  1. So is this still scheduled for a March release in Europe? When is it coming out?
  2. LOL at that comic!! But I was watching the gameplay footage that IGN have uploaded there and never having played The Two Thrones on the previous consoles, I am very interested in this game. I'll probably get this.
  3. Yeah, I am by no means a graphics whore, but those graphics are ridiculous... The only pic that looks good is the last one. I mean, RE4 looks at least 4 times better than that. Wii Sports looks better than that. The Miis may be very simple in design (purposefully) but the rest of the game is pretty good looking.
  4. Of the 2D Marios, I don't know between Mario 3 and Mario World. It's been 10 years since I last played Mario World, so I can't really make a decision now, but something tells me Mario World is better than Mario 3.
  5. I'll group with the people who think Mario 64 is better than Sunshine. Sunshine was quite the disapointment. I'll point out some of the things that, in my opinion, are worse in Sunshine: - The way Mario feels. I mean, the way you control him is pretty much the same (despite controller differences, the controls are pretty much the same), but the way Mario responds, moves and behaves is quite different. The Mario in Sunshine "feels" stiff, whilst the Mario in 64 was very fluid. This can be more actively "felt" whilst tiptoeing. I don't know if I made this point come across, but it's hard to explain any better, it's all in the feel. - The fact that it doesn't take place in Mushroom Kingdom is an instant turn-off. No level variation at all, it's all beaches and sun. Well, it is called Sunshine, I know, but that makes the game feel more like a spin off rather than a real Mario game, if you know what I mean. - Different versions of the same damn level. 64 is guilty of this too, but did it better than Sunshine, IMHO. I hate the fact that coins (especially the blue ones) are located in different places in each of the different episodes of the same level. Maybe some people feel different, but I don't want to explore the same level in all different episodes if I'm hunting for one of the last elusive coins. I want to go in the level and explore it all in one go, and know that it's the same in the other episodes. If you want different levels, make up entirely new ones, don't make different versions of the same ones. - The camera is also worse than 64's. In general, Super Mario Sunshine, whilst definitely a good game, was a big disapointment for me as I have learnt to expect much better from a Mario game. I really hope Galaxy delivers more and better although it's not in the Mushroom Kingdom either, it seems.

    Sadness

That's because the hype isn't coming from the game's looks, it's coming from its concept. I'm very much looking forward to seeing how this game will turn out cause its concept is very interesting. If it turns out to be like they say it will, it will be a very different and interesting game indeed.
  7. Yeah, and put the console horizontally.
  8. I would love it.
  9. I bought the normal version a year ago, brand new and sealed, for €9.99, which is approx. £6.72.
  10. No. But the Eternal Darkness poster is.
  11. Is it really that good? You got me interested.
  12. My god... that's FUCKING BEAUTIFUL!!!
  13. Exactly. The major difference you are reffering to, mcj metroid, is all about opinion, not fact. The fact is that both games were very much changed, RE more than MGS even. Anything else is opinion. Your opinion is that RE was changed for the better and MGS for the worse. Fair enough.
  14. I'm not arguing over the fact that the voices were re-recorded, if you notice correctly. It just is stupid to say it's not metal gear because of that. MGS:TS is as much Metal Gear as REmake is Resident Evil. And REmake is as much different from the original as a remake can be, at least in terms of sound. Not only the voices were re-recorded (and they are still bad in REmake), but all the sound effects and music are new. Cut scenes, like in MGS, are also new. Yet no-one says REmake isn't Resident Evil. This is my only point here. If you prefer the original one, the PS1 MGS, that game still exists, it was not destroyed in fire after they finished TS, you can play that one.
  15. You're right, it's Crash Bandicoot. OGMZ!!!1 Teh h0rr0rx!11 You know, the voices in REmake were also completely changed, the sounds and music 100% new and the camera angles are also different. I don't see anyone complaining about that or saying it's not Resident Evil, however.
  16. Ah, crap.... I was, for some reason, thinking of playing GC games with the Wiimote!
  17. BTW, for people who play GC games on the Wii, have you tried playing 2 disc games like REmake, RE4, MGS? Does the disc swap thing work? Shortly before the Wii came out there were doubts wether this would work or not... And whilst on the MGS subject, how do you beat Psycho Mantis if you're playing on the Wii?? (I think you know what I mean, without spoilers )
  18. Well, just for the sake of objectivity, I don't know who the hell pedrocasilva is (or dabooker man, for that matter), I'm not that active in these boards, but dabookerman was indeed owned. If you can't see it, it's because you're in denial.
  19. But that's why Nintendo designed the dungeons in Ocarina in such a way that the boss room is just by the entrance of the dungeon. This is true for a majority of the dungeons: Inside Deku Tree, Dodongo Cavern, Inside Lord Jabu Jabu, Forest Temple, Fire Temple (especially this one...), Water Temple and Shadow Temple. This one (Shadow) might be the one in which the boss is further away from the entrance. There is a shortcut to the boat (a false floor that the Lens of Truth reveals) but what makes it long is the boat trip... That was annoying cause Bongo Bongo is also an annoying boss in which it's pretty easy to miss an arrow to the hands due to the drumming... Damn, this boss is hilariously ridiculous. That only leaves the Spirit Temple out, and that's because I honestly don't remember this dungeon's layout all that well.... In fact, wait, I think there is a trick that you activate, a lift in the very first room of the Spirit Temple that takes you up to the giant statue room, that is actually the entrance to the boss room (through the face of the statue). So I guess that actually means all the main dungeons have the boss room quite near the entrance. Only Ganon's Castle makes you climb the stairs all the way each time you lose (I think).
  20. I think that was in the case you delete them from your channels, they continue to be somewhat connected to your specific console. So you can erase all your VC games from your channels, if you need space, and you can download them again at a latter date, free of charge. You cannot redownload them into a different console, however.
  21. That's only true in the case of shallow people, people who just follow trends, who listen to what the radio feeds them, etc. People who know what they like don't change their tastes based on what's available or what comes first. Back when the Wii was supposed to be released in multiple colours, I and many others didn't care for the white one. The colour I would most prefer for myself is grey, as in the SNES and the N64 controller. If that isn't possible then I'll take the black one. But I never really wanted a white one, even though I think it's pretty, I just don't want it if I can get the other one.
  22. Yes. And what's your excuse for such a retarded question out of the blue?
  23. That's exactly what I said:
  24. Why are you acusing him of lying when those 2 statements are obviously the same thing? He knew where the village was, he just didn't know how to fix the bridge (a missing bit, I gather, you see, I haven't actually played TP but I had to reply to this nonsense).
