  1. IGN review up (9.7/10): http://wii.ign.com/articles/833/833298p1.html Criticisms: Uselss addition of Rosalina that conflicts somewhat with traditional nature of Mario games, somewhat alleviated by choice not to view additional details about her story in the library; Some instances of camera problems when auto adjusting (rarely happens but can still interfere in critical moments); and Overall too low in difficulty with star cut off point and some pushover bosses including the final boss. Also theres a complaint about lack of voice work, but because the audio (particularly the orchestrated pieces that are of particularly high quality, the game got 10 in audio anyway). -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Satisfied with the score and was around what I expected. Was just about all praise, I outlined the only criticisms of the review above. I look forward to another "memorable" gaming experience that only Nintendo can provide best...
  2. If this game isn't a million seller in Japan, then I don't know what will be. They're been so harsh on Nintendo games lately in terms of sales...
  3. Mediocre as of now. Right in the midst of final examinations to which i'll be finished in 7 days time. 12 weeks of not a single bit of work for all units is having a toll on my performance. Night before extreme cramming has become a trend this time round... Should be able to pull off miracle passes though, never failed before and I don't think now is the time that I will...
  4. I don't think he should've been anything more than an assist. If anyone should've been playable, it should've been some of the females such as Lyn that were made as assists. The game needed more female representation and would've liked to have seen more than just Krystal...
  5. I always thought archery was going to be one of the very best events. It just looked spot on from what was shown and it is! Great times ahead with Galaxy, Corruption (although seeing the final 100% ending before it was even released in PAL regions, I still don't own it, but am still getting it as seeing the ending didn't bother me considering it was nothing particularly spectacular anyway and pretty much what I expected), Zack & Wiki, Endless Ocean and Mario & Sonic among possibly a few others. It should keep me busy for at least 2 months...
  6. Yeah, for me it would've been. Sound makes the experience, without it, it'd be nothing. Try watching a horror movie muted and you'll see what I mean... I just want to put on some soothing sounds to suit the ocean themes as I am anticipating this will be one of my favorite games of this generation, right up there with Galaxy due to the relaxation factor, I don't have to think, just sit there, listen and play... Paradise and I didn't want that ruined by some woman singing...
  7. Zelda so far is still the best for me, followed by Wii Sports. I already sold Mario Party 8 (as I ultimately did not like the game and the slowness of the main boards was very annoying) and I'll be trading in Red Steel and Super Monkey Ball Banana Blitz to which I hated because the best mini games in the series were totally ruined (i.e. Target, Race, No Billiards) to get Galaxy 70% cheaper, and i've already done my math, i'll earn a few more dollars this way then selling them on ebay as they don't sell for all that high...
  8. DOH! How could I forget that? Thanks for making me realize this before I made the mistake of not purchasing this game. Massive relief thank you as I really hate that default music!!! :yay: :yay:
  9. Thanks for your suggestions, MORE, but remember, I am particularly interested in games that have real humans in the game ala the screens i've posted above as well as a few of the recommendations in particular fulfilling the requirement It'd be cool if this forum had a hugging smiley...
  10. I've just noticed one massive gripe about this game which may have just singlehandedly made me change my mind about purchasing this game. I watched some videos on the tube, and found all gameplay footage had music with this woman singing vocals. Please don't tell me thats the default music for the game...
  11. 7.9ed http://wii.ign.com/articles/833/833014p1.html Not the best of reviews again (in terms of detail)... Still getting it though as my holiday period is tight so this mini game fest is perfect. Wii Sports 1.5, here I come!
  12. Keep this up Galaxy and you could cause one of the biggest upsets in the modern gaming era. Imagine how awesome it would be if with all these ultra fantastic mature perceived HD releases (i.e. Bioshock, Halo 3, Mass Effect, The Orange Box. Assassins Creed etc) Super Mario Galaxy wins GOTY. It would ring true to the notion of Gameplay > Graphics.
  13. I think Lucas Arts could potentially sue Nintendo, just look at todays Brawl Dojo update and you'll see what I mean...
  14. This ain't Wii Ware, its a full retail release...
  15. Enough interest for the idea, or bin it?
  16. I think i'm gonna go ahead and purchase an older computer on ebay or somewhere to specifically play these classics I missed out on...
  17. I think the clock is exactly what I said above, its either paying homage to The Legend of Zelda or Super Mario Bros 2, where you freeze your opponents for a few seconds providing an opportunity to bash them a bit. Of course, the amount of impact would be subject to how much damage the players have accumulated, you could be struck and then be frozen hence be unable to recover, although i'm not sure whether attacking a frozen player would make them unfrozen or not...
  18. New Item? Homage to either Super Mario Bros 2 or The Legend of Zelda where you freeze opponents for a few seconds when getting the clock?
  19. Thanks for all your suggestions. Any other ideas?
  20. Whos gonna even buy this? Anyone?
  21. Not exactly what i'm looking for but i've heard nothing but good things about these games yet i've never played, so i'll add it to my list anyway. Escape from Monkey Island is probably the warmest to what i'm after...
  22. Basically I am after some quality and/or mediocre point and click adventure games on PC and/or console. There is one condition however, in the game(s) recommended, I want the actual game to feature a human avatar as the main character and possibly even as characters in the game. To give you an idea of what I am after, i'll post a few examples of what I mean, games in which I have played and know about: Toonstruck --> Played and beaten (both discs). Ripleys Believe it or Not: The Riddle of Master Lu --> Played and beaten. Phantasmagoria --> Haven't played but want to acquire as is scarce where I am because it was banned... Any recommendations as to point and click games that meet the criteria of having a human avatar as the main character and/or the games characters as well would be much appreciated. Can also be of this nature: Dreamfall: The Lost Journey -->
  23. Why does it have to be so darn fattening (high satured fats) and high in sugar!!! Darn manufacturers... Nice treat though, especially plain vanilla soft serve for me, love it. I'm the sorta guy that can have a truck load of food for weeks on end and will not put on a single kilo, its quite frustrating actually... Also funny enough i am a big fan of ice cream from "ice cream trucks", probably just the novelty factor I guess...
  24. I've gotta wait until the 29th November, which sucks...
