  1. I think Tori's ego is too big/stubborn, and that ties into all the things that kinda bring her down, her creative insularity at present, the visualettes (nothing short of cringingly hilarious, except Flavor, which I liked) etc etc. She's still great, but it's annoying. PJ is the opposite. And better for it.
  2. I'm currently listening to The Edge Of Love soundtrack. I remember liking the music when I saw it, and I just found out that it's Angelo Badalamenti, the GENIUS behind all/most of the music in David Lynch's films. You can listen to his soundtracks like normal albums. Great, very atmospheric.
  3. The song I've been in love with recently is One Jump Ahead from Aladdin. Forgot about it's greatness until I uploaded Class Disney 2 onto iTunes. Brilliance.
  4. E.R Felt lovely. I love how you can feel it winding up somehow. Carter back is a joke. Bremmer/Brenner annoys me. We just joke about "I was abuseddd!!!1" whenever he appears, but today it was actually part of the episode. Not funny, but yeah. Brothers And Sisters Lovely. Holly looks like sterling silver. Outwitting all the midnight society who conspired against her. SORRY JULIA!
  5. I'm bad at breakfast. I ALWAYS have at least one (usually two) pain au chocolat for breakfast. I suppose it's carbs, and I do walk, then get a short bus to school.
  6. First off; cue more bitchy posts about how much I talk about Tori and PJ Harvey.. Of the "trion", PJ Harvey is the most consistant, and imo, "best". She's completely uncompromising, and just is what music needs more of. No posing, just music, changing styles, honest, raw, passionate etc. The opposite of what Tori Amos has become of late, really. All the fashion shows set to mediocre-by-her-standard songs really let her down, and are just a bit cringeworthy. It feels like I love her stuff (and the new stuff will definitely grow on me) because I know how good she once was, and still can be sometimes. It is toriphilia, rather than pure love of her new stuff, I feel. But yeah. In terms of greatness over time, it goes; PJ>Bjork>Tori. But then Bjork was the worst of the 3 debut album wise etc, so it swaps around for me.
  7. lolz. I haven't read current continuity since some X-men issues last year/the year before where Mystique and Lady Mastermind had just joined, and I remember they randomly found Northstar (and aurora) alive.
  8. I remember he had adamantium claws for the briefest of moments. Or does he still? (in 616)
  9. If you want a recommendation, go listen to A Woman A Man Walked By by John Parish and Polly Jean Harvey.
  10. I'd prefer another Alien Vs Predator to Alien: Ripley, to be honest. And that's saying something.
  11. As I've said before I don't mind what is talked about on here. People think every post has to be recommendations for them personally, when it isn't. I too thought that Girls Aloud post was a bit random, since it neither open nor continues a discussion, but it didn't offend me in any way.
  12. No fucking way. First of all, it won't be Sigourney Weaver (reason to NOT make a Ripley life story no.1), second, half the excellence of Alien comes from the fact that Ripley isn't the obvious protagonist. She's just a normal woman, actually a bit of a bitch in some people's eyes, doing her job. She's focused on less than any of the other character until about half way through. She shouldn't have prior adventures to Alien, she's just the warant officer doing her job as per usual. Agh. The idea of a prequel like that offends me.
  13. I've actually never heard of Pati Yang. That song was quite nice.
  14. The lesson is basically abstain from sex, unless you want a baby. Jokes.
  15. I'm pretty sure he was being sarcastic...
  16. I question her ability to hold a song by herself, but Frankmusik is good, and good production can save almost anything from shitehood.
  17. I'll finish this playlist, then try some other suggestion you've mentioned. (Unless I HATE what I hear, but..I don't)
  18. Everytime I see this thread, I sing the word "Sexuality" to the tune of the One by Alanis Morisette. "Sexually-ally-ally-arrghhh"
  19. Doesn't ReZ love N-Dubz? I remember him saying something like that.
  20. I'm finally sitting down and giving Muse a proper listen. Obviously I've heard them before, but never by choice. Listening to a recommended mix by someone on another site; New Born Hysteria Muscle Museum Map Of The Problematique Stockholm Syndrome Micro Cuts Shrinking Universe Time Is Running Out Thoughts Of A Dying Athesit Feeling Good I already know TIRO, as it's part of a mash-up with Bjork I have.
  21. I assume it's a play on "Zanu PF", a zimbabwean party.
  22. Interesting fax; X-Men as a comic has always been tied to majot issues such as homosexuality and AIDS, especially in the 80's, when the fictional "Legacy Virus" began to kill off mutants around the marvel universe. Of course, mutants representing being outsiders, different etc.
