Lol, brilliant. Especially when combined with Daniel's pic in the image gallery, which just so happened to me! http://img388.imageshack.us/img388/9610/hahamj9.gif

I raged at them all cos we took about 2 hours to meet my other mate when in theory it could have taken about 20minutes, if people had listened to me, and not pretended they knew where they were going, basically. I felt bad for him cos he's sat at a station for 2 hours ringing me constantly, and *i'm* the one who invited him along, I felt like he was my responsibility and he was gonna hate me for it. We had to get from greenwich to charing cross, where he was, and coulda got an overground train but due to some silly reason regarding tickets, we went via tubes, but we ended up having to pay for them anyway, and we ended up ages away at london bridge.

Hf! Not appreciating the lack of appreciation. According to my Collin's name dictionary btw, Amanda means 'lovable' though it's kind of old and I guess there's interpretations. Hardly having much faith in your kid to give her a name that means she MUST be loved however, Danny!

So, I think I just succeeded in pissing off half of my what I consider best mates, and on top of that made one of them fucking cry. Happy new year people, happy new fucking year.

Man, I feared what'd happen with this all did happen. I've gotten busy and fallen behind with things, so I'm skipping out on the commentary for American Beauty, as whilst I have it, I have yet to watch it. Waking Life, well...I watched it whilst really quite tired, and it just...I dunno, I guess I wasn't expecting that and on the whole at the time it made little sense to me. I found it hard to follow due to its lack of coherent and flowing narrative of sorts, plus the art style made me feel sleepy-er. It just seemed to be a collection of people talking, musing, which is well and good but I just wasn't prepared for it. I think however, that I will most certainly attempt to watch it again at some point. I've not had time to watch Fifth Element, though I have seen it a few times before. I may try to grab a day this week and sneak in both that and Leon, otherwise I'll skip watching it and talk from what I remember -
I think you're hanging with ReZ too much :P When I first played fable(as I'm doing now with TLC before I go on to fable 2) I mostly did things that were good, and tried to be/stay good. If I have a choice, then I think I'll reflect my irl morals of goodness(juest yesteday I let twinblade live, but then accidentally punched him in the face so he tried to kick my ass, I ran away to spare his foolish life). However, in the games to get the most out of it, I later became evil quite readily to do some things and get certain things, and just to explore it all as a whole, really. However, just like life, isn't there good and bad in all of us? No one of us is completely 100% positively moral 100% of the time, it just doesn't work nor happen like that. Same for games. Unless it's like GTA or something, that's steeped so much in an immoral world that I don't think there's any much morality to be had in it.

Is pretty good, but something about that joker made it grind on me a tiny bit. Like some wasted potential in an otherwise excellent sketch.

I am considering between two dilemmas. To give my kids really generic obvious names and hope they break from it and form their own way more due to the fact they're forced to(such as you might when you have a silly name like chris) or give them a ridiculously unique name that'd force them to be something in life. There's something about a weird name that does that, Prince being the most prominent example to spring to mind. Would he be who he was if he wasn't named Prince? I doubt it. I might hit the middle ground some people have mentioned, and go for the more unique of first names...like Winston! Jamal! Elbert(dont think this is a name, but I want it to be)! Rupert! I could go on for ages!
-
See, I'd maybe do this but instead just go for 'A', 'B' and 'D'. I just so happen to have a Collins Dictionary of First Names next to me(like actually just so happens), I bust it out(it's also not mine, and is older than me) at the xmas dinner when my aunt was here to look up the meanings of some names after the conversation turned that way. I decided on a few for my kids, but now I've forgot them One thing this thread makes me realise too though, I'm not gonna like naming my kids the same as people I know, which means I need to find names of people I don't know which is a bit weird. I've always rather liked Sophie and Chloe, though I feel I'd be stealing my cousin's middle name with Sophie, and now I know a Chloe. Hmm...tough choices! For some reason I care less about boy's names. I think it's definitely a serious choice though, I've always wondered...how different would you life be if you had a different name!

I think they're all rather awesome! I am up for that shizzle with enough notice, I believe I have claim to some floor in Sheffield too. You wanna be careful with that, some people might take it literally! Ideally ReZ would now be the butt of my joke, but your actual knowing him has totally ruined it, damn you Molly! Though as Herodan has said, it's amazing how normal everyone is. The only reason it's in any way weird is because it's not weird at all. You'd be amazed at how unawkward it all is. Though sometimes ReZ touches me inappropriately at them, tiny bit awkward but I haven't the heart to tell him yet. -
Maybe they're gonna make them all themselves to save the names before other people do it? Then delete them and change back. Or if not, that's like...what you guys could do.

So, I know the GC is, unlike the PS2, a properly and well made console(i.e not made to break), but I also have heard whispers of it getting DREs. Sometimes due to it being dropped. Just the other day, in fact, a friend of mine walked right up to me and whispered into my ear some sweet little nothings, but then he quite plainly and regularly told me that his GC had broken and was giving him DREs. I said I'd have a go at fixing it for him, and in the meanwhile he can borrow one of mine as I've got a few, plus my Wii. He thinks he dropped it, once. My problem is, I don't even know how to begin fixing them! I've been scouring the internet for the past hour but not been having much luck in finding anything to help guide me to fixing such a thing. In the PS2 it was kind of easy to just adjust the dropped laser(which I'd assume is the same problem in the GC) as it had the little cog, but I don't know if anything similar exists in the GC also. So basically, I'm just wondering if anyone knows anything about how to attempt to self fix a GC? Handy guides etc? Ideally one with some pictures/video? I can open and take a gamecube apart without much problem, as I did it when I did my casejob, but that never required me to know any technical inside workings, really. Now I need to know what I need to do to what inside to make things work again, assuming it's fixable.

I was wondering if it was. Wicked costume, was anyone else booshy too?

Surely the internet is constantly evolving? What happens when you rate a totally harmless blog/website as U and then one day it has the word fuck used in it, does it get an automatic bumping to a 12A/15? It's a novel idea, but really quite ridiculous(and I agree with some of jay's sentiments, though maybe on a less extreme scale). The internet is too fluid, and if any such thing was imposed, it'd also evolve out of it, too, into something else, maybe even something underground. If there's two things I know about the internet, it has cleverer people than those setting the policies, and none of them will ever appreciate having any of their liberties or freedoms taken away. There will be a reaction.

You...bastard. Falcon...PUNCH! I actually thought it was kinda good and much better than it could otherwise have been! However, it's a slightly fair point and does not deserve a falcon punching nor any form of billy clubbing.

Ah, you can't fool Rummy with the ol' gimp mask, I been round that shit far too long! On the more serious(lol) note of this actual thread, there's photos, and they're up, but on a photobucket album atm. Facebook's the biggest gay ever, so all my photos are here; http://s126.photobucket.com/albums/p102/Threereef/N-E/ Some are blurry cos I was apparently too drunk/excited to be patient with my camera, I don't normally do that! The thing is usually magical enough to counter my spazzness! You remind me of a strongbow ad or something. In fact, weren't you drinking strongbow?? -
Whilst quite an interesting vid, I rather more enjoyed the one after of a police motorcycle show from the 50s. Something about it really hits me.

Me too, but imagine my surprise when I realised Jay and Grunch were in the toilets with us as well! It was hot though. Megahot. -
Start a kids name thread, guys. As for the short/vs long hair debate, I vote long! I know a few girls and have seen even more who have tried both varieties, and in the majority of cases longer is better. I'd say it's true in your case too, though when I saw the pics of you with long hair, I realised I haven't really seen that many clear pics of you, so I wouldn't have recognised you anyway :p

Haha, yeah, but I was actually quite shocked then. Then I thought it was kind of awesome, just cos it's so ridiculously random. Random question, does anybody else have a constant problem with facebook uploading photos? It always takes about 5 hours to upload an album, then tells me it failed and none of them worked! It makes my face sad, and also means I have less photos to post in here :P

Bloody good stuff is hoegaarden, and they come in fantasic glasses that make you feel like you're drinking way more than a pint. Not had it for ages though, in fact...I kinda wish I had some hoegarden now.... (though not for £3.85 a pint!)

Personally, I second this post. Well, the idea of it anyway. I don't like antidepressants being so common place and common usage. I don't like how people get dependant on them either. I don't like the idea that we use a physical drug to treat a psychiatric problem, I don't think it deals with the cause. I'm also not massively educated in it all either, though(which is stupid, given I have a psych degree AND work in a psychiatric setting, I hated the biology side of the degree). I know people who depend on their anti-Ds, people who don't seem able to come off them, or will come off them 'later', a later which never comes. They're not a long term solution, or shouldn't be, and the longer you're on them the worse you'll be coming off. Unfortunately as some people have said, it's a rather silly society in which we are living right now. It's funny actually, I was talking about this with someone just the other day, and I told them about this time I was my mate's place at uni. It was me, him, our mate, his sister(we know her and shes at the uni, but a bit rubbisher) and his other friend. The two girls were talking about their anti-Ds and how they've been on them for time, and the guy had been on them but stopped. I asked why or how, he just said that one day he decided he didn't want to be on them forever and straight up flat out stopped taking them. I gained a massive bit of respect for him that day, espesh compared to the two who 'can't come off them right now'. My point? Well, it's not too well educated an opinion, but personally I'd say avoid anti-depressants at all costs if you can, last resort only.

I love this post, in my mind it implies you've spent a copious part of your life staring into Damon Hill's eyes that you might recognise them anywhere!

Cremes ain't that bad, it's always the pinks and blues that get left really, fudges and coconut things innnit. I'm due to a christmas party tonight, well excited! However, I would quite to try and obtain some mistletoe, santa hat, and food beforehand as I'm going round early to help my friend setup her shiz/straighten my hair, but I am unsure as to where I could procure the two former at the moment? Where would sell mistletoe and santa hats? My first thought'd be a christmas shop, but then I realised it'd be totally silly for such a shop to exist!
