The game was/is totally nuts, a flying penguin or squid as your ship is most definitely a plus though I thought it was way better than gradius.

We watched season one of Elfen Lied the other day and its real good though there are some similarities between it and chobits. Its a nice violent gorefest with and good story. Pity only one series was made. Started watching Moon Phase, cute vampire meats (no mistake there) boy kinda thing, it looks promising got 25 episodes to go though....

Jayne's Spicy Chicken Noodle and pepper soup. My creation (before I wen back to being a vegitarian) 1.5Lts chicken stock or veg Stock 8 chicken thighs 1 Carrot 2 Spring onion 1 onion 1 pack of noodles medium noodles handfull of pepper corns Cook the thighs in oven till ready, then leave to cool, into a pot finely chop the onion and soften, cut the carrot into fine batons add to pot, pour in stock and bring to a boil, simmer for 10 mins. remove the chicken meat from the thighs and add to the pot, simmer for 5 more mins then add all the noodles, turn off the heat and place a lid on. Crush the peppercorns and chop the spring onion. When noodles are ready stir in the pepper, ladle into bowls garnish with the spring onion. Mmmm lovely, for vegetarian replace the chicken with broccoli and chicken stock with veg stock. Go on try it its just what you need for a winters day

don't bother getting an old machine to run the classics, just download SCUMMVM. You then only need to get the games which are nice and cheap or some are free tot download Beneath a steel sky for instance can be downloaded legally on the scummvm site. I playall my point and click games on scummvm, and they work a treat. I even have monkey islands on my DS

I was diagnosed with anorexia and bulimia near 10 years ago, I have had them since i was around 14 im now 36. Its not something that you want to share and is very hard to talk about to others. I told my dietary nurse that I don't think you can be cured of either you just have change your view point a little. Each day is the beginning of the road back dont look to the next week, month or year a day is only 24 hours and is easier to handle. Each day is always the first day to recovery. I have been where your friend is now and it took one thing for me to stop that was myself, until she wants help you can only slow down the inevitable. Im not saying its easy to do, hell I suffer every day but I'm at a health weight I eat atleast one meal a day. With friends and families support she will get there, gentle nudges are better than pushes

That would halve to be Dungeona Master on the Amiga, 36 hours with a few food n personal breaks. Cant see me doing tht sort of thing again, games aint that long anymore <g>
