Went to a Xmas eve service at the church my family go to every year and I used to go to regularly before I remembered God didn't exist. Was fine. I hate how since the paedophile youth worker left/went to jail, the actual nativity production has gone to shit. An advert for getting convicted child offenders back in contact with children for the sake of art. But yeah. Saw some familar faces, but realistically...there's a reason I don't keep in contact with these people (from the old "young people/teen" section, Cafe St.John). Chair came along too to pick up some pressies he left at my house, and he chatted to a guy he knew through me (one of the realistic people I know through the church) also in Oxford with him. Home, need to finish wrapping my secret santa, and might look through my essay more.

You're filth. To be fair, Tori Amos did a session without mentioning it on her twitter, facebook or her webpage, so I assumed. -- Marina & The Diamonds are my best band.

The Greatest is her worst album along with Jukebox, imo. Just really im-personal compared to the others. The Greatest is still decent though. --- ASHLEY! Fun. have a free to download live session on Daytrotter.com. You have to sign up but it's free and there's loads of good bands doing sessions on there.

Dollhouse the last few, up to The Attic. I died. I love. I love how this has got TOO good since it was cancelled. Realised it couldn't be shite any longer, and so got good. I liked the in-joke Dushku makes about being "on-air" in The Attic too. I'm just riveted to the wall by everything. Come on Adele. Adele, come on. I love how the new X-Men have been formed at the end of The Attic. -

She's really really strange looking. I was flipping through my sister's book "How to be an heiress diary" or something, and she's fucking hideous in some the pics, beside captions about "GREAT HAIR!". With those BUG-EYE glasses (one of the women's fashions I really hate, and look awful) on, it's worse.

I sense a thread lock and an arrow pointing to the Music Thread. But I don't see the big deal. Last Christmas is "about" christmas because it's "set at Christmas". You could change any song describing a location/time to something else and change the meaning, but this song is about christmas, becuase that's how it was written and sung... Stay Another Day isn't Christmassy in anything other than tone/aurally. I love Power Of Love. It seems quite unique among the "classic" christmas songs, regardless of how "christmassy" it actually is.

I was wondering why I was so dissatsified with all the music I was shuffling on iTunes, tyhen realised it was all too un-wintery. So I revisited Cat Power, one of my favourite artists/bands, but one I can only listen to when the air is biting and the snow on the ground blue from the evening sky. The best. It just conjures up this; Begging to be carried home, wrapped in nary but a bearskin cloak. I'm blown.

Can't they just name it after one of the comic titles? Like they did with the rebooted Hulk, putting Incredible before it. Name it "Spectacular" or "Amazing" or something.

My new favourite thing are pitch-changed vocals. Prince uses a lot, famously to becomes his "Camille" persona, a higher pitched version of himself, used brilliantly on If I Was Ur Gilrfriend, to realy make you wonder who's singing the song. It's really chavvy in most cases (think Lonely by Akon), but I'm just such a fan. I've discovered Lady GaGa is way better all high-pitched. And fun finding out what singers would sound like if they were the opposite gender.

I remember loving the visual style of Where The Wild Things Are when I was a young one. I don't think I still have my copy though...unless it's in my sister's clammy paws now. I'll rifle through her drawers later.

Going out tonight first to meet chair and the other bestie at Waverly station, then head along to a pub for a sort of school-year reunion thing. Probably won't be that great. So we'll probs leave and come back to mine and play Brawl/MK. (what our lives revolve around really, if we're honest)

Well a few have done well. Leona Lewis is very bankable still, and sortof the only "superstar" of the winners. Yet to see with Alexandra Burke. I have a feeling she'll be around for a while. The others all sink completely. -
I always thought the thing was "If you die in your dreams, you die in real life!", but maybe that's just in Nightmare on Elm St. As obviously...no one could get proof of that being true or not... I can't quite remember, but I'm fairly sure I have. I know there at least one where I've been killed, but the show goes on (whats happening goes on, and I wasn't really that major a part in it anyway).

I do like the full version of Empire State of Mind just on her own...reminds me of how stunning NY is, and how I feel I need to live there for 8 months at some point in my life, selling beads to make a living.
