We have to wait 15 days? Shame on you, Nintendo

A bit premature considering Super Paper Mario, Metroid Prime 3, Mario Galaxy, RE:UC and Zach & Wiki will be counted as first-year games. With Wii Sports, WarioWare, RE4 Wii, Zelda: TP and more as well we're talking about a very decent first 12 months overall. Personally my biggest disappointment is third parties like Ubisoft and EA throwing out easy ports and simple party games that actually sell well. Hopefully with surprisingly strong sales third parties will take Wii more seriously and we'll see high-production "epic" third party titles from 2008 and beyond.

Ok, "improve". RS looked like a 3 year-old GC game.

Cool. If they can fix the graphics and control as well as implementing a good online option, RS2 can be good.

I don't see the point boycotting them in general. If they produce a triple-A Wii title, I'm going to buy it. If they keep on making below-85% mediocre games such as Red Steel, PoP:Rival Swords and Raving Rabbits, I'm not. Simple as that. It's not only Ubisoft that does this. The only really good 3rd party game so far is RE4 and that's a remade GC game...

X360 version for me. Looks a bit better than GTA4 IMO. Almost as good as Cruis'n...

Brilliant publicity stunt. Both the ban and the GTA4 delay was perfectly timed to secure this as Xmas #1.

Rockstar has announced that the modified Manhunt 2 has finally been given a M rating in the US, clearing the way for an October 31 release. Eurogamer I guess this means early November in Europe.

No Fire Emblem on the list. Will probably not be released in Europe at all.

It can't be true!? If there's still something called "Nintendo Seal of Quality", this won't pass the test. Talking about Dreamcast, take a look at Metropolis Street Racer:

Maybe Nintendo will officially claim this in a few weeks. I bet they have internal sales data for not only Wii, but competitive systems as well... Btw, was N64 ever market leader?

OMG, don't know if everything has been posted before, but this sounds incredibly promising: - Huge amount of voice acting. - Friendly NPC's plays a big part in the game. - Less backtracking and more action oriented compared to the previous games. - Cutscenes, more story oriented. - No losing and recovering of abilities and weapons. Starts with Varia Suit, morphball, bombs, double-jump and standard power beam. - Controls are significantly improved. Feels like it was designed from the beginning for the Wii remote and nunchuk. - "Advanced" control method is prefered. Possibly fastest and most responsive first-person controls in any home console game ever. - Looks a lot like its predecessors, but more detailed and crisper textures. - IGN completed the game in 20 hours. - Reward system similar to achievements on Xbox Live.

I bet #1 this Xmas will be either FIFA 08, Need for Speed: ProStreet or Guitar Hero 3.

Hm, so it's Bioshock later this week, then Super Paper Mario in mid-september, then Halo 3 in late september, Zelda: PH and MP3 in october, perhaps Battalion Wars II in between. Then all hell breaks loose in november with Assassins Creed, Guitar Hero 3, Forever Blue, Super Mario Galaxy, Nights, Mass Effect, Burnout 5 and RE: Umbrella Chronicles. Wow, what a marathon...

Considering Nintendo's HUGE profit, they seem a bit stingy. They should at least have supported HD, included a harddrive and a decent online service. I miss being able to download demos and classic Gamecube games. Can't complain about the first generation line-up though.

I bet we'll see such a game at the end of Wii's lifetime.

Storage. Nintendo should have spent an extra $20 on each unit for a 10-20 GB hard drive. DVD. It has a DVD drive already. Could probably spent a few dollars extra on each unit for decent DVD playback.
