See, though Whitney may still be batshit insane....she at least dresses age appropriately. She knows the audience she's aiming at, and her music at least seems to fit with that. It doesn't scream "LOVE ME PLEASE" like Mariah's recent stuff has done.

It's not often I get the chance to judge other people's posts in the music thread considering the content of my posts...but damn. :p Mariah Carey? Her performance on the X-Factor made me cringe so much. She just can't sing that well anymore after all the years of using her voice so much. Everytime she performs you can see her straining on basically every note, it's almost painful to watch. She just screams of an ageing performer desperately trying to keep current. -- Back to The Beekeeper. I finished giving it a listen this morning. Well, I lie. I only just stopped listening to it. I loved. Hardly something I'd ever refer to as "Very dull". I like the overall sound of it, even though at first I admittedly didn't warm to it.

Nooo, I think Kidulthood is infinitely better than Adulthood. The second comes across as completely contrived, as though the guy thought "Right, the first did well, I better rush out a second". It's still good, but nowhere near as brilliant as the first.

I'm loving the sound of it so far, especially Sweet The Sting and Hoochie Woman. I'm not doing the whole working my way backwards thing. I'm just picking and choosing as I go, I just find it so much easier. I find listening to an album all the way through on one listen a total chore.

I'm completely in love with Tori Amos' stuff now. I love the contrasts between her albums, it's stopped her from sounding even the slightest bit stale even after a night of solely listening to her. Just began listening to The Beekeeper for the first time. Heading into town tomorrow to buy Scarletts Walk. I need.

The Adam Lambert kissing thing has caused a big controversy over in America (God knows why). CBS have made their position pretty damn clear. It's perfectly acceptable for women to share a kiss on tv, but two men? Ew. They aired a clip showing the "controversial" (Eurgh. I'm so bored of it still being considered taboo. Get over it already people) kiss between Lambert and his keyboard player during a performance and made sure it was completely blurred out. Yet seconds later they showed a totally unedited clip of Madonna kissing both Aguilera and Britney. I'm yet to understand this double standard. Anyone care to explain?

*Sigh*. Was looking forward to tonight, but instead it looks like it's going to be another night of boredom (Not counting Eastenders, Obviously). Went to the cinema with Razz only to find that the film had sold out. Decided we were just going to go for a drink instead, but alas I didn't bother bringing my I.D. Fail. Listening to The Waitress is suddenly oddly soothing. Edit: Eastenders isn't on tonight is it? Today fails.

*Spots your new sig and av* Paj, is Rihanna's new effort actually any good? Other than Disturbia, I've never been a fan so I'm not sure whether to give it a try.

I have one. I've become so used to it, it's going to be such a pain not having one next year.

I lied. I tried listening to it without changing song, but I find it impossible not to constantly switch between tracks. Since starting a couple of hour ago, I'm loving Taxi Ride the most. Though, I've not given any other track on Scarlets Walk a go apart from that and the obvious.

I've still not seen it! So annoyed. It just doesn't feel like Christmas without it.

I find it hard to listen to A Sorta Fairytale without suddenly being overcome with a feeling of sadness, or a mellow kind of joy. I never know how I'm going to react to it, so the fact I'm now totally obsessed with it again really isn't doing wonders for my mood. I'm going through her albums one by one now, because I feel as though if I don't do it now then I never will. Starting with Abnormally Attracted To Sin, and working my way backwards. -- There's a few tracks from her Christmas album available of Spotify. I'm totally loving it. I adore A Silent Night With You.

These both made me giggle. And then this one just made me facepalm.

Alejandro? Really? Why!? It's brilliant. I love the other three you mentioned though, especially Telephone. Monster too. Teeth has grown on me massively, but still not Dance In The Dark. I've only heard half of So Happy I Could Die, and am yet to hear Speechless. I'm going to save them until I manage to buy the album.

I cannot get Million Dollar Bill's chorus out my head. I hate it. I heard it in a club, and just stood there until it was over. I hate that I'm now starting to ever so slightly love it too. Grr.

At the moment? I'm at The Forge. Horribly expensive, and though it's perfectly lovely inside, the area around it is abysmal in terms of safety and whatnot.

Finally found some peeps to live with next year, which is such an amazing weight of my shoulders. Now the only thing I have to worry about it getting all this work done in time for Christmas. Actually cannot wait to be properly living in Sheff, without the hassle of student accommodation.

Either just ignoring them (though in retrospect, probably seems a bit harsh) or just telling him completely straight is the only option. If he doesn't listen, then he deserves being ignored. He'll end up hating, but there's not much else you can do.

I was searching through Spotify trying to fill a playlist I'm making consisting of Emo-ish stuff like My Chemical Romance and Bullet For My Valentine when I came across Ok Go. I'd completely forgotten they existed, and can't stop smiling whilst listening through their first album all over again. I love What To Do, You're So Damn Hot, Return (My favourite song years ago, if I remember correctly), Get Over It and C-C-C-Cinnamon Lips. I just love some of the lyrics, and need a bit of Power Pop. I feel 14 all over again hearing them. Get Over It Audio So Damn Hot Audio

Terrifying amounts of hair is...well, terrifying. Otherwise, I can't really see a problem. A complete lack of hair would be equally terrifying. I hate that I'm mentioning him, but whatshisface in Twilight. In the new film he had just the right amount of chest hair.

Never fail to recognise the drunken gay vote either. But, I honestly can't believe he wasn't in the bottom two this week. I had prepared myself for his leaving, and was totally shocked when he got through.

Thanks to Triforce, I can't stop listening to Jennifer Lopez's new song Louboutins. It's terrible, but it won't remove itself from my head. "..I'm just a PART TIME LOVAAAR".

15 texts without one reply? My god, that's insane. I can't fathom what's going through his head everytime he picks up his phone to text without there having been a reply. Slightly awkward? See, awkwardness isn't always a bad thing. At least from my experience anyway. :p -- Finally managed to get some work done, which is amazing by my standards. Treated myself by making a lovely dinner and curling up infront of the X-Factor. If only Mariah Carey hadn't insisted on screaming at me for 3 minutes.
