  1. Oh, I didn't come up with that expression It was a reference to a certain post in a certain thread by a certain member. It mentioned how many of the forumites (or those using that particular thread) "habitually fail when it comes to smashing nice looking birds". I remember a lovely signature used by @Goafer I think? By the way, Lopez is giving out a Crest Doorplate DIY. My island is open. Edit: The name "Crest Doorplate" doesn't sound like much, but it's actually pretty cool looking:
  2. Well...what about "smashing nice looking birds"?
  3. Oh look, Clémence Poésy. Yeah, I'll watch the movie.
  4. Today I have finally made some more progress with DOOM (2016). I always thought this game was a horror-shooter which I usually don't like. And...it actually is a horror game. But for the enemies It's perfect arcadey FPS-action. Enemies spawn and it's up to you to bring 'em hell. It's a shame, though, that the trophies are glitched beyond belief. I wanted to get the Platinum, but getting the trophies turns out to be a crapshoot. Guess it'll just be one playthrough. If the quality remains high I have no complaints, though
  5. @Sméagol The floor lights should've arrived I now have the following colours: white red purple blue light blue green If any of you has other colours available, feel free to send 'em my way I'll repay you in whatever way you want/whatever way I can afford
  6. Thank you so much. And thanks for that recipe
  7. I'll send you the purple and light blue floor lights tomorrow, if that's ok. I have the ones Redshell gave me already placed. Edit: I'm away from the Switch. There are two green floor lights right at the entrance. Take 'em
  8. Thanks @RedShell for the floor lights And for watering the flowers + Edit: Speaking of floor lights, I now have green, light blue and purple ones available. If anyone got other colours feel free to send 'em my way. I'd be happy to send something back, of course
  9. Soleil's handing out Ironwood Cupboard DIYs Island's open for a while
  10. Thanks again @Aneres11 Your second island's coming along nicely, too
  11. @Aneres11 Welp, socializing is on hold. I got time to quickly hop on and purchase the painting
  12. Just about to leave for some socializing. Are you available in 2-3 hours?
  13. Thanks for having me @Aneres11 Your island is awesome And now everything is full of the lovely virus
  14. @Aneres11 On my way I assume it's on your regular account? @Eddage Thanks for the golden seat DIY Did you also send a golden nugget? If so, thanks
  15. Yay. @Aneres11 Not sure when I'll be home. I'll mention you again later By the way: Which picture is available? I only have donated one, so the probability that it's a new one is quite high.
  16. May I call "dibs"? I'm still at work but would love to get the painting later today. Edit: Welp... always expect @RedShell to swoop in and ruin your day. Thank you very much
  17. My mate and I are nearing the end of Monster Hunter World's story. We've been doing quite a few optional quests to farm materials and now we're at a point where we can finish off "normal" monsters in a matter of 10-15 minutes. Teostra was a different beast, though. My mate died twice and I had to use 7 mega potions and some crazy evasive manoeuvres to not perish Next up is one of the most annoying monsters...Vaal Hazak. Effluvia Resistance is a must.
  18. Ah. It's always difficult to identify sarcasm in written text.
  19. It was just an example. No-one's making them (at least I don't know as I'm at work and haven't logged in today)
  20. Every time I'm at work all your residents give away freaking Cattedrale di Santa Maria del Fiore DIYs. When I'm at home it's small cardboard boxes.
  21. 25th completed game of 2020: RIVE: Ultimate Edition (played on Switch). One word: inconsistent. It's a side scrolling shooter that pretty much plays out like this: follow the path fight waves of enemies in a room that gets smaller and smaller by various means (lasers, walls closing in, jigsaws, ...) follow the path fight waves of enemies... occasional boss fight mission end Rinse and repeat. The core gameplay is awesome. Great movement, shooting is precise. The game suffers from a huge problem, though: Ridiculous difficulty spikes. Sometimes it's basically like getting spawn-camped in an FPS: you finish a wave and 10 enemies spawn right next to you without warning and explode in your face. If you haven't died from the explosions be sure to get knocked back into one of the aforementioned hazards and meet your end. This happens way too often on the "how it's meant to be played"-difficulty setting (i.e. hard mode). Normal mode is piss-easy, however. So I decided to stick with hard mode because aside from those unfair moments it was very well balanced and a nice challenge. Well...in the end it's a solid 7/10 which could've easily been a 9/10. Never perfect, though, because the writing was horrible.
  22. Decided that I wanted to finally go for a 5-star rating but didn't just want to put stuff everywhere randomly. Started by fencing in the town plaza Look at this cute little squirrel. Also did just a tiny bit to the campsite: I really want Flip to leave. He's one of the 4 current residents I want to get rid off. Also made some progress with a "residential" area. The tailor shop is left of Nook's Cranny and the museum is right in front of both. The town plaza is on the right of the shop. There will be 8 houses in this area once I've moved 'em all. The remaining two will most likely end up below drahkon's mountain of glory I'm now at 4 stars and Isabelle told me to place more stuff. Not sure how I'm going to do it. Could use some more outside furniture. Don't want to clutter it all up with the same items.
  23. That's what I was looking for. Thanks
