I've mention in the rmx thread.. I'm not really into pop, with some exceptions.. That is, unless it's foreign. I can, for some strange reason, enjoy some pure pop music when it's in another language, where it's massively popular in its own country, but never (or barely) heard of here. I don't buy many CD's so I'm a bit out of it, and I also barely watch TV nowadays, but few years back, I was up-to-date with album releases of the artists from the Spanish version of Star Academy . I must add that, regarding foreign languages, I only understand English, and German to lesser extent. With French and Spanish, I'm lucky if I get a few words out of it, let alone simple sentences. With that said, some examples in various languages (or no language in 1 case): Chenoa - Todo irá bien One of those Spanish Star Academy stars. Star Academy was huge there at that time. Vicente Amigo - Tres notas para decir te quiero I love flamenco, but since I haven't kept up with it, and I'm bad with names, I don't know a vocal example from the top of my head. But vocals (well lyrics to be precise) aren't necessary for flamenco. Shakira - Inevitable I love Shakira, when she sings Spanish. Wasn't sure what song to embed. Ojos de brujo - Todo tiende Band from Barcelona. They mix flamenco with.. Other stuff. I embedded a song I'm not familiar with, I should get their other albums (I got Barí). Saw them live at North Sea Jazz. Ok, enough with the Spanish. Anggun - Cesse la pluie I got to know her from a electronic jazz track which she did the vocals for (Cam ft Anggun - Summer in Paris if you want to know). I'm certainly not into metal or similar stuff, which the Germans are probably most known, so I'll skip those if you don't mind . I do like Kraftwerk though . Kraftwerk was also what I though of when I first saw this thread, but someone beat me to it :p. Sara Tavares - Balancê More guitar, but now with lovely Portuguese vocals. Sensual - Tique-tim More Portuguese.. Brazilian sound this time.. From The Netherlands?? That's right, this is a Dutch band. Although granted, I should just post a Brazilian example . Ok why not. Fernanda Porto - Sambassim A genuine Brazilian example. Utada Hikaru - Passion Considering my love for other Japanese stuff, I should be more into J-pop, but Ultra blue is the only J-pop album I have. I should remedy that some day. However, he didn't post the original video, which is this one. Which is too awesome, so I've corrected Dazz's mistake. Spinvis - Voor ik vergeet A Dutch example. I mean, it's foreign to you, right? I absolutely despise contempory Dutch music (in the Dutch language that is, things like Marco Borsato. Don't google him for your own sake (and he's not even the worst)). This is the one exception, in my opinion. I like 80's Dutch music though, some great songs from that time. Mylène Farmer - Tristana I'll leave you with a French, melancholic, fiery red-heared woman, who simply must be mentioned in a foreign music thread. I didn't know what song to post, but I wasn't familiar with most of her videos, they can get epic, I've noticed.. So enjoy this 10 minute fairytale (album version obviously isn't that long). If she's doing another tour, I'd love to see her live one day.

I was interested in this, and I think it still looks like good fun.. Still.. I lost a lot of interest when I found out you can't create female characters. It's ridiculous I know.. It's not quite uncommon for FPS multiplayer games not to have female characters (although, even Q3 arena had female characters), perhaps because this game, more than others puts a great emphasis on character customisation, regarding their appearance. Still, looks like one of the more fun FPS multiplayer games at the moment.

I think it also has one of the better looking movieposters I've come across lately: I think I'll go confiscate it from the cinema I work in.

[Going against the trend], I'm creating a thread for a movie which to most of you seems already old probably, but it was just released here in The Netherlands. So for those of you who have yet to see this as well: I thought it was great. It's a drama, but with a slight sci-fi hint to it, which makes it stand out in my opinion. Some of the concepts in this movie are quite disturbing, and could probaby fit in a thriller or even a horror.. But this movie never emphasizes those concepts, instead it deals with the troubled youth of 3 teenagers. Which is why I thought it was great, you go watch a good drama, but when you think about what you've seen, that is when you start getting nauseous . Like I've seen and heard mentioned from various other people, the "kids" playing the younger versions of the 3 main characters, are well cast indeed. I'd also definately like to see more of Carey Mulligan, I wondered where I'd seen her before, but it was Doctor Who apparently, in one of its greatest episodes.

Saw Blue valentine a few days ago. It's a small movie, dealing with the start and end (?) of a love between 2 people. Nothing epic, so probably not for everyone, but I thought it was a nice movie. Some great performances by Michelle Williams and Ryan Gosling, especially as the movie switches to the beginning of their relationship to the end of it, so you see the 2 switching from in love to, well, not in love. Saw another movie, but I think I'll create a thread for it.

That's the problem.. I first intended to wait and see what happened when I maxed out a pin, the.. Slash I believe, but it grew slowly from battles (it actually grows a lot more from not playing the game), and it goes up to level 7. But then I noticed your money could evolve, and they're automatically at max level. So how do you evolve those? I use the slash only to master it by the way, it's not very useful in its current state (a good attack, but can only be used once very few seconds.

Bumping this thread with quotes from the new thread (which is about rumours about the sequel) Like Ellmeister, I finally started this game for real, eventhough I had it since release. I always play for like an hour to see if my purchase is justified, which it is, but I haven't really played it since. But I was in the mood for it now, even before the rumours of a sequel. Anyway, I don't have much to report on my progress.. I'm currently at a boss on chapter.. 3? It's the shark boss, and I haven't been able to defeat it yet, I'll try again later. Then again, I'm adamant at defeating him on level 1.. Maybe I should try it at a higher level . It's a bit annoying though, I have to do the fight before it as well, and skip through the entire conversations once more. They could have put a save option in between. The battle system.. I do think it's fun, but it's hard. I still haven't come to grips with it, at least, that usually what my score after a battle suggests to me. They suggest focussing on one screen at a time, the one with the green bonus multiplier thing, but I find that usually my guy or girl on the other screen gets pummeled. At the moment I try to focus on the screen below, and just mash my dpad for the upper screen, occasionally glancing to see if I mash in the right direction. What's the deal with pin evolution by the way? Or are they going to explain it properly in the game some time later? There's only a vague hint in the menu system, but it's not helping me. I'm curious about it, because I've noticed even your money can evolve.. Why? No CC? You do know [Paypal sucks] sucks right? I deleted my account, only signed up for it to buy some stuff I had no other option of paying for. I was going to suggest Amazon as well, as they have 2 sealed copies for a relatively normal price on offer.

So, I feel like my taste in music generally differs from other Nintendo fans (not just here, in real life as well..), so I generally don't post something music related. It was long ago, when I saw the music video of Armand van Helden - The funk phenomena, when I decided: "yes, I like this." Nowadays, I listen to house, and almost all derivatives (and also stuff that went before it). So all forms of house, techno, electro, and more.. I also listen to soul & jazz, but since we're talking remixes here, that's besides the point. Anyway, if I know a popsong, often it's because I heared a remix. I guarantee I have no idea who Uffie is (to name an example). So.. I was planning on bumping its thread. As for me not analyzing stuff, I explained in the previous game, while I had the chance, that this game doesn't really lend itself well to my analyzing. And yes, I was mafia then, but that doesn't make this less true. The "write-up", in a Gentlemen's mafia, is in the PM's people get. The write-up itself doesn't have much info. Well, there seems to be a bit of info about me.. Apart from that, I think the way the kill is described is significant. I just get the feeling the character may be still alive. Something similar happened in the last game, where our mafia boss spared the life of that notewriter. She may show up in some form or another.

To be honest, if both survive the day, then I'd say they're both valid targets for investigating or roleblocking. Zell still hasn't revealed his power, however, I'm inclined to check out what power Esequiel has. For some strange reason. Rummy: What I've revealed so far is only half of the puzzle.. The people involved should have gotten the clues.

Meh. I don't know why this is a thread. Like other people have already said, there's still a few big hitters (hopefully) coming our way, and like many other people I also have a backlog (I just hooked up my GameCube again..). And the main point, in my eyes, is.. I mean, there must be plenty of you young peoples out there, but grandpa here remembers a time where 5 years was standard. The Wii was great. has quite a nice library to call its own, and yes, the graphics were a disappointment (very generally speaking, as it wasn't a concern for me for most games), but that and more can be remedied by a new machine, which I'm looking forward to. And when I have that machine, it doesn't mean I'll stop playing my Wii. In fact, the only reason why my NES and SNES and N64 aren't hooked up right now, is because I don't really have the place for them.

My lack of response is simply because I don't have anything new to report, and I've been spending more time gaming the last few days (which means less time online), but I don't want to bore you with my progress in Chibi robo, Metroid prime, Second sight, Hotel dusk, and the world ends with you. I'm still here once a day, generally at night, sometimes another time.. You can compare it with my other posts on this board, if you're really bored. I've nothing to add since I've said pretty much all there is to say about me, and nothing of note seem to have happened tonight, so.. I have nothing to post. Except for the Mundi case.. Hmm, I'll review the last few posts some more before, but so far I'm leaning towards not voting him, I don't think it's solid enough, but again, I'll go over the posts once more.

I did very little last night, I got roleblocked, aso I don't have anything to share. My protection is against things that affect other people's abilities, roleblocks and the like, I don't think I'm getting in the way of protection.

I still don't know. I find both their stories to be a bit strange. Esequiel has info that Zell targetd 2 players, but there's no indication of that in the write-up. Possibilities: - Esequiel's lying / still misinterpreting his PM - Zell killed, but could also use his normal ability, potentially caused by the breeze? But then he would be a blue character. - Zell targeted 2 players with his normal ability, someone else killed Ellmeister - Zell targeted Esequiel with his normal ability, Esequiel got redirected to someone who did target Ellmeister & jayseven Zell says he's mr. Game & watch, and only targets 1 person. I think I'd like to know what he does then. I'm leaning towards Zell, but not enough to vote.. I'll leave it for tomorrow.
