  1. something something something something
  2. Platinum get, suck it @Hero-of-Time
  3. Just been reading the same, definitely a bit concerning. I'm honestly surprised Nintendo didn't do the same following the Switch 2 Direct last week and the GCN NSO announcement, but I'm sure that'll come if/when they find a way to add DS/Wii to the service. I also suppose they could only have so much bad/confusing news come out following that Direct and didn't want to pile on Luckily for me, I did just re-up for another year the other day. The decision to buy a couple of PS Now subs ahead of the new PS+ launch a few years ago has continued to pay off for me – being grandfathered in from PS Now, I've been getting (and continue to get) a hefty discount on the annual Premium sub for a couple of years now, which is only costing me £64.99 (vs £119.99 RRP, and is just a fiver more than Essential for 12 months, so a total no-brainer). I could definitely make more use of it, mind you...
  4. Further clarification from another Nintendo spokesperson on the whole Switch 2 Edition on a physical cart ordeal: Welp, okay, so now we're back to Nintendo published games having Switch 2 Editions included on cart, but third-parties get to choose how they handle things – and they could keep it separate. And considering how all of them seem so onboard with having full games on cart and aren't at all being cheapskates with their physical releases at launch, surely they'll have their potential Switch 2 Editions completely on cart too, right? I'll be honest, I think Nintendo have in recent history been pretty on point with their level of communication. So why they decided to jumble up their own sentences and not proofread their own small print, not come forth with the console pricing in the Switch 2 Direct, the fairly messy state of Nintendo Store invites, the abysmal state of Switch 2 Edition covers and the box size/banner, etc., is beyond me. I swear we've spent more time this last week since the Direct clarifying their spotty communication than we have actually talking about the games and the console itself, which is pretty insane! Not to mention the conversation already being about pricing due to the raised physical vs digital prices and the price increase across the board for next-gen titles, and this perfectly escalating into the whole tariffs mess delaying pre-orders going live in some territories. What a mess. I'm curious to see if they do anything by the end of the month to bring the conversation back squarely to the games and the system, or if they're happy to just ride things out and watch on with a bucket of popcorn like the rest of us. Though, I guess they at least told us in the Direct itself what was at launch. Still can't believe PlayStation didn't do that for the PS5 and left it to Twitter and Geoff Keighley...
  5. Well, that was a bit of a nightmare. Initial link I found was to the US PS Direct which had a queue, then it was the UK PS Direct which didn't, added to cart, re-added my home address, attempted checkout...like 20 times (sue me, I want it!). Running the risk of accidentally living the life of a scalper if 21 copies showed up, I tried on PC and it worked first time. Typical. Anyways, looks lovely, was planning to play both back-to-back in the summer now after Season 2 of the show finishes airing and while I don't think I'll crack this open, it has delayed my hunt of Part I's Firefly Edition and Part II's WLF Edition... ...for now
  6. It's obviously that leaker Yuji Horii bringing it up all the time in meetings so he doesn't have to figure out the logistics of a Chrono Trigger remake
  7. Hard to put it in a TLOU thread when there are several...so anyways, The Last of Us Complete has been announced. I didn't pick up the controller and this Collector's Edition coming July 10th does look lovely... Currently in the queue...
  8. Another super solid Triple-i Initiative. Nothing grabbing me in particular– Tears of Metal, SacriFire and Over the Hill were already wishlisted - but the Katana Zero DLC trailer was a cool note to end on, Deep Rock Galactic Rogue Core would probably be my thing if my group had tried out the base game (whoops), ReMatch footage was pretty cool, Duskfade looks VERY PS2 and so I imagine might be of interest to @Hero-of-Time and @drahkon Looking forward to seeing what they bring together for next year's show!
  9. Katana Zero DLC is still coming, and it's still going to be free. Mental how long it has been since it was announced, but it looks great. Still really need to pick up and play Katana Zero... *adds to list*
  10. Sure thing... Wait, were we trying to summon an invite for a GCN NSO controller or an Eldritch god?
  11. Oof, I hadn't even noticed that, I just assumed that they jumped the gun but had used an image of the GCN NSO controller. What's crazier is that you can still see this with a quick Google search (though the link now returns a 404 error): Oh dear But how else are they supposed to know that I'm committed to them being my next corporate overlord?
  12. Well, have a guess at what I'm still waiting on... Tomorrow, right? Surely? Do find it a bit strange that my previous NES, SNES and N64 NSO controller purchases from the Nintendo Store aren't helping me out here, but whatever As with the GCN NSO controller, I'm pretty sure that you only need the invite to pre-order a Switch 2 via the Nintendo Store to purchase the microSD Express cards from there, as the wording used is the same: It is strange that it's locked behind an invite, though, considering that these microSD Express cards are available elsewhere (such as via SanDisk themselves, and ShopTo like you mentioned). Makes me a bit nervous about my ShopTo pre-order for the card considering that they also had GCN NSO controllers up at first, clearly not understanding that they were Nintendo Store exclusive, but whereas NSO controllers have always remained Nintendo Store exclusive, the officially Nintendo-branded microSDs for the Switch are available elsewhere too. Guess we'll need to wait and see
  13. Season 3 (aka Part II Part 2) has been confirmed: I mean this was obviously coming, but can you imagine if they just left it at half an adaptation?
  14. The first item on Nintendo Store UK relating to the Switch 2 to sell out is... ...the new Pro Controller?!
  15. New animated backgrounds being added to the Welcome Hub: So now we're getting backgrounds for Yōtei before a release date/window...
  16. Xbox's Not-E3 Event kicks off at 18:00 BST on Sunday 8th June with the Xbox Games Showcase, which will be followed by The Outer Worlds 2 Direct. Full press release. Persona 4 Remake time?
  17. Guess I'll get to find out how far down the list I am after all
  18. Seen a couple of people mention that they've had invites to pre-order from the Nintendo Store today after not receiving an invite in the initial wave. The initial wave of invites are valid from 8th April (yesterday) to 11th April (Friday). So it might be worth keeping an eye on your emails in the coming days if you're holding out for a Nintendo Store pre-order (be it for the console or GCN NSO controller) as you might be getting an invite!
  19. This Switch 2 version of the game will have cross-progression compatible with other platforms: Great stuff!
  20. Applicable to both this news and the Universal announcement, so I'll post it here Heck yeah, congrats to both you and your partner, Dcubed!! Hope this summer is an extra relaxing and restful one for you guys ahead of the awesome third player coming your way!!
  21. Did I miss something or did you just shadow-announce a little D⁴?
  22. Mentioned before by @BowserBasher that it was in early planning: Universal have now announced that they will be building a park in Bedford. (BBC News article if anyone wants to give it a read). The park is set to open in 2031. Construction aiming to start in 2026: Also felt relevant: No word on whether or not a Super Nintendo World will be included from what I can see, so I imagine it won't be planned for opening – but surely it would only be a matter of time, right?
