Friend Codes, Fruit, Trading and Photo Thread For Animal Crossing
Sméagol replied to Hero-of-Time's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Open right now. But not for long, though I can re-open later, but you'll miss the shops. Celeste on her favourite spot on the hill top right. Kicks and Mables selling Halloween stuff. Buy candy at Nooks. Chops making wooden-know wall Would love it if you water the 2 blue roses I have near the plaza! Edit: Oh and another villager birthday coming up the 24th. I'll post here that day. -
It's weird. It had a totally non-Star Trek vibe, but I really liked it. Felt a bit like a pilot for a new show rather than season 3. But with some Star Trek stuff in it. Also gave me some vague Mass Effect vibe. But could be because they 're just setting up. Obviously they'll be back in space at some point, with ship & crew and all. Also felt better because they focused on one story line, one of the few things bothering me is they like to juggle 2 story lines in the same episode. But again, could be because it's the season opener and they need to set up stuff. Anyway, loved crazy burnham. Wouldn't mind if they gave her more of that stuff haha. And hilarious to see a new

Super Mario Maker 2 challenge - June challenge has started!
Sméagol replied to Sméagol's topic in Nintendo Gaming
No. It's been brought up before, and my answer is the same. The whole idea of this challenge was inspired by these 1 hour levels. The whole point is to build a level with a set theme, in a short time. Originally I was going to suggest a deadline of 1 weekend, as I wanted a quick turnaround, but I thought this was too much to ask, and some people may be busy, so that's why I went with a little over a week. You really don't need more time to create a level than that. And if you happen to be busy for that whole period, that's ok, you can skip a week. Obviously it's disappointing to see fewer entries, but the solution to that would be to have more people entering, not extending the deadline. I'm 99% convinced extending the deadline is not going to help, and is in fact only going to be detrimental, as people have 1 week longer to totally forget about the challenge in the first place. Momentum will be lost completely. I mean I'm at fault for that as well, as I should post the challenges on time etc. But it's safe to say if you can't create a level within a little over a week, it's probably not going to happen within 2 weeks either. I mean, what I can do, is have the challenge start on Friday, so you have a guaranteed 2 full weekends to create a level, which should be more than enough. But that's as far as I'm willing to go. -

Whoo! Default vote! Yeah, just a progressive super acorn. I used it because I thought it would be funny for other players (not expecting a super acorn level) to go "wtf" for a second before the super acorn drops out. It also has implications for speedrunning, as I make normal players wait ( ), but speedrunners just need to wait for the mushroom. In fact you don't need the super acorn at all to play the level, although you will need to damage boost. And yeah, glad you found the NE room eventually haha. -

I 'll post the code and a trailer tomorrow, but I finally uploaded it, so you know where to find it. Another simple straightforward level. Though I have indeed never used the super acorn, it still had its exclamation mark (denoting it was new). Must be the last one. -

Ah, do seeds always have the same colour? In other words, do I need to plant other seeds? I haven' noticed if they grew the same colour pumpkins each time, but that would explain it. Also, I forgot to mention, but: Same for me then! Except, much, much worse! Oh and another thing I forgot to mention: It's chops birthday tomorrow. I'll make sure to be open somewhere in the (late) evening. And apparently, there's another birthday coming up! @BowserBasher -

Got the painting, thanks! And bought some candy. I still have a real flowery painting by the way, if anyone wants that (and a fake amazing painting). Also, it seems I can only grow 3 colours of pumpkins (I believe there are 4?). if anyone wants to trade somewhere towards the end of the season.. I have the normal orange, yellow, and white. -

Would love one! Can you open after 21:00 CEST? It's the Hokusai / wavy painting right? -
I've googled it, and I'm pretty sure I've used proboards for all the mafia games I've hosted and played. And while I've never set up a discord server, I'm pretty sure it would work for mafia talk. So that's not a problem. But like I said, it's a useful exercise for me, and another excuse to use my pi. I've actually already made a mafia forum in the past. Game logic wasn't implemented apart from voting, and it was also missing some basic forum features, but was far more complete than what I had for this, which was extremely basic. But those files are on my dead computer, so I can't currently access them. Anyway. Doesn't change the fact that my computer is dead.

My point exactly. -
Yeah sorry guys, I should have posted this earlier, but I'm infrequently online (or at least on sites like these) last few weeks. Because my computer is dead. Not sure what I'm going to do about it, and when. I'm posting this from my raspberry pi, which I love, but it's not a desktop replacement, and it cries when I have more than 3 tabs open, so I can't imagine modding a game being a comfortable experience in these circumstances. So I'm postponing it indefinitely. Funny enough I was actually going to use my pi, to host custom forums for the mafia members, as a challenge and exercise for myself, as I totally forgot how we dealt with that "back in the day" (on mafiascum where I went afterwards it's integrated in the main forums), but I'm not quite ready to use it to this extent.

I guess I'm the winner I'm late myself so deadline will be tuesday evening. Theme: I want to go out of my comfortzone, (and I suspect yours as well), so I'm going to choose something I've never even used before (not as a builder, and most likely not even as a player). It's the ehh.... I don't even know the name. The squirrel suit in the 3D world theme. That one. No other requirements or restrictions. -

I have a heavy shower today, and Celeste is here (keep in mind it's a new zodiac month, so this is a good time to get everything). I'll be open later tonight, but not sure what time. Could be after 22:00 CEST. Maybe a bit earlier so you can buy candy, but not sure, so keep a tab on this thread. -

Ha. I played all the levels immediately that weekend, after finally uploading mine.. But I was too tired for it. Replayed all of them yesterday. -
This is shit. Didn't even watch the full trailer, and I want my money back. First time I've been disappointed by a character choice..

Also, another thing, I kind of like the way we dealt with a tie, so I'd like to make it an official rule if you guys don't mind. If it's a tie, you decide the theme together. -

@RedShell @Glen-i @Dcubed I guess we we were all a bit less enthousiastic about this one huh? (though I miss @Vileplume2000's entry ) I also haven't posted in a while because I'm having computer problems. I'm voting Glen-i this month. I like how you and Dcubed have similar ideas and s sense of humour. Both going for SMB1 style, but incorporting the SMB2 power-up, which never occurred to me. And little jokes like the trapped bouncing Chomp in Glen-i's level, and the bouncing stack of dry bones in DCubed's. Ultimately, I found Glen-i's level to have the perfect length and pacing, with well placed checkpoints. With DCubed's level, I thought it was a tad too long, and I would have liked the 2nd CP to be before the P-switch jump. I need more testing but I think it also has several softlocks, at least 1. One other thing that's a bit annoying is getting the dryshell. If you miss it you have to re-enter the room to respawn it, it would have been nice to have a pipe there. I love the room otherwise, the bouncing drybines crack me up, and I like how you have to place the trampolines first as a sort of puzzle. There were other smart little things like that that I liked. Wasn't too big a fan of the boss, a bit too hectic. The big chomp was often more a liability than an aid.. And you have to level the seesaw too.. Finally Redshell's level.. That one was a bit too short. I liked the start, seemed like the start of a good traditional level. Then there was the lift section.. Which would have been fine if it wasn't practically the end. I would have liked more after this! But you get straight into the finale.. which was a bit weird, I don't get it. Seems impossible to outrun, but then again, you can just take a hit.. Maybe I missed a secret or something, but it felt a bit anti-climactic As for my level, at one point I wondered if I should just continue the horizontal level structure. At first was adamant at including a vertical section. I forgot why exactly, I think I wanted to do some dryshell jump tricks. There's bit of that there. But I think I enjoyed playing and building the horizontal section more. And I should definitely have added at least 100 seconds to the clock. Got so focussed on speedrunning it that it didn't occur to me before uploading, but it's definitely tight for a casual run. The boss was always going to be there, and spinjumping on chomps was the reason why I wanted to choose chomps as a theme. I actually downplayed that a lot, originally I wanted more and harder sections where you had to bounce on chomps over spikes. -
Finally did it! Annoyingly it was with a "plain" deck. No wraithform or even catalyst shenanigans.
