  1. Well, in that case, wouldn't it be cool if [insert everything I've repeated too many times on this single thread to be proud of and what I can no longer get out of my head].
  2. I was referring to the fact that things outside the tent poles, your lower budget films, are being pushed aside. As a business it makes sense, but they've had recent success in the mid/low budget areas: Creed, The Intern and Midnight Special, for example. It's bad for the industry in general. As for average drop off...I'm not too sure. A near 70% drop was steeper than many expected from opening weekend to second, and it'll be lucky if it's making over $10 million in three weekends time.
  3. This would be a small step up from an Action Adventure like PokéPark. Unreal Engine 4, trainer customisation, MMORPG traits, Bank compatible, open world, "choose your path"...
  4. First major comic book movie to delve into the realm of magic. And, I mean...Benedict Cumberbatch, Chiwitel Ejiofor, Mads Mikkelsen and Rachel McAdams...
  5. Squirtle Skwaaaaaad Master RACE Of course it wouldn't be a monthly pay-to-play!
  6. I don't recall anyone saying this was going to be a main series game? Swear I've already said that...
  7. ...In the early hours of an English morning. Unlike with The Force Awakens 'final' trailer, I won't be getting up at 3AM in the morning, but I definitely look forward to waking up and seeing it!
  8. The Batman I couldn't be more excited for, a Man of Steel sequel though, I'm not too sure about. It depends. A certain event in BvS could see this Superman become lighter in tone and more like the man in the comics. The other bit of news is that Wonder Woman had moved up three weeks to June 2nd 2017.
  9. My post from yesterday: And today's big news: Two new DC films added to the slate, for October 5th 2018 and November 1st 2019 respectively. Told you I'm Batman
  10. Yeah, absolutely. I'm hoping that with the growth of Yokai Watch, in Japan especially, Pokémon can snap out of that rinse and repeat stuff and try something new and spectacular. Kind of what I hope Sun and Moon to be (past game references and nostalgia galore, to some extent, whilst still being true to itself as a new pair of games), but at home and better looking.
  11. My hand is dipped in the pot saying they should totally do it - but not as a replacement for the main series games. Perhaps a simultaneously releasing home console game, but I'd rather it be totally separate, so a new region, a handful of new, game-exclusive Pokémon (you have to try every way you can to sell units, right?) and such is what I'd rather see, compatible via Bank to the portable games. So kind of like a pseudo-main game. Eh...they know it's nowhere near as big as it used to be. I mean, that's not even half of what RBG sold.
  12. Almost every way you look at this, this is not a good thing.
  13. Open world, Bank compatible, MMORPG on Unreal Engine 4 with customization, game-exclusive Pokémon (at most we're talking like thirty or so) and the like, possibly even with the choose your route system implemented in games such as Knights of the Old Republic?
  14. well of course, all being avid Pokémon fans, we'd suddenly be around £80 lighter... It did work with Smash Bros rather well, actually, though I don't own either game and think that one kind of becomes weaker due to not having the same faculties as the other. Perhaps buying one version could get you a discount when purchasing the other through My Nintendo?
  15. I find the idea of a portable and home console release kind of sketchy, if what your outlining is for the same game. I mean, it would sell well, but I doubt people would buy it twice on both platforms (like with the LEGO game franchise). Though, that brings up something interesting. What about we finally get an auto-save feature offered to us?
  16. Please could you outline all of your qualms with such a game? Because I struggle to see why "it shouldn't be done". Also, for those interested, you can find the poll here

  18. http://goo.gl/DJjXDn Made a poll which I'm now looking to get around the fans. Pretty simple. Would you or wouldn't you purchase an open world, MMORPG, Bank compatible beautiful (Unreal Engine 4) home console Pokémon game? This thread has seriously raised the question, and I'm interested to see what everyone thinks.
  19. Not yet. Let's hope it doesn't get to that stage. But, I mean, look at the main series figures. They're hard to ignore: First entries into a generation - Millions of units sold RBY - 31.38 GS - 23.10 RS - 16.22 DP - 17.63 BW - 15.6 XY - 14.46 Sure, 2 million down in ten years across four generations. But only DP has ever gone against that, and I mean, by generation (so, including third versions/sequels and remakes), things look a little different I guess: Italics = no remake Gen I (4 game total) - 46.02 - avg.=11.51 Gen II (3 game total) - 29.49 - avg.=9.83 Gen III (5 game total) - 34.54 - avg.=6.908 Gen IV (5 game total) - 37.95 - avg.=7.59 Gen V (4 game total) - 24.12 - avg.=6.03 Gen VI (4 game total?) - 25.92 - avg.=6.48 I guess this just shows once the initial Pokémania hype started to settle, it really settled.
  20. Except with Bank they could transport those Pokémon from home console to portable and vice versa. I don't recall anyone saying that the series would shift from being portable to home only? Can you please define the main issue/s you have with a home console Pokémon game which could potentially revitalise the franchise? I'm intrigued.
  21. Wow that exploded FAST. @Retro_Link great discussion to start. I honestly don't see the problem with a separate open world MMORPG on something like the UE4, using Bank to transport Pokémon between the games. An argument for items could be made, but like I've said, an Item Bank could be implemented which limits users to not having more than one of certain items in a game (such as Master Balls and Legendary specific items), and to transfer items from game to game.
  22. ...a supplementary Bank system for items which limits each game to one of a certain item (such as a Master Ball and your special Legendary specific items, such as the Adamant, Lustrous and Griseous Orbs)?
  23. Okay, okay, not waning. There's just a definite negative correlation in sales which has been apparent since the dawn of the franchise and only challenged by the release of Diamond and Pearl in terms of opening pairs for a generation.
  24. YES BUT @Serebii BANK IS ALREADY PLANNED TO BE MULTIGENERATIONAL AND MULTIPLATFORM!
  25. Honestly if they did it right, I'd be up for a version of this just in Kanto with he original 151 if they wanted to test it. I can see what Serebii means, Pokémon has roots, and by all means should stick to the portable side of gaming - but with waning sales figures Pokémon needs to do something outrageously righteous for the fans and themselves (MMORPG open world on UE4. Pretty please?).
