  1. I've been playing Galaxy 2 this evening and you don't repeat the level 3 times. You might get sent back to the start of the level but it's usually heavily remixed and then you get shot off on a completely different path and new part of the level. You can also unlock other galaxies from within that level. I'm sure it'll be good but I have my doubts it'll be truly great. Those levels I posted earlier of 3D World on top of everything else were really short.
  2. I don't remember Galaxy being as linear as this. Obviously it not as open ended as Super Mario 64. I've Galaxy 2 that I've never played. I might just play a few levels to compare it's linearity to this and get back to you. I remember Galaxy as while say you had the end goal. You'd go A-D-G. In between you could choose either B or C and either E or F. I don't know if that makes sense and it's years since I played the game so I could be remembering it wrong.
  3. Thanks. Yeah, wasn't sure if I should create a thread for this topic. Regarding their $150 million, it sounds like a lot but when you consider that GTA5 cost more to make it puts it in perspective. Monster Hunter 4 sales should help alleviate the problems a little but they're a few major titles bombing away from extinction.
  4. http://mynintendonews.com/2013/10/03/capcom-europe-to-cut-more-than-50-of-its-staff/ Shame in a way, I really like Monster Hunter but Capcom have treated Nintendo console owners badly for a long time. They're in a real bad way last I heard they'd less than $150 milliion in the bank. Nintendo should buy them out as they've got brilliant franchises and that way we could get for example a Street Fighter on a home console for the first time since the SNES.
  5. I read it all and your "MASSES" of hype line. I wouldn't quite go with that but we can all agree it looks miles better. Nintendo Minute -- Super Mario 3D World New Levels and Power-up! After watching that my interest dropped again. Nothing inspiring about those 2 levels, they were linear, non challenging and empty. I hope there are few as bad as those and they are more of the open world variety.
  6. Yes, so "smart" because they did that on purpose and wanted that backlash from E3.
  7. Rest in Peace. He was a terrific and prolific author, without whom we would never have got to experience the adaptation of a great series of movies and games.
  8. I do see your point. Nintendo are very fond of the wash/rinse/repeat cycle. I wouldn't be surprised if they had a level editor over there in Tokyo. This game looked abysmal at E3 but its come on leaps and bounds in the mean time and I think in the 4 months it shows why they went this route. It looks really nice now but I think Nintendo had to use the cookie cutter in order to have this out by Christmas. Take this game out of the line-up and what core Nintendo game have you got? My concern now is it could be a short game to get it out on time. We'll see.
  9. Anybody think the reason the pipes are transparent has some sort of a correlation with the green Sprixie fairy?
  10. Haven't tried it myself yet but supposedly youtube videos with preceding ads can't be played.
  11. Happy belated birthday and fair play to lostmario for his cúpla focal as Gaeilge.
  12. Newsflash: I buy consoles to play video games not some sh1tty @ssed Karaoke puke fest with Wing Han Tsang versions of songs. I don't care how much it sells. Sh1t sells, just look at X Factor, Big Brother, 1 Direction and Geordie Shore for examples. Doesn't make them any good or mean I give a F#%K.
  13. I can't wait to pop Princess Peach's cherry in this game
  14. And with that I'm done. You're either not listening or understanding.
  15. Yes they're from the Direct and no there's no Peach version or at least it wasn't shown at this time.
  16. Live by the sword, die by the sword. Chickens coming home to roost springs to mind.
  17. Who says they have to? They've had so many game delays and if they knowingly chose to delay DK to fill a schedule hole then it shows a lack of respect to their customers. Which game would you rather play, DK or Karaoke? Karaoke isn't even a game and it's diarrhea.
  18. No you're the first person to figure this out, ever. Congratulations!
  19. No my point is DKCR:TF is a core game that is a much more attractive game while Karaoke is a piece of sh1t aimed at casuals. DK was the only game I was looking forward to before Christmas but 3D World looking good now has cushioned that blow. Again run along now and go bother somebody else.
  20. Go bother someone else. I haven't ate my words it looked awful at E3. That was their fault. People are allowed to revise their opinion you know, I've no problem saying it looks good now. If they had shown this first there wouldn't have been such a backlash initially.
  21. Yes 3D World looks miles better now. E3 had made it look awful.
  22. Yes because I quote every rumour going. I'm very selective about them, it was from a reliable source and sites like Amazon had moved the listing into 2014. Try harder and was the rumour b@ll@cks?
  23. I mentioned the rumoured delay of DKCR:TF a few days ago in its thread and again the rumour was that it has nothing to do with it not being ready. It's supposedly near gold but it's strategic on Nintendos's part. They didn't want it cannibalizing sales of other games and they wanted a game to fill the void in early 2014.
  24. The steam version was around £5 at one stage. It's €19 at this moment in time. Can you honestly see them selling this game for €20? Not a chance and it'll be a year late when it arrives.
