cold turkey would be this hard - all the games I ordered before it broke have arrived in the mean time and I can't play them:blank:
  9. Another thought just entered my mind-blown... mind is that even if SFIV turns out a bit pants then at least we can be safe in the knowledge that there will be updates of the game afterwards. Please let Cammy be in SFIV. even if I have to wait for IV ver.3 she has to be there!!!
  10. SHUT UP!!!!!!!!!!! I cannot believe this news!!! It was Street Fighter IV and Shenmue III that I thought I would never see. And you would never guess that I LOVE Street Fighter <<< In an ideal world SFIV would be announced for Dreamcast - the home of the 2D beat 'em up. But 360 will do just fine. The only thing that would make this shite would be if Capcom made it in 3D. If there is a God please don't let them do it - Street Fighter IV MUST be in 2D. I'm off for a lie down - be still my beating heart:heart:
  11. Jordan - Just noticed that I put Double Impact instead of 3rd strike!!! And of course you are right - 3rd Strike is vastly superior to Double Impact.
  12. Toy Commander was the game I got with my Dreamcast all those years ago. I remember I wasn't too impressed when I saw the bundle I had got but once I played it I loved it. Looks like a really easy kids game but jeez was it tough in places! Nice to see (mostly) everyone so far has experienced and loved the DC - I really don't think we will ever see a console like it again. Agree with most people's choices of favourite games - mine are: Street Fighter III: Double Impact, SoulCalibur, Skies of Arcadia, Shenmue and of course Shenmue II. All five of them complete and utter classics.
  13. At the title screen just select new game and you should go straight to the first Peru level - your progress on Croft Manor will still be saved. And what a game it is!!!
  14. So it just occured to me that the Dreamcast launched here in good ol' Blightly EIGHT years ago today (14.10.99) after being delayed by three weeks. What are people's memories of the launch period (remember - when most people seemed to love the DC before the horror that followed)? I was an impressionable 14-year old at the time and after having loved the Saturn to death I was amazed the first time I saw Sonic Adventure and Virtua Fighter 3tb (good times ) It breaks my heart to think what happened only 2 and a half years later but was just wondering what fellow DC owners feel about that period and if there was anything that could have been done differently?
  15. Yay I LOVED Fahrenheit - played it on PS2 & Xbox and much prefer the Xbox version. I agree the ending (well the ending I got) was kind of pants but its still a great game and well worth picking up.
  16. After 21 months of having absolutely NO PROBLEMS my 360 has just DIED (3 red lights). I'm devestated:( Is there light at the end of the tunnel? I need it back for Tomb Raider Anniversary and Orange Box which are only 2 weeks away. I can't believe this has happened!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  17. I voted for number 2 - in my opinion it had the best story and at the time I thought it was the best game ever made. I also wouldn't mind seeing Code: Veronica remade as I really like the storyline between the Redfield siblings and since Claire doesn't seem to be in Umbrella Chronicles, it would be nice to see her all next-gened up.
  18. I played the first one on Xbox but never played 2 or 3 - mainly cos three was only on PS2. How did the series progress? Oh, and does anyone know why its called Project Zero here? Its a shite name. Glad to hear number 4 is on its way to Wii though!
  19. I agree with Cube - I think the PAL cover is way better. The white background of the Wii version will stand out against the black of the PS2/360/PSP/PC version of the game which in turn shows that the Wii one is different than the others. I think so anyway.
  20. Just been on computerandvideogames.com and seen that one of the guys from Free Radical is looking to bring TimeSplitters 4 to Wii!!! He also (albeit jokingly) said that he would like to see fans petition for a remake of Second Sight on Wii because he believes that the controls for the mind powers would work really well on the Wii Remote (and Nunchuk I suppose). SO... TS4 & SS on Wii... Discuss...
  21. Rising Star are publishing the game in Europe in Feb '08 - well last time I was on their site they said they were unless Ubi Soft step in and take it off them (go to risingstargames.com and click the 'About Us' tab). Would Rising Star release the game uncensored I wonder?
  22. Okami, SoulCalibur III, OutRun 2 or 2006, Virtua Tennis 2 or 3 and Space Channel 5 Part 2 would make great Wii-makes I reckon
  23. What I would like on Wii in '08 would be a new 'OutRun', either a new proper 'Resident Evil' or a remake of number 2, 'Pikmin 3', 'Eternal Darkness 2' would be nice as well, as maybe a PAL conversion of 'Baten Kaitos Origins' (but on Wii like how HM: Magical Melody is coming) and FOR THE LOVE OF GOD 'Burnout Wii'!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Okami

Okami is a thing of beauty and I think the best game on PS2. If this does get ported to Wii I'll be over the moon (well nearly - I'll be properly over it when Burnout Wii is announced COME ON EA).
  25. I was thinking about this arguement the other day. I'm not sure if Mario, Brawl or Metroid will persuade that many 'hardcore' gamers to the Wii. In the UK I think Halo and GTA will always sway people to the other consoles rather than Nintendo's consoles. Having said that I do think Mario Galaxy will be picked up by a lot of the casual audience because it looks fun and will appeal to a broader market than maybe any other Mario game before it. I think we also need to bear in mind that Nintendo have never been the market leader for home consoles in Britain so a lot of people will never have owned a Nintendo console before the Wii and so will be discovering these franchises for the first time. Take me for example, before GameCube I had NEVER owned a piece of Nintendo hardware - the characters and games did not appeal to me. I was a Dreamcast owner and the only reasons I opted for a Cube was because the DC died and Resident Evil was going exclusively to GC. The only Mario game I've played is Sunshine and I've never played Smash Bros in my life but since crossing over to Nintendo I've seen what an amazing company they are and I hope everyone who has picked up a Wii as their first Nintendo/ever console see that too.
