It's mostly on point. The article is right about almost everything. Key word is almost though... Pixel Perfect? Last time I checked, it was anything but. Unless you like vertically stretched Mario World. And if you do, then I don't know what to say really. NEVER TURN ON ORIGINAL RESOLUTION! I will write a strongly worded letter if any of you do.

Then buy digital. Problem solved!
-
Oh, that reminds me! I've been meaning to ask you something about that review. Who wrote that line? Who went absolute ham on the alliteration? You're not 90's Rare, stop it!
-
Well then, it boils down to one question... Are you feeling lucky?

Seeing as the download version of New Super Mario Bros. U is being replaced with the double pack, either two things will happen. - NSLU vanishes without a trace... - NSLU stays exactly where it is so people who have just got NSMBU can still download it. (My money's on this happening)

Oh good, I'm not the only one thinking this. Let's wait until 2, then we can be insulted.

A series getting early backlash for taking a bold new direction? That's easy to believe. People are scared of change. I can imagine some Super Metroid diehards being utterly horrified when Prime got revealed.

I have to agree a bit here. When I first saw a trailer, the lack of control over what the Yokai do immediately set off alarm bells. After playing the demo, the battles are... better than what I was worried it would be. It's still not great, I hate having such little control, and that's a shame, because this game has a lot of charm and the actual concept of rotating Yokai on the fly to get rid of status conditions, etc. is actually pretty cool.

It's gonna have to be a maybe. I'm working tomorrow and I don't know whether my shift will clash or not. EDIT: OK, so get this. Not 1 hour after I declared myself a maybe, my boss decides to call up about my shift. He said something along the lines of "Glen, I've seen your re-entry into the N-E Mario Kart League and I'm very disappointed that you're in first place. The thought of you actually staying up there because you couldn't take part this week sickens me, so I've moved your shift to Friday. If you don't get in there and take the justice you deserve for that theme you made everyone do last week, you'll be in serious trouble." ...I might have made most of that up. That said, count me IN! @RedShell

That's Volcanion, the last of the Pokemon ro be distributed in Gen 6 and the first Fire/Water type Pokemon. That Donut is two pipes that can seperate and shoot boiling water.

Dat choice of music! DOSE MASTERFUL EDITS! DAT ENDING! @Dcubed and his bro have created a masterpiece! Great work!

Am I the only one who's laughing at you guys wanting realistic pilot controls? Last time I checked, Starfox was a series about anthropomorphic animals flying around shooting stuff in space and all sorts of planets. With lasers! But being able to look behind you mid-flight? Now that's mental! Priorities might be a bit eschewed here. Oh, and I had no idea Pilots used a WiiU Pro Controller to fly. Maybe I should sign up, I might be decent! Give a little suspension of disbelief here.

You're saying this to someone who has got a grand total of 4 amiibos. If that's an addiction, then some people here have a serious crisis!
-
I never knew it until just now, but I want a Leon amiibo. I would happily pay for that.

Were you playing on a New 3DS? Because I played the demo and it ran like a dream. Sure, there's a little bit more pop-up, but it's nothing too distracting. Looks impressive too! The character switching is a god-send though, that's gonna be incredibly useful! AI Impa having trouble with a Lizalfos? No problem! I'll play as Impa for a bit and smack it's lizardy face. Even better, using the command feature, I've just told Link and Zelda to run to the Fairy Fountain so that when I'm done with the Lizalfos, I can just switch back to them instantly and finish the objective there in less than 5 seconds. I love it! It encourages you to get good with loads of characters! I feel like I have so much more control over the battlefield, which means that if I mess up and fail a level, it's far more likely that it was my fault. This game can't come out soon enough!

BTW, quick tip, if you do buy both SNES games, get Mario World first. It's a bit cheaper than Earthbound, so you'll save more money if the discount is applied to Earthbound. Also, there's an option in the VC Menu called "Original Resolution" NEVER TURN IT ON! It squashes the visuals! And it looks horrible. SNES games are supposed to be stretched to 4:3, that's how they're made!
-
I'm gonna tell you what I told @Dcubed, you're mental if you think they're gonna show that before E3 time. After all, that's when they revealed Earthbound Beginnings last year and the reaction was immense! And revealing Mother 3 a year later would be very nice.
-
Pretty decent direct. Paper Mario looks gorgeous, but it seems to play a bit like Sticker Star, so naturally, the internet will hate it. I don't mind, I enjoyed Sticker Star. SNES games are also nice I will happily pay for portable Earthbound and Super Metroid.

Pokemon Red, Blue & Yellow (3DS Virtual Console)

Not in RBY. Most people just pay for the coins, to be honest. -
Because it was really funny! That Random track was just the icing on the ridiculous cake! Could not have dreamt of a more poetic ending to a truly horrific night! I take it that everyone thought it was the best night ever and won't see me in anything but a positive light for suggesting such an inspired theme? Right? Not gonna lie, I have missed the insanity a bit. Great night! EDIT: Oh, and @Nicktendo. You weren't using motion controls! You lied!

Pokemon Red, Blue & Yellow (3DS Virtual Console)

Yeah, wait until I get the Earthquake TM. Then I'm sure to get the upper hand. Unless @Ugh first aid has the same idea, which she probably does, because she only has one Ground type. Whenever me and her replay old Pokemon games, we tend to have a team we wanna try already thought out, so why waste EXP on Pokemon we're just gonna inevitably replace? And considering how slow Gen 1 is compared to the newer ones, we want to avoid as much grinding as possible. We did set two rules for ourselves though. - No legendaries (That includes the birds, we always have that rule though) - Until we finish our fifth and final "Championship Battle" we have to use the Pikachu we got from Oak. If you're gonna play Yellow, you've gotta do it properly. That said, I now have my sixth Pokemon, a Cubone that I nicknamed Jasper. Naturally I immediately leveled it up to the rest of my team, so it's a Marowak now. And it wins the reward for "Dodgiest Back Sprite on my team" It's got massive spikes on it's back and I have no idea why! -
Pokemon Red, Blue & Yellow (3DS Virtual Console)

Well, @Ugh first aid and I had our second battle after 4 badges. This time, I won! Thanks to a mixture of half her team not being fully evolved and my new Hypno and it's ridiculous Special stat. It'll be interesting to see where it'll swing at 6 badges. We'll both have a full team and they'll all be fully evolved by that point, so it'll be far more fair. That said, my Nidoking still utterly failed to beat her Nidoqueen. Stupid Nidoqueen and her stupid distracting assets and her stupid body slamming making Nidoking not want to even try and dodge it. I'm starting to see why this got a PEGI 12... And now I feel like my Nidoking is the true winner here... -
I say keep it two groups, but make sure the top placers are together while the bottom group play together. In other words, how it was done last year. Personally, I think leaving people out should be avoided whenever possible.
