does any one know if there is a mac equivalent version of a winzip type programme available? maczip would probably be a wise choice of name.

i have office installed onto mine (didn't cost me £99 though), mainly just for conveinience as when im at uni i might need to change between the university's windows pc's and my mac, its vital that i need to be able to do that. i have msn messenger for mac but its a bit rubbish compared to live messenger so i think im going to get adium or something instead.

ive just bought a macbook its the white, 1.83Ghz model and im very impressed with what it can do so far. i just wondered if any one had any suggestions for apps or programmes that may help me utilize the full potential of my mac. im not looking for any specific programmes, maybe some that are fun or something. or if anyone has useful tips on how to use it properly. this is a bit of a random thread i guess but i might get something useful out of it so any suggestions or advice would be apprechiated. im a mac virgin and need as much help as i can get. thanks for reading.

my first impression of lego star wars II is pretty good i must say. played through the first level on my own and the second level co-op with my brother. its much the same as the original but with longer levels, which is no bad thing. each one took me about 20 minutes to complete as opposed to about five minutes for the first one. the achievements seem pretty fair and spaced out too. just wish it had a live co-op mode. also, the videos in the game are as amusing as ever.

yay! i got lego star wars II from my local gamestation today seems they were being naughty and selling it a few days early. im going to have a play and ill let you guys know what i think a bit later.

weren't radiohead meant to be doing the soundtrack for this or something? im pretty sure i heard that a while back. the movie looks pretty awesome althoguh i dont really understand what its about from just the trailer.

zidane is a legend and always will be but this will be remembered as his low point, it such a shame that his wonderful footballing career had to end like that. also, i feel it has undermined the italian win which isn't really fair. what does everyone think of zidane being awarded the golden ball? some italian guy on channel 4 said that the award should be given to someone else. i think journalists voted at half time for zindane so his award should stand even if he cant control his temper.

france totally deserve to win. the french arent so bad and zidane is a legend so his final match should be legendary too. i dont mind if the italians win it either, but i would prefer france to win. i will buy the shirt of the winning nation and i like the french one better!

i downloaded the chromehounds demo but i havent tried it yet, doesnt sound like im missing out on anything anyway. i got the prey demo too and i found it a bit annoying, it wasnt what i thought it would be really but admitedly i didnt play it for long, im glad i didnt like it though because i cant afford to buy it anyway

i can't really see charles needing any new stylus pens for his DS.

yay! futurama is great. ages away, but it gives me something to look forward to in my otherwise insignificant life.

lego is great. i dont have any of the games, but i, as others do, have a huge box of it somewhere, i may get it out over the summer now. also, i think i will have to crack open the meccano too.

it's microsoft's own game exhibition, like E3 but just for the xbox and xbox 360. new games will be announced and shown and things like that.

yeah, its pretty shit, i looked for it earlier but couldnt find it, i assumed it had been delayed. hope it makes it before the game gets released.

i should be having a good summer this year. i have a holiday abroad at the start of august for 2 weeks (not sure where though), the weekend after that i have V festival, then the weekend after that i have the leeds festival! can't wait. also, im going to be going to uni in september so i have my new accommodation to look forward to (or not look forward to, which ever way you want to look at it).
