Donkey Kong Country Returns... Returns!
welsh_gamer replied to Retro_Link's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Enjoying this version very much, I've put my Wii copy up on eBay. Reached the third world earlier today, but I'm trying to resist playing as I was trying to keep this as my public transport game, but I really want to reach those new levels! -
Ha ha, no I've still not started it, but you'll be pleased to know that after that Arrested Development binge yesterday, I'm going to finally start on Breaking Bad tonight! BSG will be next, I promise!
-
Down to £24.85 now!
-
This is out Friday. Launch trailer :- Looks like they've put some effort into using the gamepad.
-
No... a sequel has not been announced, just wanted to point out that this is £13.74 delivered at BlockBuster - first time I've seen it reduced online, and I'm sure there were quite a few here waiting for a price cut!
-
Went on a eShop shopping spree after getting my XL today :- Anyone else played Aero Porter? It get's difficult very fast!
-
3DS XL finally arrived ... Comfortable, light and no yellow tint on the nice big screens - LOVE IT! Obligatory photo :- Transfer was nice and simple, took around 30 minutes. SD transfer didn't work on the first attempt but worked fine on the second, phew!
-
Also the ZombiU bundle for £174.99 Crazy!!

Coming soon? Came across the following link at Nintendo's homepage, which included this boxart :- http://www.nintendo.co.uk/Games/Wii-U/Wii-Fit-U-592631.html#

Monster Hunter Ultimate 3DS OR Mario Kart 7?
welsh_gamer replied to flameboy's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Mario Kart 7 - Much better than the Wii version, a great selection of tracks and lots of fun online. Only thing that's missing is the Mission Mode from the DS version. Other suggestions:- Resident Evil: The Mercenaries - Very addictive and it has online multiplayer. Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Shadow Wars - If you enjoy Fire Emblem and Advance Wars you should defintley check it out. -
Finally about to join the XL club - ordered the Blue model from Amazon a moment ago! If I go out this weekend, it'll be my last trip with my original model
-
Retail : Sonic Racing Transformed - If you haven't got it on your 360, it's currently £7.99 at HMV. Very good kart racer. LEGO City Undercover - Lot's of fun and will take a good 15 hours to finish story mode, and many more hours to 100% by exploring the whole city. ZombiU - Solid campain mode, and some on the forums have played it through several times. Black Ops 2 - The online isn't perfect, but it offers multiple controls schemes and you and a friend can play online at the same time from your own home on seperate screens. Injustice Gods Among Us - Accessible fighter with plenty to keep you busy. Need for Speed Most Wanted U - Best version of the game, hours or fun. E-Shop :- Download Bit Trip Runner 2, Nano Assault Neo and Zen Pinball 2 (there's a sale this week on Marvel tales) for addictive gameplay and high score challenges. You can also currently grab the NES version of Kirby's Adventure for 30 pence, and don't forget the FREE Rayman Challenges app.
-
Nope, and it doesn't look like I'll be near a HMV now until the the 13th now. Sorry!
-
Add ZombiU or Just Dance 4 for £20 - discount is applied at the final stage of the checkout.
-
Yes, there are plenty of vehicles and characters to unlock by exploring the city in more detail, but it does seem difficult to keep track of what you've got and what you haven't. Personally I have no incentive to go after them in this version, my copy is already on eBay
-
So just finished story mode, with just under 5 and a half hours on the clock. That was disappointingly short

The Avengers Chronicles Pack is perfect for both beginners and experts. There's plenty of variety and two of them are pretty easy to keep the ball going on and rack up a good score. The Vengeance and Virtue pack is a bit more tough, but again all four tables are great, but they can take some time to get used too. The standalone Captain America and Fantastic Four are also worth buying, they include a lot of fun missions.
-
Get the Vengeance and Virtue pack as well if you can, then you'll have all the great Marvel tables. You don't really need the 'Original' pack, as you have half those tables on 3DS already, plus the other two ain't that good according to feedback. Same. It doesn't look like they will arrive on or by May the 4th, as I had hoped.
-
Zen Pinball 2 sale this week :- All great, apart from Civil War - avoid that one! Will be double dipping on tables I already have on 3DS this Thursday.

Spent a few hours with the game so far. It's okay, pretty average. Having played the Wii U version, the city does lack some character due to the pop ups, fog and lack of people on the streets, and as there's not much music or spoken dialogue outside the main cut scenes, the games does feel a bit empty. Missions are much simpler and shorter too, and as a result feel a bit more repetitive than usual. Children should enjoy it, but adults should seek out the Wii U version if they can

Sonic All Stars Racing Transformed £7.99 at all HMV stores. NBA 2K13 £14.98 online at Zavvi

New 3DS Deal - Register 3 games, get one new game!
welsh_gamer replied to Serebii's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Wow, what a great promotion. I expected this to be another buy a XL get a free game deal, but this is better! Got codes for Fire Emblem and Luigi's Mansion, and will be getting LEGO City later in the week too, so will probably go for Donkey Kong, as it's the only title from the list I haven't got, that I won't sell after completing it. Btw, If anyone's struggling for a second or third game, keep an eye out on prices for Castlevania, LEGO and Pokemon Dungeon, as they're the only one's I think that are likely to drop in price, so you could buy, play and sell them if you want, and bag some codes -
I'd image it probably won't be on sale until at least the end of Summer, and only reduced by £2 - £3, so you might aswell get it now. Don't forget that Mutant Mudds and Gunman Clive are still on sale, and worth every penny IMO, if you're looking for something else instead of Harmoknight  I'm gonna take a chance on Aero Porter this week - hard to say no at that price!
