The Little Mermaid is my absolute favourite Disney film ever so I am really looking forward to this and hope it turns out well (just don't butcher Part of Your World). Yeah I think Sebastian needs to be more like his animated counterpart, just seems off looking so real.

That game of Bowser, Mario, Peach was epic. I can't remember how many rounds it was but to go that long in such a simple game was amazing. Neither of us would pick Mario which would have ended the game a lot sooner. And so many picks of Bowser, you'd think one of us would have learnt sooner. However, I lost to @Glen-i in the end. I thought I remember winning it, Maybe that was another game. OK it's at the 57 minute mark in Sam's stream. 7 rounds.

Nintendo always seem to have the next iteration of a game thought of and in the works when the previous one is out, but this does feel different. 8 has been out now since the WiiU days and there is no sign of a 9 or Ultimate coming. I don't think it means the end of Mario Kart, I just wonder if the fact that this version has been selling so well that they have just put it on the back burner until the new console. They have given us so much new stuff in 8D, I mean we have pretty much had a full new game with the Booster Pass. I hope one day we get an Ultimate Mario Kart which just includes all characters, Karts, tracks and gimmicks from all previous games.

Very solid wave. Good set of tracks. Some weird gravity mechanics on the half pipes on DK snowboard. So @Glen-i and @Dcubed metioned about Riverside Park seemed different right at the start. Yes it is. they have removed the left kink on the start straight and it now just turns right straight off the bat. Anyway fun times.

Really enjoying playing through this again. Loving every minute of it. I've tried all the "new" control options and really wanted to like motion controls using the joy cons but I just couldn't get it to click for me. Think it is just the fact that the joy cons have no natural centre like the WiiMote did. as such I was constantly re centurion it. Even the hybrid control just didn't do it. But the duel stick is perfect, at least for me. Taken me no time to get the hang using that mode.

The theme will be random picks and Samus always wins 😝

I loved that nearing the end of this one we all just pretty much teamed up to screw @Dcubed and @Glen-i who had the most coins when we could. Even they screwed each other over in Toads Bandstand.

Pretty good game in the end, those last turns could have been so different. Will we ever know why @S.C.G took the eyeball warp instead of going for the star and a battle game against me.

If we have a repeat of last week I'm rioting!

One of the closest nights I can remember. Great racing.

Seems these are coming out pretty quickly now. When was the last one? Just before Christmas? So we could have all the tracks by September at 3 months apart.

Physical copy of the game arrived today from Nintendo, very early received and very much liked.

So I ended up getting the Mighty Bowser set over the last week when there was a double points event on, haven't built that yet, but I got this out and built it as it's been a while it's just been sitting around not built. Really is one of the few of the Lego Mario sets that look good as a display set.

totally agree! No stars throughout the game and gets all the pity stars at the end there. Can you tell I'm still annoyed lol

I'll also like to mention that I think the Koopa that runs the bank was a winner in that game too. He made off with like 50+ coins of ours in the end didn't he?

Well that may have been the best game to date. Very close all throughout and I was actually leading through probably the majority of the game. But bloody hell, how the hell did @Dcubed pull that off! I feel a little robbed as I was finally doing so well.

Great racing. Lots of close finishes and laughter tonight.

Just posting the image larger as I think it's funny that Toad seems to have smart steering on. He has the antenna that you have on the back of your kart the you do.

Yup, they are. Double packs can be about £30. Jumbo Pikachu was more than a single and I think the Loftwing Zelda was slightly more but I'm sure that was under £20.

Unless it's a jumbo one like the Detective Pikachu one that's just amazon cashing in, it's got to be. I expect it to be regular single Amiibo price.
