  1. I think they called it ToS 2 cause the original sold excellently in both Japan and America and they want to build on the GameCube userbase who enjoyed the original and allowed it to eclipse 800k sales. I'm really looking forward to the game though, good RPG's are hit or miss nowadays and the original was one of the best last generation. I think the Wii really needed an annoucement like this, a main series non port non spin off game, awesome!
  2. After watching the TV series of Zelda on Youtube I hope Zelda is never anything but a Video game. Seriously, I felt physically sick. Anyone who hasn't, check them out. They'll tell you why Link should never speak in a game and why Nintendo are so great at not entirely killiing and ruining their franchises.
  3. Why? Because you think so? I couldn't care less for Wii Fit and don't intend to buy a 360 or Ps3. What you think of gamers and what gamers are, most likely are two very different things. Nintendo have alot of challenges ahead of them, but I think they can fulfil keeping people interested with just the Wii Remote and Nunchuk combination, we haven't even scratched the surface of it's potential. So Nintend annouced one game that you don't like, and that completely ruins the fact they're releasing 4 absolutely huge games in a short time span (SMG, MP3, SSBB and Mario KArt) along with other great hits such as battalion Wars 2 and Fire Emlem? You're over reacting or something, cause I still see a huge amount of potential in the Wii line up. I really don't know what DS games you're playing, I'm seriously lost on that one. Buy some games like Elite Beat Agents and Taiko Drum MAster. Just look at Phantom Hourglass, controlled entirely with the Touch screen, and receiving huge praise for it - do you even own a DS? :S There is no limit on creativity, as long as there is a games designer out there with a new, unique and innovative idea then the Wii could see amazing games. The PS3 / 360 can reach a dead end in terms of realistic graphics, but gameplay and artistic value have no limit, no matter what the hardware restrictions.
  4. Short post to sum up why this guys an idiot. He probably invested a huge amount of money into Sony and the PS3. Bought the shares, expected huge returns. Now he's about to lose the same sort of dosh he did on the PSP, he's crying about it. His points are moot, and he's well out his league. End of the day, this is the guy who made games which were pretty much forgotten because Nintendo made better games, shame.
  5. Must go to school, great news on this one. http://wii.consolegaming.eu/newspost.php?id=86 Bye!!!
  6. A different take on the news for anyone interest - http://www.consolegaming.eu/newspost.php?id=84 But yeah, it sounds alright. Well you can hardly complain can you? Manhunt 2, Table Tennis and Bully is a good sign of them giving Wii Support. All they need are good sales for some non-ports .
  7. I personally prefer a unique art style over realistic graphics, which is probably why I am looking forward to what the Wii can pull off in the future. You can put as much Ram and whatever in a PS3 or 360 but it's never going to make games look better then Wii games to me. Unfortunately I'm within the minority on this opinion, on the plus side Wii seems to have a much greater focus on this .
  8. http://www.consolegaming.eu/newspost.php?id=76 I think it looks promising, hoping for online play but either way it looks like a great concept. Anyone played the Ds version? Any good?
  9. About 20 years ago, yeah lol.
  10. The Xbox 360 is hardly flying off shelves is it? And even then only 55% of consoles have actually connected to Xbox Live. Online gaming isn't that big, sure, in 5 or 10 years it will probably be a large part of gaming (at least alot bigger then it is now) but when it is, Nintendo will be there ready to pounce. Thing is, at the moment, it's not important, and so Nintendo are in a good position with their focus, it's their but it's pretty suttle. I still think Wii online is going to be great come 2008 anyway, the list of online games is growing at a good pace and it is extremely cheap and easy for online to be built into Wii games, no doubt a huge enticement for any developer.
  11. I'm like that, but I can remember all 151 off by heart and name them all. I just have an amazing memory. Can't wait to get Pokemon on the DS, gonna bring back alot of memories ^_^.
  12. I have a feeling it will be 1080 using the balance board. If it's a mini-game compilation I will be VERY angry.
  13. ahh yeah, I always get confused on that one. I had the idea it was a Japan based company making games for the American market. Dang Nabbit, oh well.
  14. No, it wasn't, like every Nintendo game ever made....
  15. Microsoft develope games in English, have their developement studio's set up in America where it is much easier to find translators to hire, and have a much smaller amount of first party games to translate. It's not fair to compare Microsoft to Sony or Nintendo, if they were producing as many games as Nintendo do then they wouldn't be able to stop delays.
  16. The game getting continuous delays and yet to actually prove it's set for a worldwide release? MGS4 is the biggest game in Konami's recent history and I'm sure dedicating more resouses to it's localization isn't an issue (Just look how long Eledees took if it's not as important to them...) Microsoft are an American company, it's alot easier to find localization teams in America then in Japan. I would imagine they're translating Blue Dragon into all 5 languages simultaneous, cause well, how many games do they make in Japanese first and then English? Not many. They're a company based entirely in Japan who have the job of translating well over 30 games a year, many of which that have a huge amount of text. They can only employ a certain number of people, in all honesty I think they're doing a great job, under the circumstances. We still get the games, and for the most part the delays are bareable. If Nintendo took resources out to translate SSBB quicker, then you would only be complaining that SMG or Super Paper Mario were delayed further. Sony are much worse then Nintendo in my experience, but both companies are going to struggle. They're based in Japan and make alot more games then Microsoft do, so comparing them to Microsoft is unfair in all honesty.
  17. SHould be Dead Star or In Your World from Muse, but Knights of Cydonia is an awesome riff in all honesty, especially the bridge. I'm really hoping for Welcome Home by Coheed and Cambria.
  18. That looks like one of those platformer levels, like in the adventure mode on SSBM. So I guess it makes sense you can fight them things, cause they had the soul sucker things in Melee.
  19. I want the suit which turns you into a stone squirrel :/.
  20. Matt from IGn says Smash Bro's online is 99.9% sure unless something crazy happen at Nintendo.
  21. The part about another publisher getting the resurrected by another publisher. Surely this could be Kid Icarus being made on the Dead Phoenix engine by Capcom? Or is it a historical reference? Hmmm.
  22. So what? This is the guy who is also making Super Mario Galaxy. Don't see anyone complaining about that.. E3 is the only event in the entire gaming calender where Nintendo are given the opportunity to make a presentation to the mainstream media. The mainstream media don't have a clue what Metal Gear Solid, Metroid Prime and Halo 3 are. Something like Wii Fit is simply going to steal the show for them, and that's why Nintendo used E3. I'm sorry but look at the line up. In a 6 month period we're getting: Super Mario Galaxy Metroid Prime 3 Battalion Wars 2 Fire Emblem: Godess of Dawn Mario Kart Wii Super Smash Bros Brawl Nintendo chose to show off one game we already pretty much knew about, and that means they've stopped making the traditional games that fill pretty much 90% of their upcoming line up? Zelda: Phantom Hourglass has been the fastest selling Zelda yet, and Twilight Princess has still sold better then any Xbox 360 game to date. Nintendo are getting new markets, sure, but are they forgotting about their old core userbase? Hell no.
  23. Especially when it's a Metroid Game.
  24. I thought that is more reasonable, although it seems a bit of a trek having to do that every time. But if it stayed for the whole game, then you would only have 5 big mushrooms to power up in the whole game, so I think your suggestion is right.
  25. I would imagine it's more like there are 6 different area's you gain access too. Like you start in Area 1, then after 15 stars you can go to area 2, then after 35 stars area 3 etc. Then each Galaxy is themed. and looking at the incredible size of the galaxies we've seen so far, this game looks pretty dam awesome 0_o.
