  1. It's so tough for me to compare the 3D Zeldas, I think they're all amazing in their own way. I loved Ocarina's story, temples and ocarina tunes. Majora's Mask darkness, whole concept and time travel was awesome. I loved Wind Wakers visuals, storyline, animation and boss battles. With Twilight Princess I loved Midna, the Hyrule world and the first 4 dungeons, not to mention a lot of the items. The twilight itself was pretty awesome too as were most of the cutscenes. But with TP I guess in a way it tried to mix something from the other 3 but didn't work as well as any of them. Kinda like convergence gadgets, a camera that's also a phone and a toaster or whatever... it's great on the surface but deep down it doesn't do the job as well as the proper items. Maybe I'm being too harsh. I see what you're saying about comparing 2D to 3D but I don't agree personally. The whole dynamic of the game is completely different. Of course you can say which you had more fun playing etc... so I suppose in a way you can compare them but I like to look at the 2D Zeldas and the 3D Zeldas as two seperate things. The number of items in ALLTP is truly staggering yeah.
  2. Bloody hell I completely disagree. Links Awakening?? It's pretty cool but not a patch on ALttP! And TP? fourth favourite 3D Zelda for me.
  3. Fingers crossed for ALttP! Though I doubt it somehow. Hang on, ALttP isn't on that list that Ninty just released, why would that be out tonight?
  4. Yeah that is nice. I LOVE this one: http://www.thehylia.com/media/albums/mp3/tp/tp/Battle_for_the_Bridge_-_Won.mp3 It should have seriously been the victory theme after each dungeon battle I think.
  5. Ahhh another believer. And finally someone agrees that Zant is a joke. If he'd had that persona from the very beginning then that'd be fine, a bit of consistency and it would have been cool! But to bring it up just before the battle? I was swiping him with the master sword just to shut him up!
  6. I don't like comparing 2D Zeldas against 3D ones. You can't in my opinion, they're completely different.
  7. Sadness on the other hand... hopefully that should be awesome. Hopefully.
  8. Very close to WW. TP comared to any other game that isn't Zelda: 10/10. TP compared to other Zeldas: 8.8.
  9. Apologies. Well to anyone reading my posts, I thought Twilight Princess was a great game but fall of flaws that ultimately makes me prefer OOT/MM/WW.
  10. Spikey walls I don't mind, but apart from that every boss in WW was better planned. The discussion is about WW vs TP, I'm stating my opinion. If you don't like it fuck off. I loved TP. I just loved WW more.
  11. Actually more people bought purple. It was 'the' Gamecube colour.
  12. LOL, ok let's compare to the amazing graphics of the Wii...
  13. No. Real time. Meanwhile we're stuck with hexagonal polygon plungers.
  14. Obviously you've never played either game. I have and they are stunning like that. Hence why I know they're in game. So you'd be complaining if Wii had the PS3 or 360's power with the added bonus of the current innovation?
  15. In game graphics, all 4 images.
  16. No, not stunning at all Of course it's more important for games to be fun, but next gen visuals such as these enhance the experience. Lazy ports of PS2 games, do not.
  17. Wow, 4 games. Just like, wow, 1 new Nintendo IP
  18. I don't see what your problem is... why can't we have fun innovation and next generation visuals?
  19. What about Starfox Adventures on the Cube? Resident Evil? Those were stunning games. Raving Rabbids... fair enough they're cartoony (does Nintendo have the balls to try something non cartoony?) but that doesn't mean the graphics are great. Look at the crowd scenes in the colloseum, they're not actually moving, they're just switching between different images for each body position! It looks a very unpolished game that could have easily been on the GC. WarioWare... whatever lol - Course that couldn't have been done on the GC Monkey Ball, again... nothing wrong with the style, all I was saying was it could have been done on the GC. Nice maturity there. But on the whole I agree with you.
  20. Why is it so difficult to have fun games with innovation etc AND next generation visuals though? Best of both worlds. Blatantly better than Cube visuals? What like WarioWare, Rayman, Far Cry and Monkey Ball? No way, I'm convinced they're worse than the majority of GC games. No it's not, Wii visuals are probably on par with the PSP. How embarrassing is that.
  21. I'm 'moaning' about visuals because I don't like spending money on a new console that has last generation visuals (if that!). Wii's graphics are truly shocking.
  22. Agreed, wow, one game.
  23. I actually think the graphics on the Wii are worse than the GC (Zelda being the exception) and that's what's disappointing me the most.
  24. TP is damaged by a lot of things but not what I mentioned above. I was merely making a comment about the bosses in the game and how this convenience isn't present in other 3D Zelda games. blender: If you think the beginning is bad, you'll hate the latter part of the game. Completely agree with TP being unfocused.
  25. Own all 5 Nintendo consoles, the main thing that keeps me coming back are the game series I love so much. Zelda - played and beaten every game - best game series ever created. Mario - again, played all the traditional Mario games - a close second. Not to mention gems like Mario Kart, Pilotwings, GoldenEye, Starfox. It's really that magic feeling that you don't get with other consoles that keeps bringing me back, that and the innovation factor. Most tresured Nintendo memories: - Playing Super Mario World for the first time and stepping out onto Donut Plains. - Playing two player Super Mario Kart with my older brother and getting thumped pretty much every time. - Getting Lylat Wars for xmas and falling in love with the Starfox series. - Learning a new Ocarina song in OOT. and the most recent: - Making my first serve ever in Wii Sports: Tennis.
