  1. Dang. Ben Affleck moved up by WB to executive producer on Zack Snyder's Justice League Part One to give him "support".
  2. Kevin Feige has gone on record as saying that they are most committed to a Black Widow solo movie outside of the slated movies. Probably won't be until the next phase (after 2019/20) or until 2020 at the earliest, but it's about time!
  3. Very interested to know: how do you rank the Marvel Cinematic Universe movies? For me it goes: 1. Civil War (needs another watch mind, but I'll leave that until after my exams) 2. The Winter Soldier 3. Iron Man 4. Guardians of the Galaxy 5. The Avengers 6. Ant-Man 7. Age of Ultron 8. The First Avenger 9. Thor 10. The Dark World 11. The Incredible Hulk 12. Iron Man 3 13 Iron Man 2
  4. Well, my philosophy teacher will be happy tomorrow!
  5. Well, I'm a Zelda fan, but it's not my favourite Nintendo franchise, nor am I interested in seeing the game ruined for me. I'd much rather watch a 5-minute recap video on any features that come out during the stream. Well, looks like we're getting a Sun and Moon blowout in CoroCoro, right? Right?! Wouldn't be too surprised if Pokémon held their own livestream or dropper a trailer that day. Nintendo needs to do something. Anything. Literally having people cut out a paper Mario would make this better.
  6. Well, I'd like to see them reference the comics with the titles (and not Thanos, unless it's via his race). Infinity Gauntlet is very similar to how this arc will play out, and he'll have to get the gems in the first film, and I'd imagine it would end with him getting the gem from Vision. That would be a pretty dark cliffhanger. I think keeping Infinity War makes sense, simply because the title card looks awesome, and it follows the Gauntlet story too, in the comics. So yeah, I'm sticking to: Avengers: Infinity Gauntlet and Avengers: Infinity War As for where they go after Thanos? I hope that the F4 come over to the MCU in Phase Four, with the stories being much more personal in the space inbetween. The next film in the Spidey trilogy (?) should be Peter coming to terms with any possible deaths in the team and doing poorly at school as a result, and this I feel would also be the perfect time to introduce Venom, or at least the symbiote, into his arc. Basically, become much more personal stories with each character. Big Bad? Well, they have Dormammu, who's more than a Strange villain, and if they get the F4 rights they could go down the path of Kang or even Galactus. And what about the Raft? I'd assume the villains would escape from there...heck, we could have the Secret Wars if and when they decided to go again with the Inhumans movie. Osborne i think could be a Stark competitor/rival, and it'll be interesting to see if he's introduced in passing in Homecoming, along with Harry.
  7. Ahem According to director Dean Israelite, the costumes are actually “translucent extraterrestrial armor that crystallizes around their bodies.” He continues: "Ours is an alien costume that grows on them, that’s not man-made. You can’t win everyone over, but we are trying to appeal to a more mature audience and gain new fans.” Instantly kind of less interested.
  8. Normally I'd agree, but then again, this is Zack Snyder. He would have known that they wanted a two and a half hour film at most, as this would be the most financially and commercially viable (though, then again, it was Batman vs Superman and many would sit through three hours plus just for that very reason). He also did the exact same thing with Watchmen, and many agree that the best version was his own cut, but it was much longer than the cinematic release. I don't know if he'd want to include all the JL characters so prominently as he did (still miffed that there weren't any ACTUAL Easter eggs that weren't thrown in our faces), but even the fight sequence seems like it had been cut down a lot. If hope. "BvS" and they fight for all of eight minutes? AND it's a walkover?
  9. Well, and all Madrid final...again. Feels kind of underwhelming. Atletico have actually had a really good season by their standards, level on points with Barça in La Liga and now into the Champions League final. On the other hand, Real being there seems...underwhelming. I mean, they were having a very poor season but are now one point behind Barça and Atletico in La Liga and are into the CL final with the chance to win it an 11th time. It feels strange. This one is going to be VERY heated. Hoping Atletico pull it off...
  10. The currently slated Infinity War Part I, due for release Friday 4th May 2018, and Infinity War Part II are due for title changes, according to the Russo brothers. Calling it now: Avengers: The Infinity Gauntlet and Avengers: Infinity War/The Infinite Titan
  11. No problem! Glad to be of help:) Definitely planning to see this again at least once more in cinemas
  12. Feel like updating this with some key news from the last few weeks: • CW opens internationally to raving reviews and $202.2 million • Inhumans is shelved • We're getting a Daredevil spinoff Netflix series; Punisher UPDATE: a word on a Namor film from Civil War co-writer Steve McFeely; "Namor. He is kind of a jerk and has a chip on his shoulder and he is a king and lives underwater. The degree of difficulty is so high, though. Cause it could be a great movie or it could be truly terrible." This sounds excellent! I mean, could this be one of their 2020 releases? Who knows! But what better way to recoup after a massive thing like Infinity War than to have Namor attack the land, requiring the remaining Avengers to have to come together once again?
  13. I'm aware now, just didn't update my post (made the day of the announcement). And agreed about Smith, he's got no good reason to do it.
  14. Oh gosh, what's happening...?!
  15. Well, today could well and truly be the day. As an avid Chelsea fan, I'm hoping we put a smile on Leicester fans' faces tonight and wipe that smirk off some of the Spurs fans'. Chelsea 2 - 1 Tottenham
  16. Pre-ordered Civil War, Deadpool and Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice blu-rays
  17. Let's get into it! What do you think the future of film holds? What are your predictions for future films (in terms of content and box office)? What will be the "next big thing" (a la 3D) in the film industry? Will the comic book movie genre really go the way of the Western? What's the next big movie genre going to be? Which of the upcoming planned years in film do you think could be the highest grossing? Will Fox and Marvel ever come to an agreement? Will Star Wars go on for the rest of time? Will we ever get another Police Academy film?!
  18. Jungle Book was excellent! Civil War was possibly the best MCU film to date! Disney master race?
  19. Seth Grahame-Smith has departed as director of the upcoming DCEU entry The Flash due to creative differences with WB (and likely Snyder). There is reportedly an increasing amount of pressure on Snyder from the execs due to the somewhat disappointing critical and commercial acclaim of BvS, and an even bigger rumour now is that Aquaman director James Wan could be next to leave the DCEU. The beginning of the end?
  20. That's the best entry into the MCU to date, by miles upon miles upon miles. Nothing to say, apart from that if you haven't seen this film, do yourself a favour and go see it. And then go see it again. I was very, very nervy about the concept of the Infinity War films a month or two ago; now I know that they couldn't be in better hands. And, oh,
  21. Simple strokes for simple folks I guess?
  22. Yeah, that's the American spelling. Like colour becomes color, centre becomes center... perhaps the guys we sent over initially weren't the best when it came to spelling On another note, I'm all for the IP; I just fail to see how it would help shift consoles in a way the presence of another big Nintendo property would have. But FINALLY we get something else original, I remember it had been a LOOOOOONG time coming when Splatoon came around. Let's hope they don't disappoint.
  23. Great for Retro to be making a new IP. But this only further weakens the NX launch from where I'm standing, because regardless of how good the game could turn out to be, it won't sell like a home console Metroid game would.
  24. Okay, so I haven't seen the film, I do so tomorrow night with my friends. But I'm watching TWS and I've had a massive coin drop which no-one has mentioned before in any speculation, at least to the best of my knowledge. This could be a spoiler, so
