Runner 2: Future Legend of Rhythm Alien
welsh_gamer replied to Retro_Link's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Sure you're dancing enough? Try each stage on Easy and Hard mode to see which gives you the most points. You can dance longer on easy levels, but more obstacles to jump over on hard. Avoid going over the checkpoint to get some extra points, and always take the harder route when you come to a junction. I've spent a good 10 - 15 hours with the game since Thursday, and that's mostly been spent perfecting the first 2 worlds. Defintley one of my favourite Eshop titles, along with Zen Pinball 2 and Nano Assault Neo! -

... and I'm done too. Just over 44 hours on the clock. Game only froze for me once, on my last playthrough funnily enough, but I did encounter 2 glitches where I had to reset the console. Really enjoyed exploring the game's world, finding all those hidden items. Hope they go for the Pirates or Castle theme if there's going to be a follow up, but I'd still be happy with another City.

Yeah, I download a bunch of puzzles every fortnight or so. They are really enjoyable : peace: Wonder if the 6th game will get a fast translation, or might we see Phoenix Wright Vs Layton fill the potential gap in the market at the end of the year here in Europe?

Yeah, sometimes his voice reminds me of the minions from Despicable Me. Also the green ghosts, sound like Mr Blobby at times!

Spent an hour with this last night, just doing the first 2 missions. SO good. One annoying thing, the sound effects decided to turn themselves off halfway through the first mission, so I had to reset the game after completion. Hopefully this glitch won't happen again!

Saw one at the cinema before Jack the Giant Slayer on Monday. Mentioned it was exclusive to Wii U, which is always good. - Currently on chapter 10 or 11, so I think I'm nearing the end. Love the script, it's funnier than the majority of Hollywood's recent comedies, but the gameplay hasn't blown me away. Personally I'm looking forward to unlocking all the disguises so I can search for everything in the city and in freeplay mode.

No that was GAME exclusive. Will be playing my copy, once it get's dark!
-
It's the other way around. A £15 gift card gives you 1700 or 1800 Wii points.
-
Can't use that on 3DS or Wii U I'm afraid, only the latest prepaid credit/gift cards - Noticed today that you can actually hit the musical instruments in the background Roll on Thursday!

Was a bit dissapointed with this yesterday, when playing on the telly. Was crashing so much, getting lost often and ranked last in almost every event. Moved to the Gamepad and I'm hooked! My performace improved instantly and it's much easier knowing where you're going with the screen inches from your face!

£26.98 at TheHut with discount code 'REC10'. -
Anyone know if the later stages require the stylus? Wasn't gonna download it, so I could focus on Luigi's Mansion, but if the games just use's button, it could become my public transport entertainment.

Previous LEGO game have been easy, but playing them are always enjoyable, plus going for 100% by collecting everything can be challenging.

The Amazing Spider-Man: Ultimate Edition
welsh_gamer replied to Retro_Link's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Started this today, it's good fun. Feels like a light hearted Arkham City as combat is basically the same, there are stealth takedowns and a lot of air vents to explore etc, but with less polish and immersion than Rocksteady's game. Playing on the gamepad, there was a LOT of screen tearing during the first chapter but it seems to have settled down now. -
Someone posted on Miiverse saying that the game is available online at Argos They've had confimation it's been sent too. Will let you know what they get in the post!
-
Don't forget that the 3DS edition of the game was a retail release in the US, so there's more content than the Wii U version plus there's some extra additional content included too. A search for the retail game on Amazon.com says it includes 32 stages. The Wii U version had 16.

Donkey Kong Country Returns... Returns!
welsh_gamer replied to Retro_Link's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Not the first time an entry in the Donkey Kong series has been ported to a handheld. Will be intresting to see how this one sells. I won't be double dipping.
