At least Torterra can say that it played a big role in the Detective Pikachu movie. I did manage to find a Salandit btw and the very first one I found was a female... I am seriously doubting that it's a low percentage female rate because the exact same thing happening in Pokemon Moon when I was actively seeking one to add to my in-game team. Haven't played for a few days though.

Started to wind down on the amount of time spent on this game now. I've beaten the post game storyline now so all that's really left to do is try to rank up in the Battle Tower and grind for BP. This is along with my traditional post game goal of training my entire team up to Level 100 but I feel that this is extremely easy to do now with EXP Candies so my focus will be on evolving all the Pokemon I've caught and helping to fill out the pages of the Pokedex. Also trying to find a Salandit but they seem to be extremely difficult to find in this game, never mind the fact that I would have to get a Female one from the wild. Or just catch the first one and mass breed for a Female Salandit which I suppose is always an option, since this is a post game capture to fill the dex rather than a member for my in-game team. Though, speaking of that I am trying to catch Pokemon that were on in-game teams in previous games and nickname them as the "Jr" or "2" of those Pokemon. They have the exact same movesets as the previous or at least close as possible to them with some improvements where necessary and they are taking up some of the boxed team slots. Which is why I want to try and get a Salandit.

The reason they are revealing the evolutions now is that the Sword and Shield TCG set is out in Japan this weekend. Because of the way the card game works, Grookey, Scorbunny and Sobble were going to have their evolutions in the main set and judging what happened in Sun and Moon, the Theme Decks related to the new set will be based around the starters. Except, if they are shown in their final evolutions it makes them being cover cards more appealing. It would have been nice to leave it a bit longer for those who hadn't seen yet, but as we all know Pokemon is a multi media franchise and the TCG is very important to the Pokemon Company because of how much money can be made from all the sets without necessarily having a large installed player base so they have to keep supporting that.

I have not bothered to properly organise my boxes since Gen 4. With each new Pokemon game that comes around my interest in naming the boxes and organising them has become less and less. I used to have a "Pokemon League" box on Pearl where I created my own version of the Pokemon League and I also used to have general naming themes for the boxes but stopped doing that long ago. Maybe I should start it again as of this generation.

HDM progressing at a good pace at the moment. They've just got to the North and introduced Lee Scourseby who so far has to be one of the best characters in the show. Lin Manuel Miranda definitely gave a good account of this character in his debut episode. Also like how the stakes are building and it seems they aren't leaking into book 2 too much anymore to continue the story as we get into the meat of Northern Lights.

Anyone up for a in-game team battle? I've got about an hour period or so from when I'm posting this when I can record battle footage on Elgato.

I'm actually grinding up my team for that just now. Tried to catch it earlier but Zacian absolutely destroyed my team so I felt like the 5 level deposit was too much. Grinding up to his level so that my Pokemon don't get wiped out in one shot. Shield players may have a better time with trying to have a team that lives against Zamazenta because Zacian's already powerful attack gets boosted by it's own ability so no wonder my team got destroyed.

I'm up for recording any battles I have online using Elgato and posting them on here when I get the chance. Will need to set up the Switch for such recording beforehand though.

I'd be up for these Champion Battles. Just started doing the post-game myself but I stuck to a defined team of 6 throughout most of the game. Keep in mind though that I'm sharing the Switch with another player and may not have it available in the evenings so much as they are still playing the single player game (with a sheer determination not to be overlevelled to the point that there's a rotating party of about 9-12 Pokemon or so) and recently beat the 6th gym. I've often ended up playing during the daytime.

Btw, if anyone is looking for specific TRs I've noticed that specific dens will always contain a certain type of Pokemon. So if you keep throwing Wishing Pieces into that den then you will keep getting Pokemon of that type and give you multiple chances to get certain TR moves. For instance, I'm looking for the Close Combat TR so I threw my Wishing Pieces into a den that I knew spawned Fighting type Pokemon. I wasn't able to get the Close Combat TR from it but I did manage to get Superpower and Body Press from it so I taught those moves to my Sirfetch'd and Corviknight. I really would prefer Close Combat over Superpower though because the latter has the attack drop but it was still serviceable enough. I have beaten the game btw now, final team in spoilers:

So I'm in Wyndon now. I also ended up being massively overlevelled due to my OCD of wanting to get the best movesets possible and also have everyone be exactly the same level as each other. Whoops...

So I finally managed to catch a wild Ditto in a Max Raid Battle. Guess that'll have to take up permanent residence in the Day C... I mean Nursery. Going to start putting the Gym Leader battle videos in spoiler boxes as they are obviously later in the game material.

Actually, I've come to like all the Team Yell related music in this game.
