  1. My first 'celebrity' twitter reply! I feel so important. I aksed a question of Gail Simone, a fairly prolific DC writer - I decided I'm going to start using twitter now.
  2. Many many songs have the exact same thematic content, but she just can't pull it off. I was going to say 'she can't sell it', but evidently, she (or someone else) can... (It's bad in other ways too obvs.)
  3. Eh, at least he tried. I don't recall having much of a stake in any of the altercations he was the centre of on here though.
  4. Oh hardly. Party Rock Anthem was number 1 before that wasn't it?
  5. I prefer the Kid Sister remix since Lil Wayne's verse adds nothing. Same up until the rap bit, then changes.
  6. Yeah, really annoying. Just seems like a massive waste of a character to have built her up (and she has a solid fan/cult following it seems) and then just toss her aside. I guess they REALLY wanted Babs as Batgirl, and with Batwoman and Catwoman getting titles too, a foruth female Bat-character might've seemed too much. :/ I also liked how it seemed to be in 'Seasons' too. Was it not 'Batgirl Rising', 'The Flood' and 'The Lesson'? I liked that touch.
  7. Idiots. As per usual.
  8. THE 4TH NIGHT IS FINISHED The woman walked the hallways. She was struck by the urge to kill, as armour materialised around her. -- Spiral...Spiral...Spiral... -- The woman received a power boost, and mentally grabs hold of two minds, sending them both to the new target she assigned them. One target remained where they were, however. Someone observed from afar. They were touched. -- The armoured woman nimbly crossed the station. She saw the watcher, and had a feeling she was meant to..see her..tonight? Never mind. Her new target was emblazoned across her brain, and she saw her near the weapons room. Someone was about to stop her, but once more was prevented from doing so. The armoured woman charged at such speed that her target, even with her heightened awareness, wouldn’t have time to react. But… BOOOOOOOOOM ‘Yeeeeeeeehaaaaaa!’ cried the person who just whisked the target out harms way, and safely far, far away. The armoured woman screamed with rage, before collapsing and her armour disappearing once more. -- People look out a window on the ship. Earth glows orange. Earth is dead. It was a planet bent on tearing itself apart. It deserved to be judged. It-- --She is here. A portion of the ship is ripped off, and everyone begins to fly towards the gaping hole. But it is quickly reassembled telkinetically. 'Here I Am - It Won't Be Long Now Soon You Will Be Whole Complete And Life Will Begin Again' the creature said with a comforting smile, before flying elsewhere in the ship. Two glistening objects appear and speed away also. 9. Gonna read that in a bit. ^ I spent the last few days catching up with Bryan Q Miller's Batgirl, finally on the latest issue now. I absolutely love this series - same kinda love I have/had for Ultimate Spidey and stuff, but maybe even more? Written so well, and has made me laugh out loud a tonne of times. I love the dialogue, and general 'yes'-ness. Like in the latest one when you see Harmony's speech bubble going 'Is that ALL you got?!', but then the next panel is her going 'Yeah...I'm done.' and just not bothering to try and fight, since realistically, she'd lose against the greats. I'll miss this series. I'm looking foward to the new Batgirl, but it's such a shame to lose this character too. She was being so well developed, and it was just a funny little book that really delivered as a comic each issue. The 'modernity' or whatever of the writing was tempered with old-fashioned action, and it was always paced excellently - it makes you wonder how much can actually be crammed into a comic book these day, but isn't, to draw storylines out. Her relationship with Damian. I love the one where she just has to deal with Klarion taking her to Limbo town. Come on Queen of wearing a bonnet. And just generally how she's great, but still quite bad. Remembering she was the terrible Spoiler, but is actually qualified these days. Be a massive shame to see it go. At least it seems to be 'concluding' purposefully. I wonder what the actual ending to the series will be.

I love the passion you put into the performance. And how ReZ got his own verse.
  11. I wonder if the blue penis will be censored somehow for TV. -- Just seen Never Let Me Go, finally. I liked it quite a bit. Very spare. It could have been filmed a bit more...interestingly. Or I guess 'artsy' with its shots. It was very heavy and affecting without ever treading into melodrama or dwelling on things. Which was good. Good, subdued performances from all involved. I love how Carey Mulligan and Keira Knightley can convincingly play 18 and 28 year olds without changing their appearance much. Have the right faces.
  12. I love taking a photo of you both mid-shop. Such an event it needed documenting.
  13. Had no intention of seeing this but got to see it see it for free today, so yeah. It was ok. The child actors were very good, and not annoying. Usually children ruin films. Also written very respectfully, with good dialogue and depth to the characters, even the ones you don't find out much about. Felt very like a mish-mash of those sorts of films, where children are inexplicably great, but it's fine. I was over the alien after you found out it really wasn't very interesting at all. Some decent set pieces. The ending was meh. Not bad, but not really my thing. Really? The big huzzah starts very early on into the film I found. It was paced fine.

    Lady Gaga

Love the cover. Song is still "...". The Shania Twain production is a lol, but not actually very good. The cover is better than the song.
  15. There are thousands of people all over the UK online you can just meet to have sex with, y'know. It's not a relationship, but you may as well if it's getting you down.
  16. The mentally unstable/deranged/filth-covered woman with no teeth who wanders around the area I live laughing to herself has been christened 'Catwoman' by my sister and I, not because of the comic character, but because she has long conversations with cats, and insists on feeding them whatever it is she keeps in her shopping bag.
  17. Nice to see her costume from the side, looks decent. I wonder what'll happen with her hair/mask. She did have a costume with her hair out for the majority of the 90's/her solo comic book.
  18. If I do make my leap back into buying floppies come september (who knows how long it'll last If I do), I've been trying to make a list of stuff I'll get. In terms of stuff I actively want to read: DC Action Comics Justice League Wonder Woman Animal Man Batgirl Batman (of some sort)/Inc/Leviathan/Morrison's one. Marvel Uncanny X-Men X-Men Legacy Schism Ultimate Comics X-Men/Ultimate Spidey/Ultimates Image Invincible Walking Dead I would have to cut back on that sadly. Get rid of the Image stuff and a couple of the DC. But then I'll get the first issues and maybe decide on that. Suprised at the lack of Marvel variety but then I'm really reading nothing other than X-Men and Ultimate stuff atm. I'm more excited for DC.

    Disney

The Muses in Hercules don't get enough recognition. I always forget about the film too. I liked it. It had a nice aesthetic to it. I loved this song.

    Disney

I need to watch Tarzan tomorrow. A lot of my Disney movies (all on VHS, except Snow White which I have on DVD) haven't been touched in many many years, but I have tried to rewatch a coupld over the last few years when I get a Disney twang. Tarzan is next. Listening to the soundtrack now and remembering I loved it.
  21. It's a good miniseries though, so it's a fine. And not a comic 'resurrection' that makes you go 'eurgh' like many do. It isn't explained away in a shit manner. In fact it makes perfect sense.
  22. One for ReZourceman...
  23. Where is this news? I never knew but assumed/you could tell. If you google it it's all things from 4 years ago.
  24. Did anyone read the Carnage miniseries that came out last year/this year? Just finished it, thought it was great. LOVED seeing a few old Spidey enemies that haven't been seen in almost 20 years, and it was well written I thought. Wasn't a badly down 'return' for Carnage, and some cool new developments have come out of it. And apparently Carnage USA will be the sequel. Loves it. I don't LOVE Clayton Crain's artwork - he's very good at what he does, but it can get too murky and indistinct at times I find. But I recommend this series.
  25. Watched Red Eye today. Seen it a few times, but it's really enjoyable. Incredibly short (73 minutes!), but we lost our DVD of it months/years ago, only to discover my aunt had stolen it. So we now have it back. Memories of seeing it in the cinema with Chair, who burst out laughing uncontrollably at the "Hey!" *throws vase* bit. It could definitely be meatier and better executed but both leads do well/I liked McAdams and Cillian Murphy is always good.
