Played the demo, and I know where my money is going to go next week. Judging from the reviews and the demo, this is much better than I had given it credit for. nice job!

Well, I don't really use the slider at all, but I think the GH:WT-guitar is the best of the bunch. Haven't had my hands on a Metallica-guitar, but I don't think it'll differ very much the WT one. Bith the GH3 and WT-guitar are just fine, but the WT feels... nices. Slightly better strum and fret-buttons too. It's funny how RB and GH keep on infecting eachother. I'm happy to see there finally is a meter that indicates when you get your next star.

Ah, another spring, another band-specific GH. Which makes this... only the second, actually. I love the Guitar Hero-series and Metallica is a band that has the Guitar Hero-vibe written all over it. Aerosmith wasn't bad, but this is really how it should be done. Not that I've actually played the guitar-mode, mind. I'm a bassist. And don't dare to call a bass a mere guitar. People have been burnt to she stake for less, you know. Anyway, I can but reccomend this to all Guitar Hero-fans. Only if you really loathe Hetfield and his band of merry rockers should this be avoided. And for late GH-adopters: Europe has an exclusive GH:M + Metallica-guitar set. It's quite nice. It's just... not a bass. :p

Another reason to buy this great game. Go spend, boys 'n girl! The economy demands it! Food is way overrated anyway. And buy Punch-Out while you're at it. If you have to get hurt financially, you better feel the pain only once.

Well, the internet spoiled the surprise... but then again I doubt I ever would have fought the 14th fighter anyways. The title defense is giving me a serious whooping. :p Anyway, I was wrong about my guess. It's a nice surprise, but not as earthshattering as I had thought. That'll teach me for getting hyped! My wrists are sore from playing this game. It's so awesome!

Truth be told, that's better than I expected. I still feel it's more of a 60/70%-er. Guess I'll judge by myself. I've been wrong before.

Hmmm, that's a tricky one... It is a great game: it looks gorgeous, it plays very well, it's laugh-out funny and deceptively deep, but... it's Punch-Out. Great if you love the series, but if you didn't like the NES-version, I'd definitely recommend a rental first. Remember: this is hardly a boxing game. It's is more of a puzzler where quick reflexes and pattern-recognision are vital. And the eye of the tiger. For me, this is one of my best Wii-games so far, but I'm biased because of my love for the series. It's one of those games that define Nintendo. But I can understand that not everybody feels this way about Punch-Out.

No worries, this thread is spoiler-free... unless you click on one of those awfully tempting spoilertags. Anyhoo, I think I know what the secret is. I hope I'm wrong when I get there, so I can still be surprised, though.

Adventures of young Goku. Not a Z in sight. Which means no "It's over ninethousaaaaaaaaaaand!!!" *crushes scouter* -crap. Mix of 2D and 3D-gameplay? Dragonball Origins was pretty good. Might be interesting!

Does Size Matter?... How Big Is Too Big?
Strange Cookie replied to david.dakota's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Playing on a 40" 1080p LCD-screen. Component makes everything look mighty crispy. If you have a HD TV, component is the way to go. No complaints here! -
Well, I got it. But first, I have a hunch about who nr. 14 is. A simple yes or no:
-
Yep, there are reports coming in that the game in on shelves. Unusually early for a Nintendo game, but I'm not complaining. Secret character #14, here I come! Update: Yep, I called my store, and I'm picking it up right after work.
-
What is Nintendo thinking... Anyway, a fair point is made here.
-
Argh! Must... Resist... Don't... click... Spoiler-tag... Seeing as everybody is so excited about and most (sorry Shino) try to keep it a secret (like GoNintendo), it must be pretty awesome. C'mon, just a few more days... The internet has many advantages... but having massive spoilers about every twist and turn in a game before it's even out sure isn't one of them.

Nintendo: We Can't Satisfy You And You Enjoy It
Strange Cookie replied to Daft's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Hmmm, I don't know. Sure, she's funny and makes lots of witty remarkt, but in the end, she doesn't tell anything beside the usual PR-drone talk. very clever at evading the critical questions, too. See how she turned the question if Nintendo can make new IP's for hardcore fans around? I think that 'Nintendo-fans like not being given what we want' a strange statement. In that regard, we'd all be Sony of Microsoft-fans. It's true enough you can't satify everyone, but sure a few new, more substantional IP's wouldn't hurt? Still, it's better than the usual "Check the Nintendo channel for new updates and surprises!" She played Wii Music and enjoyed it? Mindboggling! -
Why would Edge, a UK-based magazine, tease Pikmin 2 NPC when it's already out there? If this if Nintendo and Pikmin-related, it's likely to be Pikmin 3. But looking at those pics... I'm not sure this is Pikmin at all. Guess we'll have to wait and see. Either they know something we don't (officially), or they are speculating.

Looks good, even if it's (partially) prerendered. Even though I really liked the setting of Red Steel, the Yakuza and the japanese setting, I'm glad they don't simply do a 're-run' of RS1. This looks promising. Just hope they don't go over the top and add something supernatural inthere. I wonder. Would this run on a downgraded engine of the latest Prince of Persia? Probably farfetched, but that game was the first that came to mind when I saw the new artstyle. Anyhoo, I wonder just how 'leaked' this traler really is. Call me a conspiracy nut, but maybe it's part of a clever marketing move by Ubisoft. And we all know they are controlled from an underground base where the remains of the Roswell-crash are hidden. Their minds are controlled telepathically because the increase of cellphones makes it possible to 'ride telepathically' to the surface. It's true. It's in the papers.

Well, there are several truths is that thread alright, but I'm too nice to say them in public. One of those truths involve "obvious inferioritycomlex" and "Caps Lock". Anyway, I say: lock and ignore. Be done with it. If it weren't for the fact it's so sad it's funny, I'd not even be spending time writing this.

Oh, yes. Oh, yes. Oh, a million times yes. If one of these two ever come out (however unlikely) and live up to their legacy, I can die a happy games. Well, after playing the titles, ofcourse. It's be pretty pointless otherwise. It's only a shame they forgot Luigi's Mansion at the top. Must be a misprint or something.

So. 'Fife'. And once again it is proven what a wonderful educational and creative tool the World Wide Web can be. Too true, too true. I'm amazed at the prices I see circulating around on this forum, like for Madworld or Wario Land. That's ridiculous (in a good way)! The cheapest games I see around here are €30, €20 at best, and usually for games that deserve that price (with the odd gem like e.g.Boom Blox) Not complaining, though. Where are the times we had to pay up to (and sometimes exceeding) 4000 Belgian francs (that's about €100, math-lovers) for a copy of Turok for the N64. Even around the SNES-era, third-party-games were usually priced at around 3200 BF (€80). Anyhoo, it's sweet to see some on this forum instead of ranting, bashing and general fanboyism.

There is always a chance of that, but I'm happy guns are secondary, personally. I hope this is what will set it apart from other FPS's. Pray they don't screw up the swordsplay, then. But since they are using MotionPlus, they got to have something special up their sleeves. Right? ...Right?
