  1. Any good? Does Eric Cartman love cheesy poofs? Hell yes, it's phenomenal. It's to video games as Citizen Kane is to movies. Do yourself a favour and get it somehow. Either on VC on Wii or you can wait for the promotion coming up in a few months on Wii U for €.0.30. I still have my original cart for the SNES and I wouldn't sell it for anything.
  2. Nintendo Releases New Game And Wario Video For Wii U Nintendo Japan has just released a new video of their forthcoming Game and Wario for Wii U. The video shows off an assortment of intriguing and genuinely fun looking mini games. The game revolves around 16 fast and frantic mini games played using the Wii U GamePad. Game and Wario will be released on March 28th in Japan. The game has yet to be given a release date in North America and Europe.
  3. You're almost right. Shulk + Reyn + Sharla = Win
  4. This took some searching to find, might as well have been searching for the Triforce. Had to remove a lot of dust and it sure is cold and echoey in here. Anyway here's a nice glitch from this game for people to try out. [Video Features] Eggbusters “Beta” Episode – Twilight Princess If you own Twilight Princess, you will most likely want to try this glitch out. It’s easily the most fruitful one I’ve done so far with Eggbusters, and one that has more possibilities than I could explore even in ten episodes! Direct transcript of the directions (courtesy of ZeldaWiki) after the break! Run, and jump into the void, and press reset just as Link reaches the height of his jump. As an alternative, go to Arbiter’s Grounds. Save the game, then fall into the first sandpit. When the player sees about 2 inches of Link’s arm left, reset the game. http://nintendoeverything.com/114098/video-features-eggbusters-beta-episode-twilight-princess/
  5. Absolutely. Your health is your greatest wealth and too often it's taken for granted. Without it, you're fairly F#@k€d.
  6. Retro Platformer Another Castle Is Coming To The Wii U eShop Indie support on Wii U continues to grow The Wii U eShop is quickly becoming the go-to place for indie developers — recently we've seen the likes of The 90's Arcade Racer, Armillo, Dusty Raging Fist and Scram Kitty and his Buddy on Rails all confirmed for release on the download service, and today we can exclusively reveal that another promising-looking title has joined their ranks. Another Castle is the work of just one man — David Byers — who goes under the development moniker of Uncade. Byers has previously developed for iOS and Android, and has released titles such as Kid Vector, Love Me Not, Blast Soccer, and Haunted Hallway. The game fuses 2D platforming with a unique twist — the levels in which you play are randomly-generated, and the item you're looking for always remains elusive (it's always in "Another Castle" — sound familiar?). Once you beat the game, the item becomes unlocked on the next playthrough, adding to the game's longevity. Interestingly, Byers posted information about Another Castle on a thread on NeoGAF, which resulted in him being put in touch with representatives at Nintendo and ultimately led to approval to develop for the Wii U eShop. We managed to catch up with Byers and quiz him on his background and Another Castle's development: Uncade right now is basically just me. I’m based in Richmond, Virginia. Part of the reason I named my company Uncade, as in “unlike an arcade”, is that we are in a period of great disruption in the game industry right now. Everything from motion controls, digital distribution, smart phones, fantastic middleware, and the rise of indie development are shaking up what’s possible, even for just a solo developer such as myself. I’m really excited to be working on the Wii U, and am especially looking forward to coming up with some funky uses for the tablet controller. With the development for Another Castle I decided to switch things up. Instead of making a small mobile focused title, I decided to work on a larger game where I would release as early as I can for free, and iteratively improve the game, eventually getting to a saleable alpha and then full release. Emily Rogers ended up playing the prototype and got in touch, asking if I would like to get the game on the eShop. I of course said yes, because I think Another Castle on the eShop should be a slam dunk, it’s something I think Nintendo fans in particular will really enjoy. I spent some time improving the prototype, and Emily then got me in touch with Dan [Adelman] at Nintendo, and I was just approved as a Wii U developer yesterday. The eShop seems pretty indie friendly from what I’ve seen so far, the most important thing for me being the ability to add post release content updates. Another Castle is up on Kickstarter now, with a modest goal of just $12,000. As well as coming to the Wii U, the game will be available for Windows, Mac, Linux, iOS, Android and OUYA, and the release is scheduled for some time in 2014. A prototype of the game has been made available online, which you can check out here. http://www.nintendolife.com/news/2013/02/retro_platformer_another_castle_is_coming_to_the_wii_u_eshop
  7. I came here to post the latest Japanese sales figures and I will as they differ slightly from yours @liger05 but the order remains the same. Nintendo 3DS Continues To Rule Japan, Wii U Overtaken By Vita The Nintendo 3DS has once again had a good week in Japan as it easily outsold the competition. Combined sales of the Nintendo 3DS were 74.729, with its closest competitor, the PlayStation 3, selling 18.529 units. Metal Gear Rising was the best-selling game in Japan overtaking Dragon Quest VII to take the number one spot. Wii U sales continued to slide and this week saw the PlayStation Vita outsell Nintendo’s latest home console. Here’s the Japanese software and hardware charts. 1. [PS3] Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance 2. [3DS] Dragon Quest VII: Warriors of Eden 3. [3DS] Animal Crossing: New Leaf 4. [3DS] Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic 5. [PSP] Toaru Majutsu no Kagaku no Gun Sou Katsugeki 6. [Wii] Taiko Drum Master Wii Super Wonderful Edition 7. [3DS] New Super Mario Bros. 2 8. [3DS] Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate 9. [3DS] Fantasy Life 10.[3DS] Taiko Drum Master: Chibi Dragon and the Mysterious Orb 1. Nintendo 3DS LL – 49,317 (66,139) 2. Nintendo 3DS – 25,412 (31,832) 3. PlayStation 3 – 18,529 (16,934) 4. PlayStation Vita – 11,456 (8,044) 5. Wii U – 9,633 (10,744) 6. PSP – 8,981 (10,501) 7. Wii – 1,317 (1,655) 8. Xbox 360 – 473 (506) Pretty embarrassing. Even the PSP nearly outsold the Wii U, nevermind the Vita beating it.
  8. I don't know about worst but I think it's lazy and unimaginative, so it's in perfect keeping with NSMB.
  9. Random Time! - Amazon feels our Rayman Legends pain Coming from AmazonGames on Twitter... Man, I guess the people behind Amazon's game-focused Twitter really know what's going on in the industry! The delay was sad news, but at least we get this excellent tweet. http://www.gonintendo.com/?mode=viewstory&id=196936 Ubisoft wants Rayman Legends to be one of their best games, thanks to more dev time "The Wii U the team is working hard on the Wii U [version] to make sure it continues to improve, so it can become one of the best Wii U games. We hope it can be one of the top games Ubisoft creates. What's very important to consider is that when a team has more time, they are able to continue to improve the quality of the game. When we saw we had more time, we saw all of the possibilities. Some of the possibilities are the social features that we are seeing today, but also new bosses, new possibilities that will take the game to a level that people will love." - Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot Let's hope this extra time doesn't lead to feature bloat and less focus on the core of the game. Bells and whistles are great, but only when the main course works. http://www.gonintendo.com/?mode=viewstory&id=196922
  10. Wii Mini - UK pricing so far Shopto - £85 Amazon UK - £79.99 Hang tight on a purchase if you're looking to pick up the Wii Mini. More retailers should come in with competitive prices. http://www.gonintendo.com/?mode=viewstory&id=196944
  11. There can only be one: SUPER METROID Without a doubt, the greatest game ever made. It's gaming perfection. It's nearly 20 years old and is a testament to its greatness that it has stood the test of time. Everything was sublime, the start, music, enemies, exploration, map, weapon upgrading, atmosphere, suit upgrades and the ending. I yearn for a Metroid game worthy of taking Super Metroid's crown.
  12. Exactly. Anybody who wants a Wii at this stage can buy a secondhand proper console for a fraction from any number of advert sites with a few games. The price of this thing I bet will be hilarious. The Wii is dead, let it R.I.P.
  13. This thing should be put in a hole, covered with cement, never to see the light of day again. Seriously, it's a piece of $h1t. Stripped down to the barebones. No wi-fi, no USB, no 480p visuals and no Gamecube backwards compatibility. All this in possibly the ugliest, most disgusting shell "ever" for a console and it barely deserves the word Mini in its title. Concentrate on the Wii U Nintendo, you've enough problems with it as it is without further causing confusion.
  14. Beyond Good & Evil 2 Coming To Wii U? Ubisoft developer Mathieu Audrain who is supposedly working on Beyond Good and Evil 2 has listed that the game could be coming to Wii U on his Linkedin profile. Audrain is the level designer behind both ZombiU and Beyond Good and Evil 2. The way that he has listed the game along with the platforms doesn’t really make it one hundred percent clear. Beyond Good and Evil 2 has been in development for a long time, so let’s hope it hasn’t been canned. Ubisoft CEO says Beyond Good and Evil 2 is coming "I don't give comments anymore on BG&E2... because I think... the next time next time we communicate we have to have something new. It's coming." - Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot SO many years of teasing and false reveals for this game. It's #1 on the top of my list for vaporware that should be real. I don't just want the sequel...I need it. http://www.gonintendo.com/?mode=viewstory&id=196840

    Cryamore

Zelda And Secret Of Mana Inspired Cryamore Is Coming To Wii U Cryamore, the Kickstarter project that is highly influenced by The Legend of Zelda, Secret of Mana, Metroid and the Megaman series, will now officially be coming to the Wii U. The developers have had their project funded and the total currently stands at $229,869. The team was asking for $225,000 to secure Cryamore for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Wii U. Here’s a taster of the storyline. Cryamore is about a spunky bookworm who goes by the name of Esmyrelda Maximus! Cryamore is a mineral discovered by her early settlers on Noka Island to replace the now-ancient steam-powered technology. It was later found out that they could be used as elemental catalysts to power a wide variety of things, even humans. But this is causing an imbalance on the island, causing monsters to appear out of nowhere and sapping the town’s resources. Since Esmy (the nickname she prefers to be called) is passionate and a good candidate for Cryamore research, she’s commissioned by the Town Council Chief to search for alternate Cryamore resources, which spirals into a much more ominous dilemma.
  16. This demo really takes some getting used to. I spent half my time battling the camera. I'm used to remote and nunchuk from Tri. Still beat that bear 1st go without dying but I need to get used to the controls. It does look a lot sharper and loading seems quicker. Noticed several new additions besides the weapons and boss fights. It's brought me round a little on this lazy port. Once I get used to the camera and the button mapping I'll be sorted.
  17. Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate demo - details - Two missions - Easy: Hunt Lagombi - Hard: Hunt Pleasioth - Choose from 12 weapons - 20 min for each mission - Wii U demo size: 890 MB - 3DS demo size: 1615 blocks

  19. So if we pester Nintendo incessantly about GTA5 on Miiverse, does it mean they'll make sure that we get it? I think not:cry:
  20. LEGO City Undercover - Webisode 1: Meet Chase McCain
  21. While the game does look good on the 3DS, I think this is more a testament to the lack of effort Capcom are putting into this port of the game.
  22. Users have wanted to play Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate online on 3DS, enabled through the Wii U. This is now possible, but you have to have a Wii U LAN adapter.
  23. Yes, 3DS eShop downloads. Feb. 27th, The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages/Seasons hits 3DS VC. 600 yen each. Get both games for 1,000 yen until early March.
  24. I'm not sure but that's what the pictures made it look like. Unnecessary! Why does the 3DS need the Wii U to do this? Don't answer that, we know why.
