No doubt there's others that have problems with it, but there's loads of people in here saying they've had no problems with darkness. I just think that given there are people having no problems with identical copies of the game, data-wise to people with problems, it can only really be a problem with TVs. Possibly some sort of display issue specific to this game.
-
I'm 99% sure this is a combination of your TV and/or its settings. I've not had a single problem with not being able to see, including that scene...
-
lol, it's ok. How annoying are other people on free roam? We were trying to rack up assists and they'd come along and kill us and the people inside.

Or maybe he doesn't like females. :p A Mudkip on the other hand...

Ahh yes that's right. I thought you could pay any amount you wanted provided it was over £5, but clearly that only applies to on the spot purchases rather than adding to wallet. The best bet would be some sort of basket where you add both products and pay instantly (not sure if there is one already), totalling £8 instead of £10.

Yeah in that case it's probably just a money maker. But they really should price things in a way so you can use the funds all up on items, especially since things are typically priced at .99 and thus there's an irredeemable 1p. There was an article slamming Microsoft points about this; I guess it applies here too.

Anyone fancy playing online (PS3) later? I'll be on around half 5 ish.
-
If £5 is the lowest you can add can't you just add £8 to buy both? I was never too sure on the increments for the store to be honest.

I think his currency comment did make sense actually. Like you said, people earned less so for it to be £600 then it would have been as if we spent £900 today (probably just a guess of his regarding currency but hey). I remember my friend buying the Sega Saturn for £300 back in the day which was insane. I also remember N64 games being £50 new, and that was back then. Games today are often £30 or less, if you buy online, and they seem to spring up for £20 or less in sales on places like ShopTo not too long after they have been out. In short, cost of consoles/games has generally improved since then, and more expensive consoles (the PS3, as a single base unit) actually do seem to be worth the price you pay.

They connect really well with you? :p

Do you mean that in a single hand (e.g. say you had a pair of Aces) you have to win 2,000 in just that one deal? If so, that sounds really hard. Does anyone know the best place to play poker to win lots (e.g. where the most people play), or have any tips? I've played poker a bit outside of this game but not massively.

How do you play for property? ie for 200 dollars. I'm good at that game and got the trophy for not losing any die, and it's quite fun.

I will be won't be on until tomorrow around 8.

Besides the Warhorse (DLC), there's 3 horses that are roughly tied for next fastest. You actually get one of them for free from Bonnie after the horse wrangling mission (Kentucky Saddler). Besides the Kentucky there's the Hungarian Halfbred and American Standardbred; all pretty much equal in terms of greatness. Get a deed if you can so you'll have infinite summons of them if they get killed.

Hmm yeaaaah, I think I'm not the one needing to chill out. Playing demon's souls online with you was fun but it wasn't really helping me (I'd completed the game twice when I started playing with you). And playing with you, what with the connecting issues and what have you, meant it actually took me a while longer than when I solo'd.

I loved the ending, and the entire show. Easily my favourite drama TV series of all time. It just shows that some of the criticisms people have had in this topic throughout the series were pretty unfounded most of the time and were only made through lack of understanding. I think it was ReZ who said it was silly how in flash sideways everyone from the island just happened to be bumping into each other and the coincidence was too unlikely. But now it's completely obvious why they all bumped into each other again. What wasn't solved is left to the imagination. Which is nice.

I'm guessing it has something to do with it being set in 1911 when most couldn't swim. :p

Seriously...I have no idea where you are. One minute I am helping you, spending several hours killing a boss for you online (or giving advice), and you seem grateful, but then the next minute you're moaning about my posts not sounding kind enough. I post on what I see; sorry if I'm not using flattering smilies here and there but I really don't see the point. It's the internet and I just don't care enough. Can we just be clear: I like games solely for their content. If you start to factor in whether lots of other people like it or not you're basically starting to formulate opinions based on the opinions of others. Yeah...so we agree? All I was saying is that you'd probably like this as even though you say you don't like sandbox games since I know you like Fallout 3. And this has the depth and immersiveness of Fallout 3. Before calling others confrontational I would look to yourself, who has basically spent at least a good half of your post arguing about my character (which I never did about you). EDIT: Quick funny, but I just scrolled up and noticed you also moaning at Cookyman for buying too many games! Grow up. :p

Wow that is...incredibly pompous. Cut short of things, you judged him and he judged you right back. And pretty well, I thought.

That sounds a bit ungrateful if he's paying it for you. I had to pay nearly 6k myself for the research masters I'm doing... I wish someone had paid it for me.

On the contrary, if everyone's buying it there's a high chance that it's very good. Obviously there are exceptions, like recurrent FIFA titles, but these generally aren't accompanied by the rave reviews like with this game. I don't get why you don't like that lots of people are buying it. Is it some sort of elitist "I'm the only one who has realised this gem' notion? The more people who get it, the more people you can play online with. On Demon's Souls, within my level range, there's typically no people to summon at the start of most levels now (except certain hotspots). And when fighting the Old Monk, it's usually an NPC now because there's not enough players placing soul stones down. I'd be overjoyed if there were more people playing the same game so I could have had people to play with. Plus, when you do buy Red Dead when it has gone cheap there'll be people still playing it because it's popular. Unlike with Demon's Souls...where the online popularity at higher levels has dwindled quite a lot all these months after US release. Well you loved Fallout 3. This game is just as sandbox as Fallout 3 in terms of exploration, sidequests and depth. I prefer MM solely because it's fantastic and an overall better game than OoT. The fact less people like it doesn't make me prefer it any more. :p

I didn't have any difficulty at night time in the wilderness. Did you guys turn the brightness up in the settings?
