  1. On that, I absolutely agree, without a doubt in my opinion. I suppose we have to remember this is only the beginning for the Wii, of course they're going to be showing off all these games that highlight the innovation of the controller this early on. Hopefully in time they'll realise that people don't only want cool party games for when your mates come round and the odd Zelda, Metroid etc...
  2. Funny, OOT, MM and WW do a better job of it. That's what I was saying. Duuuuh
  3. Listen very carefully. When it says 'fish on', hold the wii remote vertical (upwards) and don't move it. You want the rod to stop moving once it's in the water? Stop moving the Wii remote. When the rod falls underwater like it's caught something... lift the remote upwards AND LEAVE IT THERE. Rollgoal is officially more frustrating than Super Monkey Ball. Just discovered it.
  4. Agreed they didn't explain fishing at all at a point when players are just starting off with the game. I had to look at a guide after 10minutes because of it.
  5. The bosses in TP were the easiest bunch in the series I feel and were also extremely convenient. - Forest temple: good think those bomb emplacements were there. - Arbiter's Grounds: good think those spinner tracks were there. - Temple of Time: the giant statues that punch the ground were there because...?? - City in the Sky (hardly a city now was it): Lucky those Peehats decided to grow and circle the bad guy in a perfect circle. Also thank god the Hyrule designers put clawshot targets throughout the land. At least with the hookshot you could grab onto things other than those targets, here it all felt way too convenient. Seems opinion on WW vs TP is split 50:50
  6. That's because I'm replaying the first 4 dungeons and realising how brilliant the game is, in things to do, in quality, cutscenes and crucially STORY. The more I play the beginning bits the more I realise how bad the second part is. In my opinion of course. I loved the Zant boss fight (once again though, impossibly easy) - I wasn't so convinced about him meowing and having a hissy fit
  7. Can't wait for Sadness.
  8. The ganondorf, I loved TP up until the end of Arbiter's Grounds. Then the game goes sharply downhill.
  9. I thought WW was amazing, in character, spirit, gameplay, graphics, music, enemies and temples. If they hadn't run out of time and abandoned those two temples it would have been even bettter. TP is a very very good game but the story makes no sense, the music is rubbish and it doesn't have that magic feeling that the other Zelda's has. Probably WW for me. Just. (and no I'm not being sarky) This does sum up a few points quite well: http://uk.gamespot.com/pages/profile/show_blog_entry.php?topic_id=m-100-24822032&user=Shirley_Temple
  10. TP has the basis for a good story, but falls flat on it's face in the second half. Again... Hyrule is being invaded by Twilight, Link fixes that... then the two bad guys... erm, sit on their arses really, doing not very much for the entire second half of the game. Link walks up to them sitting on their comfy chairs and defeats them (while uncovering an enormous plot hole). Meanwhile all of Hyrule couldn't care less and has no idea that any of this is going on and seem to be more afraid of a wolf walking about town than the giant diamond forcefield engulfing Hyrule castle.
  11. Good advice, I shall try that!
  12. Hang on... are you talking about the one with the blue bullseye you have to keep hitting? I LOVE that training game but I can only get a max of 18!!!! Crap.
  13. And if it doesn't, they're screwed.
  14. You like your stars don't you.
  15. Monkey Target is pathetic. The original GC version was amazing, whereas this and 90% of the other mini games, is/are just rubbish.
  16. I find it strange you praise the story, personally I can't really make heads or tails of it.
  17. Ok well for some on here there are enough, for others on here there aren't. I think there should be more to do for a game that's been in development for four years.
  18. Zelda Wii: early 2008? No way. I like Phantom Hourglass in WW style personally. I thought Mario Galaxy was always going to be a Xmas release? Can I ask where you heard all this?
  19. WW has more to do (apart from the main quest), than TP. Not opinion this time, fact.
  20. Cool, see ya. I'd say you're right again Fierce, my heart sunk a bit when I found out there were only 4 dungeons in MM, brilliant ones sure, and there was lots to do in between which in effect made it seem as long as OOT but still there was clearly something missing.
  21. Majora's Mask was an amazing game yeah, siiighh...
  22. I think they pretty much got it spot on with Majora's Mask. And there's plenty to do in Wind Waker.
  23. To me: Snore. Don't even know what that is. A minigame that gets boring after two gos. That was actually very fun In the first 20 minutes of the game? You really consider that a side quest? Again, you really consider that a sidequest? Same with any Zelda Pretty fun but been done before in WW. Not really a sidequest but awesome nevertheless. Again, same with any Zelda. I would say about two of those can be considered sidequests.
  24. Well said. If that 'list' is supposed to prove that there's lots of fun things to do in TP, it's hardly convincing. I'm convinced this past year has been spent on something other than TP and they just delayed the launch because they wanted to release it on Wii.
