(Third one is best, Frank. If you don't choose it I'll kill you.)

They're equally bad in their own special ways. The X-Men posters shouldn't have kept trying to replicate the perfection of the X2 poster.
-
If that remains the film poster nobody will go and see it. Looks ok. I like the supporting cast. Anna Kendrick (is that her name? It felt like a name that suited her. The one from Twilight/Up In The Air/Oscar queen) and what looked like either Bryce Dallas Howard of Christina Hendricks. Wait.. "-endrick"...I've got SOMEONE's name wrong here. I can feel it.

Even though I was never as familar with his work as I feel I should be, and I'm not sure how many people here know about him, he was a very important figure for his spoken word/poetry/music/stuff. I only really know a few of his pieces, but his most famous is surely The Revolution Will Not Be Televised. Many people might be most familiar with his appearance on Kanye West's last album (Who Wil Survive in America). He was 62. Last year he had his last album remixed by Jamie from the XX. Heard it's very good but never listened.

I don't believe you. Sorry.

Joke pictures from new Rolling Stone. "Hey cunts." *disappears back into the shrubbery*

I would post more but as I've said I'm out of the loop! Come Summer (it is summer. Come Edinburgh-being-back-in) I will rectumfy this.

YES>! I've never considered. "Muir Island Research Facility" just unassumingly on my arm. As though I was an escapee. Proteus 2.0. I need to read my copies of the Proteus storyline (set in Edinburgh yesssyeyssys) and see if any images stun me.

Yeah I know. Which is why It needs to be stunning/before unthought-of or seen. I can't have the Scottish flag on me...means nothing.

Very vague. I used to only want a word/s. As pictures are so likely to turn out horrible. But then I realised symbols/symbolized pictures (that's not a phrase, but you know what I mean - i.e not trying to emulate a portrait or anything) could be nice. So I thought I might get the X-Men "X" (in the circle). But wasn't sure. Now I think I want something to do with Scotland. But dunno what. I hate everything I see when I investigated Scottish tattoos for ideas/inspiration. I'll come up with something when I'm back home in Edinburgh. There're certain streets that make me feel something I can't describe. I'll just stand on them until something comes to me that can visually sum up that feeling.

Reminds me of the first episodes Clayface appears in Batman The Animated Series (Feat of Clay Pt. 1 and 2), when Batman is experimenting with a glob of clayface in the batcave. Ok? Bye.

I don't know () and probably inner left arm (lower). I like the idea of leg/calf/ankle too though.

I want a tattoo now! Ugh. I want one over the summer at least. Argh. Decisions, decisions.

Oh yeah I lol'd at the flag. So ReZ. I just love. A tiny flag. Serving no purpose. And flags in general feel underappreciated as things.

I loved the Donkey's voice when he said "Oh fuck off" or whatever.

^ Maybe/that was my first thought. Though I thought Uffie's long-awaited album just really revealed her to be really dull. Some good songs on it though.

I don't really watch stand-up, I just never really connected with the format. So really I can't judge based on that. I usually see comedians on those panel shows (but only occasionally will I watch them). I do like Rob Brydon. I base my comedy likes on TV shows mostly - stand-up just rarely does anything for me. Julia Davis in Nighty Night, Chris Lilley (Summer Heights High) etc...but I'd call them as accomplished, intelligent actors and writers as they are comedians.

Oh hush yo tongue! (Technically I agree, but then sometimes you/I have to just accept when things are fun) Your Love Is My Drug is also one of the most fun pop songs of the last few years.

Ke$ha is life. I deleted half of her first album off my iTunes, leaving only the essentials, but her Cannibal EP is mostly great*. *where you take great to mean relative to similar people/songs by other people.

Desktops Not Necessarily Aligned To One Particular Lunar Cycle!
Paj! replied to Emasher's topic in General Chit Chat
My screensaver is the effect of water rippling/being hit by rain/moving generally and it fits too well with my desktop. Would have to film it though and cannae be bothered. -
I watched the first two episodes of Angry Boys and it was good. Not as funny as Summer Heights High or We Can Be Heroes, but it feels intentional, like it's trying something different. Interesting how he's introducing the characters slowly and not all at once. The twins were in We Can Be Heroes and I was dubious about bringing them back as they seemed "done" back then, but yeah, so far, so good (not amazing).

My favourite off the top of my head is when chair thought the line in Northern Lad by Tori Amos was 'when you're only wed because of the ring' (the actual line is 'when you're only wet because of the rain') What's brilliant is that it fits the (point of the) song perfectly. I actually like it AS much as the original. Though the real one is more explicitly about sex and Chair's version is more sentimental and about the general view of a relationship.
