Anyone near to reaching the end of the single player? Got my bets on @Hero\-of\-Time completing it first! Would love to hear what you all think of it

I actually forgot to mention this in my review! Was even more frustrating when it was more likely you wouldn't fill a lobby than actually get 8 players! Hopefully they'll correct this soon.

Fair enough on all your other points, but just wanted to pull up on this. All of the reviews I've seen have loved the single player - it was a lot of fun! It may be quite short, but it is only a complementary part of the game really. It's also unlikely to go down in price much from what it is now, so if you're gonna pick it up it doesn't really matter when!

Couldn't agree more with this. Would also like to pick up on Wii's point about the special edition - it's so bad that the squid amiibo is exclusive to it. People like me who have the digital copy are completely locked out of its content unless we buy another copy and sell on the other copy of the game! I may try to buy one of the Splatoon amiibo but there's no way I'll be going through convoluted effort it'll take to get all three.

Surely a bit of an over-reaction?

Around 50 different figures over 9 months isn't really slow. It may be for someone who wants to collect them all and wants them all fast, but otherwise, the gap between releases is fine, imo. I think committing to making an amiibo for every single Smash character is retrospectively a mistake, especially releasing them all quickly. Yes, it means they're all there for that functionality in Smash, but getting them out so quickly has restricted their availability. If they were made available over a couple of years, yes some people may have to wait longer for their favourite character, but at least then maybe people would actually be able to get hold of those characters! Just looked at Disney Infinity and they release around 30 figures a year, which are a LOT more widely available. I know Nintendo are eager to bring out lots of different amiibo for their fans to get excited about, but it's leaving a sour taste for a lot of people.

Agreed @Eddage. Slower release + more availability of figures + less stress on customer wallets > loads of different figures which are impossible to get hold of due to poor availability

It's the base of the game. Full single player (5-7 hours) plus the first five maps and 2 modes of multiplayer. Whether it's substantial enough will vary from person to person. Gradual updates are then promised over the coming months, with a major update in August.

Pitch Perfect 2 Not as good as the first. Good musical numbers but very very weak plot. Too many awful a cappella puns. I enjoyed it, but only go and see if you liked the first. Tomorrowland: A World Beyond I enjoyed this, until the last act where it just falls apart. It just ends so quickly, and it feels like there's no threat or stakes to it all. I loved the whole aesthetic, and I enjoyed Casey and Athena as characters, Frank less so. They spent too much time getting to Tomorrowland, the message was lost and Hugh Laurie's character wasn't set up well enough for it to work. So the full voting splits are out. We actually voted Lithuania as our favourite song, which I'm pleased about (I voted for them!). The gay kiss obviously went down well. Poland were second though. And we know that's not because the song is good! - Just checked and Ireland's top two were exactly the same! Everything else looks quite sensible, although Italy are too high and Georgia too low! I do think though that the way they combine the votes is wrong though. The judges should only give their top ten, which is then combined with the public's top ten. Last year Poland were our favourite act, but the judges ranked them something like 22nd, so they got no points.

Roller feels less overpowered in the full game. And thankfully not everyone uses them! Just logged onto the demo and literally everyone else was using rollers. It's not even that fun to use! Played a couple of matches and topped my team each time (expected) but didn't do as well as I would with my fave weapons. Splattershot Jr. just doesn't fire quick enough to stop someone with a roller.
